Best Patio Beers?

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies and Gentlemen and Scoundrels :D

Where do you like to bend the elbow for some patio suds and maybe do some bird watching or have a chat?

Spring is in the air and this sunshine is making me thirsty - give me some ideas as to where kill the afternoon :D

Cheers!

It's been awhile, but heart and crown was the spot for me - good beer, on the market, and good wings if one wanted to nibble...

Aux Quatres Jeudi has been a more recent, and more frequented, spot of mine on the gatineau side (right by the Portage complex). There is pizza-za, for european pizza, or the Argoat, if you are into starting the evening with a crepe (their crepe suzete is to die for) if you want to start with a light lunch....

Most of the market area pubs, e.g.

Willie and Juan's (formerly Mexi's) on St. Joseph in Orleans.

For those old enough to remember, the rooftop at the old Hurley's in the market, now a Hard Rock I believe was a great spot.

Booo, looks like it'll be a while until you have perfect patio weather again. : (

It's also why I took every afternoon off last week to get a few early patio beers in. :D James Street Pub patio was packed on St. Patty's Day.

I also like Sparks St. @ lunch with all the sexy businesswomen in suits.

Yes, I'm young enough to remember, and it was a great spot.
