Soldiers more likely to have experienced childhood abuse: study

Recommended Posts

Now most of us have heard the stereotypes (and likely Harper/MacKay

et al believe it) that escorts are amongst other things victims of abuse

And that is why it should be illegal (granted a very abridged version of that opinion)

But now a study that soldiers more than likely to have experienced childhood abuse...so doesn't that mean the Government is exploiting childhood abuse

Sorry, thinking out loud

Here's the story

Interesting read but like a lot of data it can be used in many different ways... i certainly hope it not used to create a negative image of our service men.

Just my opinion

Childhood abuse is often used to validate the reasons to abolish prostitution. I guess we should abolish our national defence (especially with all of it's association with *gasp* violence).*

*Note: obvious sarcasm. I have immense respect for military, soldiers, et al. Sorry if I offended anyone.

You caught the irony. The Government runs the Military and yet if one believes this study, they, the Government are exploiting those abused as children

Yet the Government in it's arguments against prostitution argues that prostitutes have been victims of childhood abuse and prostitution is continuing the abuse, and clients are abusers

So doesn't that make the Government abusers of military personal

But I have nothing but the utmost respect for all men and women serving in the military
