I believe so. Both Barefax and the Den open at 5 and Barb's at 6. I don't think there's anything preventing them from being open earlier, it's just that I don't think there is a large enough demand to make it worthwhile. Daytime on Saturdays can get quiet enough -- I'd be scared to see a club during the day on a Sunday!

It sounds like you would be better off getting an SP or two (maybe who dance or have danced before) to do a private party for your group, rather than venturing out to a club.

Many of us just have a resting bitch face, especially when out and about. ;)

And lots of girls don't bother scheduling themselves, so it's certainly not a perfect system. :)

I haven't even seen her name on the schedule in a while, but lots of girls take extended breaks here and there, so it may not mean retirement!

As long as she is dancing for other clients, you are free to get dances from other dancers. There is no cheating in the client/dancer relationship, but there are some dancers who will try to guilt you into only spending time with them. I think you may be reading too much into your interactions with her. Enjoy your time together and feel free to explore other options - it sounds like visiting MAs and escorts, and perhaps even other clubs/dancers, would be a good thing for you.

It's also more rampant in certain cities (Toronto comes to mind, where some of my girlfriends are constantly being approached by these kind of guys in all types of clubs) than others.

I think strip clubs and brothels are two very different services that cater to two different experiences. While there may certainly be overlap between the clientele, there are different reasons for each experience. I just can't see all strip clubs turning into hybrid strip club/brothels. In the GTA though, it seems that many strip clubs already sort of offer both services, so this pilot project seems like more of a formality than anything. I'll be curious to see what happens a year from know when things are more clear over the Supreme Court ruling. I'm sure there will be some sort of licensing or zoning bylaws over the brothels. I'd just be very surprised to see strip clubs amalgamated with brothels overall.

It's really as simple as just asking the dancer you're interested in! Must clubs cut songs in the CR so they're about the same length (or at least within 30 seconds of each other), so it's easy enough to figure out the right time/$ ratio that's fair for both parties. I don't think a dancer would get offended by it unless you framed it in a way where you were trying to get a deal/rip her off, which it doesn't sound like you would.

Dancers escorting on the side and offering escort-y services in the club is certainly not an Ottawa-wide trend -- it's incredibly club specific, so I don't think you're correct thinking that half of dancers in Ottawa partake in either activity. Some clubs are just more willing to turn a blind eye than others.

They're an option at Barb's, Barefax and the Den, but it's not an option that (a) most dancers bring up or that (b) most customers tend to go for anyway. They're generally $10 with no contact, often only topless though not always. Not a lot of dancers like to do them in the first place since, not only does the private dance cost more, but anyone can ogle them during the table dance out on the floor -- so you may not always find a girl willing to do one even if you ask!

There's a handful of ladies on cerb who do both, but most dancers keep mum on their escorting in the club (at least to other dancers and staff), so it's hard to tell. I don't think there's a lot of overlap though -- dancing and escorting are in two very different comfort zones.

My thoughts exactly. Personally, I like making those connections and getting updates on what's new and exciting in the lives of some of my clients. It's like having a friend visit me at work. But it's very true that you can't replicate those moments from customer to customer. Some people just click and have those shared interests or compatible personalities that mesh well together. I also don't think that having a connection/chatting on the floor and enjoying a high mileage dance must be mutually exclusive -- it's not an either or sort of thing. You can enjoy each other's company on the floor and then enjoy even more in the champagne room.

The CR in Barb's is definitely the least private in Ottawa, but it's truly a non-issue during the daytime, as a few posters have already pointed out! As for dancers ignoring customers eying them... Don't be shy, just go up and say hi. You may think you're being obvious with your eye contact, but that's not always the case.
