Here are some reasons guys prefer cams: - They can be cheaper than seeing a lady. - Some guys are voyeurs and get off watching (with the added power trip of telling the cam girl what to do/how to do it). For some guys the idea of hiring an escort doesn't jive with them so they hire cam girls instead. - If you do not live anywhere near the lady you fancy, camming allows you to have an experience with her as best you can. - Camming is easier to cover up than seeing a lady is and since guys are used to hiding their online porn from their SOs, hiding a cam site would easily be done as it falls under their usual routine of deleting browser history. There are many other reasons, and many variations on these reasons, of course. I think camming is a good idea, but I wouldn't do it through any cam site. Sad to say, but some thorough digging on cam sites doesn't reveal much good. Many have reputations for ripping off both the cam girls and customers. Truthfully, I did not enjoy it, but I know several people who love it wholeheartedly. What I didn't enjoy was how impersonal it is; you can't really tell who you're talking to, you can't touch them, messages get mixed up, etc. BUT that's not to say I didn't have some absolutely hilarious times with it! Getting to masturbate on camera for cash is like a dream come true, and you really have to get your creative side out to succeed, since your shows need to keep people interested. Similar to this industry, you will usually have to invest a lot of money to make money back, and it has it's frustrating and dead times too. To many, the appeal lies more in the pictures and videos, rather than the public shows. There are so many different cam girls, that you're almost guaranteed to find your dream girl, and get videos or pictures made especially for you for whatever fantasy(within reason) you may have. I noticed that during public shows, the men are rarely super horny and jerking it, they're more supporting a girl they like, and who they want to see do well. It's like a community, everyone hangs out, chats, plays games and has a good time..and you get to watch a sexy girl do sexy things..certainly sounds appealing to me! ;) Not everyone likes to be physically intimate with strangers, that can be very intimidating for many. One guy told me on cam yrs ago that he was scared of catching a disease so watching girls on cam was his solution...
