Greetings to my sexy ladies and my kind gentlemen !:-) Soo I have a question, Maybe alot of you girls have been in the same position, doing this job and all. I want to move into a new apartment ASAP, preferably close to downtown, but with me doing this job and all, it's been hard because alot of places need job references etc. I also have bad credit from doing stupid things when I was younger :P So that doesn't help! So, I'm worried that I won't find a nice place soon, However, I do have references from old landlords etc that show I pay rent on time everytime . So if anyone knows of any nice apartments/condos that are nice, and not to strict about stuff please please let me know it would be greatly appreciated!! Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted October 18, 2010 I've never had to do this myself but I know other ladies who have....Try and find a condo or apartment that is a sublet. There are people out there in positions where they have to get rid of their apartment quickly. Then you only have to deal with them. If they get a good vibe that you are a person of good character and have first and last month's rent, you may be in luck. You can always try looking on kijiji and search under "sublet". Another way is to find a condo owner who rents privately. They will most likely want you to sign a one year lease but if they forgo the credit check and see you're a decent person with first and last month's rent, you win. If you aren't employed elsewhere, try and get someone to vouch for you by writing a letter of employment with the company's letterhead on top. This letter is always a good tool to have when hunting for an apartment. Preferably the person writing this letter should be someone you know ( i.e. a bf, longtime regular client) and state how much you make either monthly or yearly. They should also be in a position to do this for you without any consequences on their end.. meaning not losing their job.
