This one hit hard. For some reason, there are people who are so embedded in the fabric of your life that you are tricked into thinking they are eternal.

The world dimmed a little with his passing.

...Now, Suzanne takes your hand and she leads you to the river

She's wearing rags and feathers from Salvation Army counters

And the sun pours down like honey on our lady of the harbor

And she shows you where to look among the garbage and the flowers

There are heroes in the seaweed, there are children in the morning

They are leaning out for love and they wil lean that way forever

While Suzanne holds her mirror...

Rejoice!

As Leonard Cohen said when his friend Mordecai Richler left this life.

It is everyone's turn to live and then to leave this life.

Leonard Cohen gave us so much.

He will not be forgotten.

The world has lost one of the most multi- talented icons.

My biggest regret is, I did not have a chance to see him live in a concert.

RIP, Leonard Cohen.

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded

Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed

Everybody knows the war is over

Everybody knows the good guys lost

Everybody knows the fight was fixed

The poor stay poor, the rich get rich

That's how it goes

Everybody knows

I loved you for a long, long time

I know this love is real

It don't matter how it all went wrong

That don't change the way I feel

And I can't believe that time's

Gonna heal this wound I'm speaking of

There ain't no cure,

There ain't no cure,....

I did my best, it wasn't much

I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch

I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you

And even though it all went wrong

I'll stand before the Lord of Song

With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

and Lord, did he touch!

With one hand on the hexagram and one hand on the girl

I balance on a wishing well that all men call the world.

We are so small between the stars, so large against the sky,

and lost among the subway crowds I try to catch your eye.

Additional Comments:

There ain't no cure for love!

Maybe because it's a blessing rather than an illness :)

I'm not sure about that... In my experience marriage is a pretty effective cure for love.

I was unable to accommodate to any friends or guests for a solid week due to his passing. My week consisted of basking in the beautiful sounds of his tremendous voice and beautiful words.

RIP Leonard!! You are adored!
