Another food thread - what are your old stand-by's or comfort food choices?

Recommended Posts

All these recent threads about food, had me thinking about what I like to eat if I'm not that hungry or too lazy to cook or just feel like having it.

Some of my favourites:

3 Minute Noodles (msg will kill you)

A bowl of cheerios and milk.

Fried egg sandwich like my mom used to make.

Fresh sliced tomato on white bread (yes, must be white bread) and mayo, salt and peper.

Nacho chips with melted cheese on top and salsa.

Big cold glass of milk and 2 cookies.

Anything take-out!

Popcorn. Drenched in a disgusting amount of margarine and salt. I've had this for snacks, dinner, breakfast....ahhhhh popcorn. One of the loves of my life I think, hahaha

Agree on the pizza! Either Domino's or Santa Lucia's for this guy

Just about anything barbecued

Beer (seems to always go hand in hand with comfort food anyway)

KD

Chef Boyardee, straight from the can. I will argue until my last breath that it tastes the same cold in the can as it does heated in a bowl! Too many steps involved dammit!

Garlic bread when i'm at work

For me it's when I make poached eggs for breakfast on the weekends.

Add bacon and enjoy with fresh squeezed orange juice.

... and then there is Dark Choclate, with or without nuts.

Spicy tofu burritos, I usually have them for breakfast but anytime I want something filling with a lot of flavour it's my go to meal.

Chips with guacamole.

Wild mushroom ragout, great in the wintertime.

Dolsot Bibimbap

I love soups as well and there is a place in the city that makes a great vegan Pho which is a pretty regular stop for me year round.

Chef Boyardee in a can is a staple in my diet! seriously, I bring like 5 cans with me when I tour and eat them out of the can! Tastes way better cold then heated!

At work my daily lunch diet is Chef Boyardee Ravioli straight outta the can and Alphagetti or Zoodles outta the can.

At home my old stand by is toasted bacon cheese and tomato sandwich.
