bcguy42 38594 Report post Posted July 15, 2011 I ended up giving a 1-hour tour of Ottawa to a family from Vancouver this afternoon. Part of my bit is to point out the geographic historical coincidence that as you drive down Sussex, you drive by the home of the British High Commissioner (that wee little house across the street from Foreign Affairs - Sir John A used to live there) and after the NRC building comes the French Embassy and the next house after the British and the French is 24 Sussex - Steve's house. When we passed the French Embassy they were clearly having a huge celebration on the grounds. Dad asked me what that was all about. I almost told him about National Nude day.
