It is sad to say, but the same things happens here also, in Ottawa. It all depends how the client feels. We cannot force reviews, or recos.

There are many reasons why this happens, but here are the more common:

  1. Does'nt feel like it;
  2. Not an outstanding experience;
  3. To shy to kiss and tell;
  4. No time to do it;
  5. Feel like everything has been said.

I understand your desapointment and believe me, it's the same here. But as said before, it's up to the client to decide if the sp deserves a reco or not. Eventhought we are whinning about it (me included), it will give no results.

Best thing to do is to book with a well recommended sp and to write one yourself. You are lucky CERB service providers from your area seem to be awesome. Why not kiss and tell?

Why not kiss and tell?

I humbly submit #6 to your list: "Have been trying for weeks to find the words to describe how amazing it was." It's not that easy, especially if you're new. :)

This is the way I see the problem. On this board we can only give recommendations. I am o.k. with giving a recommendation but only if can am allowed to pan poor performance. Allowing only recommendations puts in question my honesty.

If under a national socialist state I am only permitted to say the 'Volkswagon and the Mercedes are great cars that give fantastic exceptional performance , each in their own class. They both have exciting options and well worth a test drive or several test drives. Further, one might consider a lease on either of these beauties' .But I am not allowed to say that 'the Porsche over promices and under preforms. She, I mean it, has has rushed my experience, jumps from gear to gear before reaching maximum rpms, seems uncontrolable in the corners, generally has a attitude of superiority and give German motoring a bad name.'

Then I am not going to say anything publically . To do otherwise I am pardoning this policy.

If you ask about a certain lady that I have experience of I will offer my oppinion in a PM, good or bad.

Unfortunately if a member makes a request for information and recieves no response publically all readers assume that it is a negative responce . This is not nessicarily the case.

I might be giving a fantastic review. Under the guideline we have , I won't do so publically ...

My sincere appology to Porscha. I was well into this hypothetical scenario when I realized that I may seem to be implying something about an experience with her.

Nothing, absolutely nothing ; could be farther from the truth.

Number 6 could be nothing good to say.

I don't use this site as a review or recommendation, I use it for the advertising that some of the Ladies do, I would not see someone based just on the information provided here. I hoped this is not viewed as negetive, it was not meant to be, I always base my decisions by weighting the good and bad.

That is a very interesting post Chavez... quite funny actually and explains your opinion very well which is cool. We all know you and you post what is on your mind. Kudo's

I would like to just offer an opinion for others, or newer members. Using Chavez's car scenario...... If you take a VW Jetta out and it performs like a top of the line Porche in every away and more than meets and exceeds your expections.....then I would think a reco would be an amazing thing to do for one who provides the product ( sorry this sounds f**kin bad lol )

Now as said before not everyone is the type to post or nervous about it, as I was initially. No need to be graphic, but a positive post on a wonderful or amazing experience means a lot to the ladies, personally and professionally.

Now....lets say if Megforfun or Emma Alexander booked me for a couple hours, expecting a Porche and I performed like a broken down Chevette, then don't post here !!! haha. Go to one of the other sites and let me have it ;)

Go Jets Go !!!

I just opened randomly the Ottawa, Fredericton, and Winnipeg recommendation sections, and there's lots of new activity there. Some of the posts are excellent, I think.

So I'm not sure that there's been an overall worsening of the review situation.

If I may, and not knowing the Winnipeg scene that well, but for Ottawa I will say this. I think the rec's are down for sure in Ottawa,from many long time hobbiest (including myself).

Some reasons maybe but not inclusive

a) Slow times in the business? after summer vacations etc etc?

b) they have not been posting anymore due to comments made throughout threads, where some other hobbiest think that the rec's are _ _ _ _ (you can fill in the blanks)

c)Not as busy with ladies as before.

d) Some other hobbiest select ladies based on other info, instead of rec's, so that would leave the guy scratching his big head should he? or shouldn't he?

e) The hobbiest simply does not kiss and tell.

My thoughts on it,but I could be very wrong....

the next 'hidden gem'

Is there even such a thing? There's never any guarantee that you'll get along with the best-reviewed lady in town. And there's nothing to say that you won't turn out to be the kind of person the worst-reviewed lady in town actually connects with. It's as subjective and variable and crazymaking as... well, falling in love<g>. Just a lot less complicated and generally safer ;)

Good points, I find that men here in Ottawa are sending more pm's requesting info about so and so OR are starting a thread about "Has anyone seen so and so?" please pm me for any info.

There is more of that lately then actual rec's.

As far as..." is there even such a thing"? The answer is no. Simply because no two gents are cut from the same cloth, therefore the rec gent 'x' made about the lady, gent 'y' would never have the same great time.

IMHO

Guest New B**ce

I'm new to this site but I'm impressed with the reviews I've read so far. There's lots to get through but I'm liking it.

Well you know how I find out about a lady. If her profile/website/posts attract my attention, I contact her. If after communicating with her, she still has my attention, I schedule an encounter. And I'll say, it's worked pretty well for me

Also, something about recommendations/reviews. I do write a reco on a lady if I had a good or great time with her, and believe another gentleman would enjoy the lady's company. And any lady I have reco'd I have either had repeat encounters with, or will. But with bad reviews, I've had three bad encounters. One by objective criteria was bad. And if a person asked about this lady, who is in Kingston (and not a CERB member btw, but formally from CL) I would via email/pm tell him. The other two, bad...but there was a element of chemistry/clicking which was lacking. Was that anyone's fault...no. So I'm not doing a bad review on those ladies, it is their livelihood after all, and not all SP's/Gentlemen click. Nobody did anything wrong, just a case of oil and water

Some ramblings

RG

I think you have to keep in mind reviews are at best a subjective account of the" meeting "(for lack of a better term)

I have been told by some sp's they monitor reviews to make sure they are accurate, they dont want to be given credit for more than might be on the menu (or less)

I have also been solicited by sp's both directly and indirectly to post a review

I have also been told by sp's they resent having hobbiests offer a review for extra's time or services

these are a few reasons why in my mind reviews should not be the be all end all in deciding on an sp

that being said a well reviewed sp by many different people is generally a safe bet

I have heard (like everybody) of sps offering specials to those who give recos.

Unfortunetly, there is no real way to know if they are real or not out of checking the dates and by who they are made...

Well established SP's, ones that have been around for a few years don't get a lot of reviews. Not because there services aren't so good anymore, but because everyone thinks, been reviewed so many times, everyone knows there good, I don't have anything to add. Those SP's get shorted on reviews, but would probably never ask. I don't see harm in asking for one, so long as nothing extra is offered up or demanded.

Just a thought, instead of waiting to see a current recommendation before seeing a lady, see a lady, and write a recommendation

I personally don't like the phrase TOFTT...really you are seeing a lady for yourself not some imagined team. But if you see a lady you like, write a recommendation...irrespective of whether one has been written on her before.

A quick thought

TOFTT I don't mind that phrase at all, in fact I have done it number of times and it has worked out rather well, I have shared my times with rec's. But you are correct RG I did it for myself, and BY myself with no team effort ...lol..but also have done some MMFF and those were a team effort :)

Well I never said the phrase TOFTT is offensive, it's just an encounter, for me, I do, for me. The last people I'm thinking about when I see a lady are the guys on "the team"

I will recommend, if the lady allows reco's and I had a good encounter.

But lack of reco's doesn't affect whether I'll see a lady or not

Just as a general observation, and of course speaking for myself - I can't see that back-reading "disrespect" into anyone's use of common words or acronyms is either constructive, or necessarily true. At the very least, context and benefit-of-the-doubt have to be taken into account. My feeling is that true respect requires some degree of tolerance.

Again, just a general thought, in the wider context of the board and life.

Thanks WIT. I was very careful not to identify any particular incident...just refelcting on an expression I find disrespectful. I am not attributing lack of respect to those who use it; I am just reflecting on the term itself.
