Another Song Thread!

Garfunkel and Oates seem like they would be an odd couple.

I'm now thinking of two good "couples" after that last couple

Simon and Garfunkel-Mrs Robinson

Hall and Oates-Private Eyes

I believe that might just be the point of their name ;)

Private Eyes reminds me of one of my favourite movies, The Big Lebowski where the main character (the Dude) is a private detective of sorts. It has a fantastic soundtrack, highlighted by the Dude's CCR cassette.

Oh point wasn't missed, just thought I'd use it as a segue to post two songs

And when CCR was Looking Out My Back Door what did they see?

Oh that gave me a flashback

The Sound of Music-Julie Andrews

http://www.videolog.tv/video.php?id=484048

and to get this on track

heres the theme from James Bond From Russia With Love

what does that have to do with Julie Andrews singing the Sound of Music

well this scene where he is running from the helicopter is sorta the macho way of running through the mountains...not the Julie Andrews way, but the James Bond way

I know, quite a stretch, but you gave me Do Re Me from Sound of Music to work with

Swtiching to a Tom Cruise theme

Here's the scene from Risky Business featuring Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock n' Roll."

And here's Tom in more recent years, in Tropic Thunder, dancing to "Get Back" by Ludacris.

Another song about the daily grind... originally by Joe Jackson, but I like this version:

Anthrax - Got The Time

Edit: I *have* to post this too: bonus Lego stop-motion version. Clearly the most awesome thing you're going to see all day.

Listening to Little Feat reminds me of one of my favourite Bands from then and through to now, The Band, and hopefully one day I will get to milk that cow.

We Can Talk

Milk that cow...that's done on farms right. And tractors are on farms right

Just never thought of them this way, according to this song by Kenny Chesney "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy"
