Here's a thought... On CERB when it comes to general discussion topics why is there not a general discussion area for individual cities or provinces? Perhaps the MOD(s) can lend us their opinion? I would like to see a General Discussions category for Manitoba so that we can converse regionally about a variety of topics that are important to us here in Manitoba. What's everyone's thoughts about this?

I'd say that the current forum is the right place for any discussion topic specifically about Manitoba. I think the word "General" in "General Discussion Area" is a reference to geography, not subject matter- the "General" discussion forum is a reference to discussion topics that are of interest to everyone across Canada, rather than a reference to the type of topic that's open for discussion. That's how I've always thought of it, anyway.

I am with you on this one whiterabbit.

I have posted often in the section coutesan/escort discussion in Manitoba: and not felt that the subject really didn't fit the section, but I really didn't want to post in the General discussion area. I don't intend to lock anyone out, just involve the people that are most likely contribute to the discussion and who are most likely to have a proper prespective.

I agree with Chavez, it would be nice to have a section to post and chat about topics that are relevant locally and not necessarily appropriate for the general discussion area. There are many subjects that are not SP specific but relate to this topic and it would be nice to have an area that is regionally specific.

 

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I disagree. General discussion Manitoba would refer to topics that might be of primary interest to manitobans but wouldn't exclude parties from other parts of the country in taking part. I'd wager a bet that most people who review the Manitoba content DON'T read or contribute to posts elsewhere. Im sure this is true of all provinces. A members area for regionally specific hobbyists and SP's would foster a better sense of community within those specific geographical regions. It wouldn't exclude members from elsewhere is taking part in conversation but it would also foster conversation that relevant to the activities of members within this community in Manitoba.

I don't see any harm, overall, to the board if this suggestion were implemented. I would still view the threads posted in the 'General Discussion Area - all of Canada'. I'm sure that there is enough region-specific topic content to justify adding a 'General Discussion - Manitoba' area.

 

What do others think about this??

WR, I don't see that there's any disagreement between us. As far as I have been able to understand you, I think that what you're describing is already available in this existing forum - the one in which we are currently conducting the present discussion.

 

Since I'm from Nova Scotia, I'll use the example of the Nova Scotia discussion forum, where such topics as the Nova Scotia economy, restaurants, local real estate, events and festivals, general entertainment, etc etc have been and continue to be discussed alongside the threads that are more focused towards Nova Scotian escorting topics.

 

That's the sort of Manitoban topics that I though you might be wanting to discuss here. But you haven't said exactly what it is you feel can't be discussed in the current forum, so it may be I'm assuming the wrong thing and have missed your point.

If I go to the WIKI page addressing the subject of let's say, dung Beatles, and and manually decide to add a paragraph at the end of the topic discussing my personal favorite Beatles songs requesting people also contribute their own opinions as to what the best album the Beatles recorded was, my remarks and comments would be removed from said described WIKI post recognized as being irrelevant to the topic being discussed on the site. Its not that I don't think we can't discuss restaurants in Winnipeg under escorts/courtesans BUT it would be my preference to discuss eating pussy, not sushi, in that thread. As this site continues to grow I think it's important to find new ways to deal with and catogorize the kind of conversations that are relevant to the members of this community. And to me that would include having regional threads that allow us to categorize communication that isn't directly related to having sex with SP's.

Well I would think the more areas would create a lot more work for Mod. Checking to make sure post are ok in more areas. Also the work to setup up the areas. We must remember this is a FREE site.There would be cost involved also that would be my guess

Yes She Devil The Winnipeg forum is extremly slow. Slower than you and I and Mr. Green knows that it could be , considering the number of Manitoba members.

This is like the problem of an underachieveing student.

The way things are now Cerb is not properly peeking the full interrests of its Members in Manitiba. A poor instructor would blame the student and great instructor would look to change things that would involve that student.

I think Whiterabbit's idea is an excellent start. Once we get constructive input from more members who knows where we can go.

When you have a sick patient, we never say , let them drivel. You listen and you try things.

If we can't see that things are ailing on the Manitoba side ; then we are acting like the ostrich and hiding our heads in the sand.

The very least we could do is change the heading of this section to

Courtesans/Escorts/&General discussion for Manitoba

 

Can we try that and see what happens?

I think everyone is kind of right here but I'm interested in seeing this board grow and in order for that to happen it would be nice to categorize the topics a little. Anyway I'm sure nothing will happen fast but at least we are talking about it.

I am in favor of this new category as I think it would be helpful to really get to know what one another is about and other things peak our minds, isn't that essential in growing a community?

Personally, I've never viewed this as a community. This board is a tool like any other board is for the tool kit with the goal to try to ensure one has as an enjoyable experience as possible. Isn't that the whole point? Do we have something in common? Sure we do. A place for buyers of and sellers of services to meet and learn about each other. Other than that???

There is community on this board. Can you actually watch what is going on here and not see community it Ottawa.Not everyone there has to be in the community but there is enough that participate that it is a very active community.

Is it not possible to do something similar here ?

Is cerb our best vehicle to do this again?

Give a decent oppertunity and a few like minded people, I believe so.

I agree there is a community here as small as it may be, but over time it will grow, I am sure Ottawa's started out slow and then took off to be what it is today, and it is everyone's right to participate or not, this site will be what you make of it.

As promised here is that rememberance from my early years. I offer it for your entertainment, not to be malicious, but as an explanation of why we have memories that stay.........

 

As they say ' I am getting long in the tooth now' I have many memories stored up in the cranium. Lots of them are good memories that I enjoy recalling but many of them are just memories that seem to have no apparent reason for being there. I hardly ever recall them but once in a while one will push its way to the top; usually for no real reason, but there they are, like a middle child tugging on my pant leg not wanting to be totally forgotten.

Well I had one of those memories the other day. Something in this thread bumped it to the surface.

There was a time, back before I attended first grade. I was 4 or 5 years old. There must have been some mother gathering. Serveral of us were left in the sand box to play. These were back in the days when mothers were not considered negligent if their children were left to entertain themselves for an hour or so. Any mother certainly would come to the rescue when a child got sand in their eye, which happened as often as not, but it was generally considered a safe place to leave your children to play with each other.

I remember were 2 girls and 3 boys includeing myself. The girls were building sand castles, each in their own corner of the sand box. I was definitly was not on par with them in the creative sence, so while they built their castles, I constructed elevated roadways, as did one of the other guys in the box. The third guy was a bit of a malcontent. " what can I do" "there is no room for me" " I don't want to do this".

We ignored him as well kids can do, hopeing or thinking that he would eventually join in; maybe dig a well or build a cave, jeez there are a hundred things to do in a sand box.

I remember looking admireingly at what the girls were doing, maybe a little envious but knew I wasn't that talented.Still I wanted to contribute, so I commenced building an elevated road from one castle to the next, supposedly for the imaginary princess to travel and visit each other. I mean what else do you do for a princess.

While I scooped sand out of one portion of the sandbox between the castles to build my road I was forming a depression in the sand midway between the castles.

Melvin Miscontent stopped whining for a moment, looked at the depression in the sand and said " what's that"

I had never really thought of the hole being anything, my mind was on the road. I looked at it for a moment then said " Its a lake". That was kind on an inspiration I thought, sort of idealic . Lake between 2 castles, maybe actually more impresive than the roadways I was building. Even better, the whining was over. I thought for a moment that Melvin was going to join in; he was showing interrest.

Well he did. He pulled down his pants and pissed in the lake.

It may have been his contribution but it put an end to the fun in the sandbox. The girls were totally put off and left immediately.I remember scooping some sand over the foam left in the bottom of my lake but the fun was over for me too.

To this day I realize that there are people that want(maybe need) to piss all over someone elses fun; I don't understand it but I accept it.

 

And now I know why that memory stayed with me.

I don't have any recommendations to make as I am not a very prolific hobbist.I've only seen 3 beautiful ladies,(blush)...

2 of them are members on CERB( I think),but I never discussed/asked for there permission to review and I think that should be first.plus i'm kinda old fashioned and would have to break my unwillingness to kiss and tell...:)

 

One other thing:I don't pee in sandbox's....ever..
