This place used to have 'New Management' at least once a year. The big difference now is that there are new owners. One of these owners has posted on cerb looking for feedback to choose a new name and any ideas as to what people want to see. This would not have happened before.

The answer is that each kind of activity is what you can make out of it. There is more service available at each of these activities than you assume.

 

Perhaps that's what I don't really understand. I haven't been to the CR often enough to know how one's mileage might vary.

I see your point about the variety but I guess that's where math kicks in for me. Two or three dances with three or four girls equals six to twelve dances at $20 a pop (I think?) is starting to get up into the range of what you pay for an hour of full service.

I have always been uncomfortable with the ban on negative posts but there is lots of negativity

already in this thread. There are two clear cut cases of comments being taken out of context and

used to attack. It reminds me of the Conser... nevermind.

 

My first strip club experience was at Pandora's Box which should give an idea of my age.

 

I believe the strip club industry is in deline for the reasons stated by others. I have been to a strip club twice so far this year whereas I used to go several times a week. The fact is an MP or SP

gives more mileage for fewer bucks. There are only two benefits to strip clubs now: Window shopping, where you can view and speak with the girls before commiting; and when you want to

put limits on yourself either to avoid the temptation of going too far or to avoid the social stigma of

being a john.

 

Stage shows at strip clubs are a farce now, with only a couple of very rare exceptions. The girls

aren't paid for their stage shows show they resent having to do them. They are only interested in

hustling for CR dances because it is the only way they make money. I'm not blaming them, it's

just reality.

 

Circling back to the original subject of this thread, I don't know if there is a market for a more burlesque type of club but I wish the new owners luck.

 

Where I hope things go for strip clubs in general is where the strip club atmosphere is used as a

meet and greet where other opportunities may be discussed. This is great for custimers but also

for the girls. If a guy gives a bad vibe the girls can avoid them and not feel pressured to go with

someone who makes them uncomfortable.

 

Some girls already do this but it's awkward for the girls who only want to dance to be propositioned

for more. Hopefully if the SCoC strikes down the bawdy house law this can become a more

legitimate practice.

 

Best of luck to the new owners of the Cabaret/Diamonds/<insert new name here>. However,

in addition to the strip club trend they face an uphill battle due to the history of the venue and

its location.

In my case, I usually see only 2 or 3 different girls. That may take you to slightly above $100 or so. You can't get even a half-hour with an SP for that price, here you can get maybe upto 3 girls.

 

Other folks can spend a whole night with a single girl, which I don't understand why you'd do that. That can get as expensive as an SP. I consider a stripclub like a buffet restaurant: you should try a little bit of everything you see there. But then again, that's their prerogative.

I guess I don't understand strip clubs myself. Even before I discovered escorts I didn't really see the point. Now keep in mind, you can probably count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've been so maybe I just haven't figured it out yet.

 

It seems VERY expensive to go to the CR for what you get in my opinion. I guess if you're trying to not cross some imaginary line between cheating and not cheating it makes sense but it seems a high price to pay just to give yourself a case of the blue balls. There also seems to be a pretty serious YMMV factor at work too. I see a ton of posts talking about 'mileage' which implies that you never know what you're going to get in the CR.

 

Perhaps some of you strip club experts can enlighten me as to why I would spend my money there instead of with an SP or MA?

 

It is picking up in flesh which can be a real turn on. I don't mean taking anyone home as in public place which SCs are that would be illegal but to choose the best ones you like the most (out of 20 to 30 girls) and going with them to the CR and she gets all nude and you touch and hug and kiss your most favorites.... is really a delight which only happens in heaven. Not to mention the conversation and flirting before the CR.

 

I made so many friends in the 10+ years I was going to SCs. Much more opportunities to make meaningful friendships with dancers as per frequency you see them (every week) and the time you sit together and converse by just hosting a drink.

 

Not to mention that an SC is THE ONLY PLACE ON EARTH where the lady will come to you and try to pick you up. The roles are reversed lol. Especially suitable for shy gents.

 

The fact that it is legal, safe (no sex or nothing bare) and moral (no sex just exchange of affection and kisses).

 

And another reason as mentioned the variety. You can be with 6 different girls (assuming you keep each for average 2 songs) for the price of an escort. I love variety.

I use to drop in the Caberat, years back it was enjoyable just like dropping in at the Cross Roads at Drummonds in Manotick.

 

I think every SC is always on the way home ;) I'm glad to see that this place is back up and running, and now seeing some traction in this thread, which IS excellent advertisement for them.

 

So lets keep the chatter going, but being respectful as other clubs in Ottawa area have had their share of crime outside their facilities. SO drop in and have a pint! I think I will do that real soon :)

Well in the old days I did have some fun there. There was this dancer "Bobby Joe" about ten years ago at least. She moved on to that former SC in Carlsbad Springs and some time at the Dollar too.

Then the last time I regularly frequented that place it must have been three years ago a skinny hottie by the name of Nicky. She moved on to the Dollar too.

 

Neither have been seen although I have curtained the SC scene pretty much.
