Participaction fella's!

Recommended Posts

In light of the most recent discussion here, I thought I would post this thread about participation and the value it holds as a hobbyist and us SP"S.

When I get an inquiry, the first thing I do is got to your profile page. I look at your sign on date, then look at how many posts you have. " Why" you ask?

If you have created your profile 2 yrs ago, and I see no post being made, and no one seems to know you, then I may not take your inquiry seriously, or will accept another hobbyist instead. This is because, some ppl will simply get kicks out of asking a ton of questions about my service, activities involved. Strange I know....but it happens alot!

There are some who end up no-show or cancel because they get " cold feet" and are too shy.But perhaps if they were to post more often they would not be so shy. As this becomes a way to open up. when you get 2 in one day like this, and you have hotel fee's or plane flights to pay...just simply wont hold my breath or turn away a seasoned member.

Also, just as you seek out the best SP for yourself, I also am looking for the best clients to be with. You are able to read my posts, read what other's have to say, pictures, at times some of my most intimate feeling are even posted here for all to read. This gives you insight into the kind of women I am. As an SP, and an elite one at that, I would like to read about you too! I would like to see how treat ppl, what your moto in life is, what makes you smile, cry and all that makes you ...you

I see participation all over the board, but none here in NB. WE need hobbyist to contribute here! With no one posting, no one is getting reputation's built, and SP have no way of knowing if you are a sincere client, or someone who just think the site is for kicks and giggles and a way to see sexy pic's.

When I do ask a hobbyist from here..." why have you been a members here for 3 years, but no post, no rec's?" They usually say..." well I dont really care about that stuff" I ask..." do you only use cerb?" usually the answer is yes....so now I ask and suggest..." Well does it not make since to contribute, to keep the board active and alive?" They usually shrug at the shoulders and dont answer. If SP's dont see action here why would they want to come here?

So this is funny, I am posting about the lack of particpation....let's see if anyone wishes to participate? or will it be a dead post? lmao....

I'll jump in here - in my case I have been a member for a while but unsure of when I wanted to begin taking advantage of the opportunities offered here on the board. I am one of those "longer term member with little posts who asks lots of questions" - but I'm working on revising that to meeting with a couple of you lovely ladies, seeing how it works and participating more.

Of course, I still have questions, but as was pointed out to me, why not make the date, actually show up and ask them in person :) :)

But of course sophia ou knew i was going to reply to this :)

I didn't realize there was very little participation by the hobbyist in NB. I guess I really don't notice where hobbyists are located, though I do notice where sp's are located! Speaking to the issue you raise though Sophia, I value my reputation here as evidenced by my friendships, and I don't feel the need to make many posts.

There is, however, one issue that I'd be interested to discuss: the plight of the hobbyist who doesn't own a cell phone! It seems it's expected that everyone does. Anyway, as they used to say in Dead Dog Cafe..."Stay Calm, Be Brave, and Wait for the Signs".

YES!! Thanks doll, happy to hear from you:) It is a good way to break the ice and get over shyness issues too! It can be a very fun and fulfilling to contribute and be involved outside of just the bedroom:) heheheh. Keep on posting!

For Antoine....You say your reputation is found in your friendships, which i think is wonderful!! But unless we are friends I would not know this. Perhaps causing us to miss a great opportunity to become good friends as I will choose a known member, who contributes and thus allowing me more insight into that person. Will we get along, do we have common interest? I will first book appt with a known contributer over someone whom I know nothing about. I dont turn away new hobbyiest, it just may take awhile before I get to see you.

Also for new hobbyist, it is helpful to read these posts, as there is much to be learned in the way of booking procedures, abbreviations, perspective of the trade, etc...So this in turn may help you to learn a bit before you contact your chosen SP.

I might as well put my 2 cents as well. I am also a longtime member as well. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the ladies from Cerb.

The ladies I have meet from are indeed amazing and I hope to continue seeing them. My issue is I meet a lady who is not a Cerb member and it was bad expeerience I ended up in the hospital, it took a long time to trust people again.

No excuses from me, but I worry about this happening again

I havent seen a lot of ladies but I had two really bad experiences and I have missed out because if it.

There are so many i want to see.. be patient with me

Maybe ill need someone to show me the way..

Ohhh babes, so terribly sorry to hear this:(

I have seen you have been posting, which is a great start!! I think this site has the best to offer, and a safe avenue to use. Of course, we always need to exercise common sense and caution, which is all the more reason to post and read posts. It helps to develop trust and respect for one another.

I am sure any of these fine ladies here will help you overcome from that scenario. I am sure you will always have a lingering feeling until you really get to know an SP. But I whole-heartedly believe you will meet amazing women and will experience what the finest have to offer you!

Shayman - sounds like you had what we all want to avoid!

I would offer to help show you the way, but being a rookie I don't think i could help. Plus, I'm unsure if any of the ladies around here would be interested in a MMF group :)

I would suggest getting a pay as you go cell phone and top up credits using a 100.00 card. Good for 1 year... comes with txt and other features. Just turn it on when you want to play.

Sophia, I don't think you are alone in NB with this situation. I can sympathise with your lament, and you've made a valiant attempt at stirring up some interaction. ;) Let's hear it for more member participation ... at least where more is needed!

I think once one becomes a member of this board (as opposed to a visiting guest), there are both benefits and responsibilities of being a part of the community. Now, I'm not arguing that it's not every person's personal choice to choose how much of themselves and their lives they wish to share publicly (and with Vic ;)), but it's truly those members who share their stories, ask interesting questions, post recos, or just have fun in one of those silly song threads (there are so many options!), that make the board fun to return to again and again. Share just a tiny slice of your day, make someone smile, it will make you feel good and you may even win new friends. :) Doing so won't make Vic know where you live...well, actually, maybe. #tongueseriouslyincheek

I am in full agreement with Sophia on this posting.

We, as sp's, get asked all the time if we have recommendations. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't.

If a gentleman has a good experience with an sp, it is worth our weight in gold to have that recommendation.

I have had a few gentlemen turn me down after pm'ing me for days with lots of information back and forth, all due to the fact that ' he couldn't find any reco's for me'.

Unfortunate? Yes, can I live with it? Well, I would rather have a satisfied gentleman sing my praises, of course.

While some gentlemen prefer to remain anonymous on this site, and I certainly don't blame them for that, even a few words, or a nice comment in the reco section about an encounter with us, is extremely valued by us sp's.

I also, check out as much information about the prospective gentleman, from the moment that I receive a message that they would like to be with me.

I check out their profile, their posts, pictures if they have any, and with whom they are friends.

Most gentlemen do not post a lot of information about themselves, from where they are located, age, stats, anything. I have no idea with whom I am dealing until I can ask for the information.

The gentlemen that I have be fortunate enough to meet through cerb, have been wonderful, for the most part.

Like any site, there are those that do 'troll' the system, and are basically 'getting off', for lack of better way to put it, to our information and pictures.

This is a site where you can have an encounter with a lady, not a site where we spend our entire day having cybersex with you. I will not conform to 'sexting' on my phone with anyone, but I will take the time to let you know what you want to know about me.

Our reputations only go so far, unless we have recommendations.

I for one, seldom will see someone that has no reputation, without a recommendation from another sp that has actually seen them.

So I will ask that participation is sought in reco's, after all, wouldn't you want to know that you are coming to see who you think you are, rather than taking a chance on a preverbial 'blind date'?

I value if I receive a recommendation, and with thank the person posting it.

We're one big family :bigclap:

LOL Hey Sophia hope you do remember me ;)

I dont have the hobby budget I once had and I find p

my posting is directly proportional to my budget / hobbying ...

I do have one bit of advice for the new comers here .... Read the Rules ... All the rules! and review them ....

My first post here very first one brought me an infraction from MOD and we have had a couple of "disscussions" since ....

Its a unique site and I would not want to go back to the days of news paper adds and Yellow Pages !!!

Happy hunting everyone

I am a long time member of this site as well as others and don't tend to post a lot on any of them. I don't believe you have to be online posting to gain a good reputation or respect within the hobbying community. I have some great relations with some wonderful SP's here on CERB as well as other cities, mainly Montreal. Some people don't like to post a lot and give too much info on themselves here or other sites and some don't have the time alone to post a lot. It takes a fair amount of private time just to view these sites let alone post on a regular basis.

For those just starting out and are uneasy or unable to post a lot, just contact a lady on here you wish to see either through pm or email. In your message be polite, kind and an overall gentleman. Give some info on yourself, you don't have to give your life history but some info would help. Let the lady know what you are looking for in terms of when where and how long but don't be graphic or vulgar. And most important, show up for your date. Once you have seen one lady and had a good time, you now have a reference you can give to the next one you want to see and believe me the ladies talk and don't mind giving references of men to each other.

Treat people the way you want to be treated and you will have no problems having fun in this hobby.

Just my two cents.

I do pretty much the same things Sophia when I am looking at new members that are SP's. I have taken one for the team a few times and for the most part have been incredibly happy. When a new SP here shows up I notice a lot of their recommendations are from new people with very little posts. I am always a little weary to visit someone until I see recommendations from people who have participated on this site a little more.

Well, I'd like to post my thoughts. Number one reason why I don't post reviews because this isn't a review board. I'm not a classy generous "Ottawa gentleman" who posts glowing recommendations and hides all the details, I'm a blue collar reviewer who TOFTT and goes by rating L/A/S/$ with pros, cons, and details. If you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, check out Pacific/Toronto/Montreal escort review boards. This is strictly not allowed because this is a recommendation board.

Unfortunately I can't save fellow hobbyists from wasting their hard-earned money because "If you do not have anything nice to say... Please don't say anything at all" I've already wasted enough money on the local agencies here and being small town Canada, well you can't say much before creating a shitstorm.

The hobbyist population is just too small in New Brunswick. There are only so many travelling businessmen, executives, firemen, and business/property owners in each of the major three cities who can fill bookings. I'm sure there are hobbyists in different walks of life, but after living here for 5 years, there's just no way the hobbyist population is going to change.

I am not only saying we need only rec's as contribution's, but in general. In discussions like this, or starting a thread of your own for us to comment on.

In this participation we can learn more about the industry, protocol on making a booking, and just to have the chance to share with other's. I find it helpful and therapeutic to me, when I feel a bit confused, or sad, or want to share a special event in my life, there are threads to do this, Each post I make gives you a glimpse into who I am as a person and a provider. Thus making it easier for you hobbyist to know whether I am your type of girl.

And as stated by one, he always backed out due to his shyness, but yet perhaps the shyness could be remedied by participation more in discussions.

I am not convinced the population is too small, as everyday I find a new member, ( well not new, but never posted so I did not reconize them) And it is to these gentlemen that I am trying to reach through this thread.

If you feel you have wasted money in the past, then too bad for them not have you back. I wonder if you took the time to read posts, look into rep?

Gosh I may be a testament to Sophie's post in that it was posted back in February and I just discovered it today. Good thread Sophie. I do not consider myself a frequent poster (medium at best with about 70 in a year and a half). I tend to pay attention to the "General Discussion all of Canada" area and have not taken much notice of the NB discussion area. My bad perhaps!

I agree with all the comments that say we are a small market. As well, we are probably an eclectic group of hobbyists, with a variety of personalities and desires. There is not much we can do about that, and do not see much point in beating ourselves up about it.

What we can do is make it as attractive as possible for the ladies who want to work here, whether they be travelling or local. We can only do that by being the best clients we can possibly be and CERB is invaluable in showing us the way. That does not mean willfully accepting sub-par service. Perhaps it is a "chicken" or "egg" kind of question. Which comes first, quality providers or a quality clientele? The laws of supply and demand would suggest quality providers will find their way to a quality market. In a small market it has to be the quality clientele that comes first.

I do not know if that helps, hinders, or ads anything at all to the discussion. I feel very fortunate because, small market or not, I have met, and continue to meet wonderful ladies.

I too usually will be found in general discussions, however the importance of supporting our community is important as well.

For the purpose of sharing, experiencing and for the general spirit of community. Our Community here is somewhat elite and specialized, so let's get to know each other and feel comfortable in doing so!

Participaction is good, for both the fella's and the ladies too

I know a lot of what makes me want to see a particular lady is through her posts...gives me an idea of her personality, and whether we'd click

More to the point, thus far, the only bad encounters I've had are with ladies who aren't on CERB, when I stayed with CERB, all encounters have been great. And that is due in part, imho, that I take the time to read the ladies' posts, and get a feel of whether we'd connect or not

This is excatly what I am talking about hun:) I am more likely to book someone whom I feel a connection with VIA posts, PM's etc....rather than a member who I know nothing about in terms of values and ethics. It gives me a wider scope into their personality. I feel safer too, as I can read up on them. So if I am faced with an either/ or situation when booking, I will opt for the member who is more active, or has spent time chatting with me in PM or chat room. Than the member who has never tried to chat with me or 0 posts, 0 reco's, 0 friend list.....it just gives me the impression that they are not seasoned and the appt will feel unatural to me.

Of course I do invite new member's as well, or inactive, but make an effort to get to know me a bit is always nice:)

I realize that reviews and recommendations are different in both form and purpose. Having said that, though, the "don't post anything negative rule" here tends to work. It seems to me it works because this is a community with active participation. I look not just at recos, but at the number of recos and the consistency over time. Then I look at the lady's posts and albums to see if she seems like someone I'd be interested in meeting. All in all it works fairly well.

I'd echo roamingguy's comment, I have yet to have a bad experience with any lady recommended on this board. With respect to other boards it often seems that there are far more over the top fabulous reviews, which I didn't find justified in the least, and other negative reviews which seemed mean spirited and motivated by spite. Sometimes I left seeing a lady scratching my head trying to square what I'd read with what I'd experienced.

Others may disagree, and that's fine. But the reco system supported by active community participation seems to mean that, as a hobbyist, I have an excellent sense of what a session will be like.
