Interesting Ottawa Story

Recommended Posts

Since I read part 3 a few hours ago, and I've gone to work, and this story has just stuck on my mind.....

And I see Loki has sort of mentioned what was on my mind, except I was thinking of setting up a fund and getting so many SP's on board, if say, 100 people, SP's and hobbyists) donated $250 a month, thats $25,000 for the guy. Whatever, do your own math, it's not important the denominations, but the media spotlight that could benefit the industry..

What a better way to restory his trust, and faith in humanity, by getting money back frmo SP's and hobbyists rallyign to show support. Showing the industry is not a sleasy dark market industry as depicted by many...

Imagien the headlines to thel ikes of Escorts across Canada contribute to help Victim or scam (Scum!)

Something to kick around.... $200-$250 is basically the donation of one single client.... either a hobbyist just saw one less per month, and kicked into the pot, or some kind hearted SP's donated... this could be big....

maye I'm dreaming too big, was just one of those brainstorming ideas... :)

I won't comment on the article but I would like to contribute though. Who is willing to set this in motion?

I'm not so sure a fund will help this guy out. All he needs now is a good kick in the pants and he will recover, he started a successful business making millions and now it?s gone because and I know this will hurt people, he was desperate for love. He was blinded from reality, his disability and lack of affection and of course a beautiful woman all played into this fraud. It happens every day, every month and each year.

If you guys want to save something then lets save innocent animals from the cruelty of humanity. We can either donate to our local humane society's or pull a vigilantly on the abusive owners.

Merry Christmas

I'm not in a capacity to give a full session's worth of cash, but I'm willing to kick in something too if this gets rolling.

I worked in SC's earlier in life, and have seen more than one guy get "taken". I have seen 2 guys take girls to court, and one actually won his case.

I'm curious who she is, because I want to amke sure I never give her a penny of my cash. Pm me if you know her.

Actually, #3 article describes the money that was taken as what his parents left in inheritance. Sounds like this is all he had. He's working for the government so he can't be pulling down big bucks. The guy even says he can't support the debt load.

It's easy to see he was taken because he never had a romantic relationship. Apparently they all ran away because of his disability. He probably had no idea how one worked. It would be like asking a 13-yr old boy to navigate an adult relationship. Easy target. Consider too that she waited to make her move a year-and-a-half after he first met her. He probably thought he had gotten to know her in that time.

I read the actual papers where the photos of her are. She's lovely that's for sure. His photos give you an idea the extent of his disability.

I plan to follow what happens. It says no trial date for criminal case has been set yet but I think you can get that info by asking at the courthouse. After this I think that will be one packed court room!

I can't believe that anyone would suggest setting up a fund to help this guy get his money back. I feel bad for him (or maybe embarrassed for him is a better word) -- it shouldn't have happened. But too, it wouldn't have happened if he'd been thinking rationally.

There are so many people in this world suffering from misfortune through no fault of their own -- the families of victims of drunk drivers to give just one example -- that it seems to me to be obscene to consider setting up a fund for someone who, while he may have lost it all, had a hell of a wild ride in the process.

What this guy probably does need is some guardianship for the future. Victims of fraud come in all walks of life, but he has greater needs than most, and the series in the Citizen suggests that he's more vulnerable than most too. He's obviously not capable of making his own decisions, and so perhaps his family or the courts should look into getting something set up for him.

Ironically, someone approached me about seeing this guy a couple years back. I wasn't keen on the idea -- while it may sound cold, I have found that working with disabled person's is usually a lot more work for the same or less money, it's fraught with risk (even if you are providing exceptional service at a good rate, others might automatically assume you're scamming him), and it's often thankless too. And I was informed that it would have to be done on an outcall basis to his home, which isn't something I do anymore. But nevertheless, I reluctantly agreed, as a favour to a friend. He rejected me! He said I wasn't his type. Now that I see what his "type" is, I couldn't agree more.

I'm just sorry for his mother, who obviously worked hard to provide for him, even after her death. How terrible that he squandered it all away on this foolishness! It would break her heart if she were alive to see it.

As for the SP and her "husband" -- they're scam artists. Terrible, it's true -- but none of us are exempt from them! People like that are out there, and there's never really much the justice system can do for us if we first fail to protect ourselves. If a guy is competent to make the decision to see an escort, then he must also be responsible for conducting himself accordingly -- and take the consequences if he fails to do so.

Fraud can't happen without the victim's help! Pretending this isn't true only serves the fraud artists.

..c..
