I loved CBC radio's As It Happens report that Conrad Black had been offered a seat in the Senate, representing British Columbia. I'm not sure Conrad has ever been here. The local morning show had a report about a new provincial tax on toilet paper, $0.05 per roll, $0.10 for 3-ply, because TP is a pulp product, requires a lot of water and so is an environmental concern.
