Character limit?

Recommended Posts

I just got an error replying to a post in a social group because the message was too long (>1000 characters). I'm sure I've seen longer replies in the forums.

Is it because :

a) There are different rules for the social groups?

b) Because I'm new/moderated?

c) Neither, the 1000 limit always applies?

Thanks,

Felix

The limit across the site is set to 1000

Has that changed of late? I'm sure I've seen (and posted) longer replies in the forums, although I can't speak for the groups.

It is like that for all members, not just you (It happened to me before too when I wanted to make a long post). There are several different settings for the social groups than in the regular forums, and a smaller character count is one of them. You can just break it up into a few posts, no problem. :)
