Bait and switch is such a pain in the arse, and then what gets me is do the ladies pulling this expect people to pay for someone they didn't pick ? and then you have thsi whole awkward moment where ( and hopefully this is an outcall to their residence or hotel ) but the scene it could cause you at your home/ neighborhood... i dunno , just bothers me, thanks for the tips. Tinyeye is very important cause if you find that pic being used as the pic for an add or many adds all over the country/world then chances are you're not getting what is advertised.... tinyeye has saved me many a horrible encounter... good luck to you all out there play safe and thanks again for the creator of this thread, tips like this and a little diligence can greatly minimize your risk !

These are great tips for our feature and present clients. its unfortunate that these incidents occurs it makes it difficult for truthful workers in the adult industry to make their money. Realistically, if you want cheap you'll get exactly what you paid for.

Appât, ou encore "leurre", mais je dirais une "attrape nigaud". Mais Bait and Switch, est utilisé dans toutes les langues et est malheureusement une réalité universelle: se faire attraper et tromper, et se faire avoir, et s'être fait leurré.

This can't be said enough. Park the hormones, and stop and think before spending your hard-earned money. I've used all of the above advice in the past - and even if you don't live in Ottawa, the Cowboy Diary gives some good tips and advice on what to look for.

I believe Malika pointed out in another thread the Quebec French uses the term "bait and switch". I believe the traditional French phrase would be "publicité par appât et substitution."

 

If that's not correct, hey - I'm a flatlander who took high school Spanish!

All great info. Best advice I can add is a cold shower or a warm shower with a little self stress release. It helps prevent you from making those impulsive decisions that you will regret or get you into situations you know better not to do. When the little head takes over, you ignore the warning signs!

Perhaps not directly related to the subject matter, but I remember watching a UK TV series called "The Real Hustle". Worth a watch if you can get hold of it.

Covers a lot of popular scams which are transferrable to this field. At the least, it makes you aware of what should alert you to a potential scam situation.

Plus, it also has some cool card tricks. You can practice those while you're waiting in the car when you turn up to early for an appointment. ;)

At the risk of repeating what has already been said, some of my tips from reviewing ads and visiting ladies:

 

• Use reputable sites
  
• Avoid sites where there are no reviews or recommendations
  
• Verify pictures on Google images or Tiny Eye
  
• Check out websites for specific ladies
  
• Avoid discounts and lowest fares
  
• If it looks too good to be true...it probably is
  
• check with other members about specific girls
  
• Avoid certain locations if they may be unsafe
  
• Avoid outcalls as it is hard to walk away if it is a B&S
  
• Be prepared to walk away if it is an incall and it is a B&S
  
• Look for details such as age, figure and pictures that show the whole body
  
• Verify details accuracy with provider when you speak on the phone
  
• Do speak on the phone as you can perceive a lot from the way the person talks
  
• Find a few excellent providers and become a regular

I have been the victim of bait and switch three times. First was a she comes here. It was 2am and as my dad used to say any port in a storm lol. The second one was a I go there and I left. :) . The third was an I go there and again as dad used to say any port in a storm lol

 

One thing that really bothers me is when I see a ladies pictures, check out her website and I decide to invest my time and dollars into seeing her based on what I see and when I get there yes its the same lady but her pics are not even a close reflection of what she looks like now. I fully understand having pictures that show a person off in the best possible way. For instance if I go to see a spinner to find out she no longer spins that is not nice. I understand why someone would do that. Heck if I was putting a pic up on a dating site I would want to put up my best pictures which are out of date but this is different because I am investing dollars in the companionship of a lady and as such some honesty is appreciated. And being a man of varied tastes there is always a chance I would see her anyway based on current pics because in deciding to see a lady yes the visual is important but there are lots of other factors driving my decision.
