Bad Experiences

Recommended Posts

Is there a place to share the not-so-good experiences? Service providers have a special area to share bad experiences. What about the guys who have bad experiences? It's only fair. It's not like you can call the Better Business Bureau, now.

I have had some good experiences and well, some bad ones too.

Hi Floyd. If you have been bait and switched (Fake Photos) or put into a dangerous position, robbed or scammed like the recent credit card scams on CL we do have places to post that.

clear.gifAtlantic Warnings: To Report Bait and Switch, Scams & Dangerous Encounters (NOT FOR NEGATIVE REV

Report Fake Photos, Scams or Dangerous situations here - DO NOT SLANDER OR POST NEGATIVE REVIEWS AS THAT IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THIS SITE PLEASE

If you just want to complain about a lady or slander her cause you did not enjoy your time with her... that is not permitted on cerb. The rule here is "if you don't have anything nice to say ... say nothing at all" - This makes a more enjoyable site where the ladies are not getting wrongfully slandered. This makes for a better community site where the ladies feel safe and come and contribute on the site and join in our community without feeling threatened by someone trying to slander them.

The sites that exist that allow negative comments are abused BADLY - the ladies are often afraid to post on these sites and join conversations as they just get ponced on an beaten down.

People don't always "click" with each other ... some people are just impossible to please... some people show up drunk... some show up smelling bad, bad hygiene or have bad breath and get mad cause the lady will not kiss them or give them a Bj. These same people turn around and complain about the ladies (giving you all false info and making the lady loose money)... if she tries to defend herself on these sites that allow this she is usually met with a swarm of assholes all trying to get in on the mob. It becomes very hostile.

How do you know what you are reading is true? You don't! Even with the recommendation you need to be careful!

Cerb works the other way... based on recommendations. These can be faked but it's not easy to fake a good recommendation and it's very hard to fake one from a credible source.

When someone with 100+ posts and a well know reputation on cerb posts a recommendation for a lady ... it's a pretty good indication that it's legit. Also it is a lot harder for your competition to slander you when it's not allowed in the first place.... and that drunk smelly guy who was pissed off cause she refused to service him... well he can't log into cerb and try to slander her for it as she was in the right but has no protection on other boards from a guy like that.

The ladies work hard to build up reputations (they should earn the reputation over time) and it is very one sided if you let the guys (or the ladies competition pretending to be guys) slander her.

Some people just like to "stir the pot" and cause problems... it's not something they can do here on cerb so they loose interest in the site (Better for all of us).

The ladies private section

It is here to help protect them from dangerous people / situations and time wasters.

Some people get abusive, show up drunk and angered, make appointments and never show up, rip the ladies off, steal from the ladies and much worse!

The private area is not to say "I didn't enjoy my time with so and so..." that never happens... it is strictly to post warnings to other ladies for safety reasons (and time wasters).

Just so you know a time waster is a person who books the lady and doesn't show up or at least call to cancel the appointment. (Does not respect the ladies time). This is a big problem for the ladies so we allow that to be reported in the ladies area. I know this happens with the guys as well at times but it falls under that category where if we allowed it than it would be abused so we let the ladies report this as they are all VERIFIED before gaining access to the SP ONLY area and I am afraid we do not allow the guys to do this on the public side of the site.

I would offer to have a private MENS ONLY area for this type of thing but I do not have the time to verify memberships so at this time we can not offer such a service to the men. The best thing you can do is (1) not recommend someone that does not deserve it and (2) if someone posts asking about a lady and you have some info you wish to share... just PM them and explain to them why you do not recommend that lady.

This solution would likely take a bit of custom programming, but here goes:

- create an invisible (to others) section in our profiles, where we can list the sps (with some extra info to ensure we don't get duplicate names mixed up) we've had experience with.

- have a master compiled list for each region (viewable by members), that doesn't show any info about which users have listed which sps.

- if a user wants to get others' insights into a particular sp, provide a way for them to post a request. In each applicable user's profile, a *star would appear by the sp's name to show that someone had requested info. Clicking on the sp's name would bring up a screen showing who made the requests, and when.

If a user wanted to PM the requesting user, they could if they wanted. Otherwise, the whole system would be unabtrusive, and would provide a way to get info without setting up a separate men's area.

A private mens only section would be incredible!!!

What would this section be used for?

How do we make sure it is not abused?

How do we verify each member for access?

How do we make sure that the people who have access to it don't stop posting on the public area as well? (Public posts from credible members is what builds the site)

I can't see a private mens area working to be honest. I think it would be used to just slander the ladies and even if it was respected and not abused the ladies would assume it was being used for slander and smack talk. I can't see a community site working with this type of area.

The ladies need this area to help protect each other from bad people and it does help them out (every little bit helps). Sites exist like spoc.ca that post a lot of the bad people in public, this is a great service but it also puts a little more risk on the ladies as the guy who is posted could put 2 and 2 together and know who reported him... and that in the past has lead to violence and threats (and things spiraling out of control) - not everyone in this world is of sound mind!

We think it's much safer for the ladies to have a more private area for this type of thing but we can't justify a members only area for guys. Maybe some feedback would change our minds on this but we would need to know from the men who would like this what they would expect from it and how they would use it.

Cowboys Diary in Ottawa for example is a valuable service for everyone in the Ottawa area and we support him and his efforts. (http://cowboysdiary.info). Maybe someone out here in the east coast area would be willing to start a similar blog. If you are not slandering anyone, posting hate messages and you show integrity we would support you here like we do with CK and his blog in Ottawa.

This solution would likely take a bit of custom programming, but here goes:

.. a bit of custom programming? Whew.. I would say a great deal of it and how do you un-complicate this? We did talk about doing something similar a while back. The idea was to put a new area on the ladies profiles that said "Click here if you have had a good date with this provider" and each time someone new clicked on it this would add a point to her popularity level... but the idea was shot down as when we looked further into it ... it was full of holes where it could be abused and be seen as unfair. Instead we went with the reputation system where everyone could add/remove reputation points and this would build the community as a whole (both ways)

The SP section is there so we can help one another...to keep us safe. We are not on there talking about our clients...not unless you are bad news. This board is a men's section...you want to know about a lady you read or even pm someone that has seen her...or ask her yourself...lol

kisses,

I do web programming (not php or perl tho), so for me a "bit" is.......well:)

Uncomplicate it? First, ignore all I said bout programming!

Maybe just have a subforum where users can ask for PM's from anyone that has had experience with a specified sp (that isn't a a cerb member).

A 'men only' section is impossible. We've got lots of resources and other areas to find 'sketchy' info, putting the same thing here will drive away the sp's.

The SP Only area here you have to be screened in to...there's no way that could be administered for a 'guys only' area, and the girls would either be able to get in easily, or the guys would just be telling/showing the girls what was said anyways.

It will never happen, so no point in trying to figure out how to do it.

This section is the sub-forum for just these type of posts. If there is a post asking about a SP and you've seen them respond. If you recommend the SP, then post it. If you wouldn't recommend the Sp, post that you've seen the SP, and ask others to PM you for details. Cerb is a wonderful resource if the community contributes and uses the helpful information.

Guest s******ecan****

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Before finding CERB I spent a fair amount of time on a certain board based in the Montreal area. The flame wars (between SP's and the guys) got quite nasty by times, other posts revealed that some agencies were in the habit of reducing rates in exchange for a promise of a good review of the lady etc etc. Eventually I realized that a good deal of the info on the board had to be suspect since one could never really know what was going on behind the scenes.

We have a good system here and I think the present format works well for the CERB community as a whole. I'd hate to see the board get cluttered up with a lot of nonesense.

just sayin

Well said Scott...

Prehaps, you may want to browse a little more to see that the whole thing IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR...

CERB may contain fun stuff, chatting, different information on different things, but it is a RECOMMENDATION BOARD...

Now, you may want to learn how to use it by using the search function, or even the members list... You have also the recommendation section for exceptionnal service...

I suggest you go around, and READ THE NEWBIES THREADS...

You can also find older members that will be willing to help you thru the whole thing, and welcome to CERB!

One more thing... The SP area is use only for dangerous situations, NOT THE BAD EXPERIENCES, as you seem to think... We can get banned, as in the regular forums, for using it abusively, or slandering...

but it is a RECOMMENDATION BOARD, built by guys, for guys...

Ouch. that is not true. You have this all wrong...

This site was actually made for the ladies and the community as a whole - not for just the guys!

This site is all about community, sp friendly environment, a place where the ladies can contribute and not worry about some jerk slandering them or a mob of posters jumping all over her and making her feel unappreciated. A free place for them to promote themselves and a place for everyone to enjoy.

I would agree that the review boards are for the guys. The other "escort discussion forums" that allow slander and hate posts are made solely for the guys as well. Many of these other sites force the ladies to pay for ads in order to advertise on the site!

Even though this site is supported by escorts-canada we do not force the ladies to advertise with us in order to use cerb... we even installed a very expensive live chat room (With audio and video) so the ladies could promote themselves on here in real time!

I am shocked to see someone say that this site was built for the guys!

The guys coming to the site is for YOUR benefit and the traffic that leaves this site and visits escorts-canada is for the benefit of the advertisers on escorts-canada (and in turn a benefit to us). More importantly we are doing something positive for the community here!! Something positive for the industry as a whole.

When we developed the site I actually wrote most of the business plan (as it was mostly my brain child) but it was a group effort by all our staff to create this site.

(This is from the original business plan of the site)

...............................

Goals

1) Our main goal is to develop a new type of escort discussion site unlike anything currently running.

This is to prove that a positive discussion site without slander, hate or fighting can become successful and build a positive community for the escort industry in Canada. Our goal would be to make the discussion site a safe and friendly place where the ladies would not feel threatened, become slandered, harassed or be afraid to contribute in the discussions with the men and other ladies.

The feedback we receive from many of the ladies indicates that they are often afraid to post on public discussion boards in fear that the competition, a bad volunteer moderator or a bad date would slander them and damage the ladies reputation.

Our goal would be to build a discussion site where the ladies would not feel threatened to respond and contribute. A environment where a positive community can be established the benefits everyone involved (the ladies, the men and us by bringing new advertisers and new traffic to our escort directories).

Over time we feel the guys will appreciate this environment more as well but we expect a great deal of resistance from the male community at first and will be a uphill battle to win over the men with this new format of discussion site.

2) A place where the ladies could promote themselves for free (this would bring some of the unreachable ladies to the site that would not normally advertise with escorts-canada - The legitimate ladies who do not wish to purchase paid ad space or are just starting out and can not afford to pay for advertising. This would give them an alternative to supporting new escort directories who offer free trial ads and would draw traffic to our network instead of supporting these "new" sites.

From our research we find that some of the ladies would rather post daily ads for the days they are available to work as opposed to monthly subscriptions. This reason may still be an excuse to save money by avoiding purchasing ads but we are missing out on those ads for our visitors. By offering a free place for these ladies to post daily ads we will regain some of that lost traffic.

Posting daily ads requires a lot of "extra leg work" for the lady (or agency) but some do prefer this and it would give those advertisers a alternative to using sites like ******** and *******)

3) Create a community based site where the men and the ladies could openly discuss the industry in a positive way, in public view to show the world that the stereotypes of this industry are wrong. This would be a open public forum to show the people outside of this industry as well that the media is only portraying the negative elements of this industry.

4) Launch a bad date section for the ladies that would be readily available to all escorts-canada and localescorts advertisers as well as advertisers who routinely use new discussion site. This would be a PRIVATE area where the ladies could warn one another and help each other out.

5) We would moderate the site in-house to remove unwanted advertisers (spam, bait and switch, trickery posts, dangerous encounters, etc.). We would use paid staff members to moderate the site on a joint moderation account (as opposed to having a volunteer based moderation).

Development Costs

Instead of spending money on advertising with other discussion boards that reinforce the negative stereotypes of the industry we could use the advertising revenue to launch this new discussion site where we can ensure the ladies, industry and our own reputation are upheld. This way would not be seen as a company that "supports" these slanderous sites when trying to acquire escort traffic for our network of escort directories.

...............................

Now as for being made by all guys...

I admit most of us on the development side are guys but not all... Many of you who advertise with escorts-canada or localescorts have spoken with Carolyn at our head office. She has been a HUGE contributor to the development of cerb and helps with the moderation (less these days but in the beginning she was a huge part of cerb and she still does help out a lot). Back in the first year a lady named Heather was also a huge part of the site development as well but she is no longer with our company (but still a very good friend to us all here)

Plus a number of the industry ladies who we have long working relationships with advise us on many things. We often bounce idea's back and forth with these ladies and ask for their advise.

This is now a COMMUNITY site but please do not ever think this is a site BUILT FOR GUYS FOR GUYS as that is not true and I am very upset that one of the ladies would make this statement. I just wanted to set the record straight so that everyone knows exactly what this site was intended for and is all about.

Mod,

All I can do is add my two cents from a hobbiest perspective. Cerb works!!!. There will never be a perfect system in place to catch all the undesirables but compared to similar sites on the web, Cerb seems to have all the bases covered. There will always be an element of common sense to be followed by the men. A good general rule of thumb is " if she appears too good to be true then she probably is". ( verify with the Cowboy).

The ladies only section is also very important. Safety is the most important issue for the both MP/ SP's and those who hobby. It is the base on which Cerb is built.

Now on a different note....Mod, Is Cerb hiring? I can't think of a better place to work. You must be thinking of opening an Ottawa office soon. Where should I send my resume? :-D

That is a little harsh to say. Verify with cowboy for sure if your in Ottawa, (your all lucky to have him!) but don't get soured from a few bad apples. It's rare that we have to remove photos here on cerb that are fake (same with escorts-canada) so just use the right sources.

The World-Wide Web (and the Internet as a whole) is very given to populist collaboration and connection; I think this is by-and-large laudable, but we can certainly see many dark aspects. The online, non-expert review is one of those areas that I feel is highly subject to abuse, whether intentional or not. Skim the user-reviews from an online magazine or newspaper for a restaurant and you will see some thoughtful, reasoned critiques and praises, but often you will find a glut of knee-jerk reviews that were written without the benefit of thought or time. Put these elements into the context of service providers and their clients, and you have a recipe for disaster. It is tempting to view and review our encounters the same way we might review a piece of electronics for Newegg; we have to remember that there are multiple layers of human interaction at work in this hobby that don't lend themselves to simplistic thumbs up/thumbs down reviews, and can lead to serious abuses. Not all hobbyists carefully read the rules/etiquette for service providers, or even consider that there are any at all. I don't believe we can trust the majority of the hobbyist public to thoughtfully consider how their appearance/actions/attitude are implicated in our transactions. In this context, I feel CERB has made a wise decision to exclude all but scam- or saftey-related negative reviews.

Sorry Mod,,,...I should have said" if the situation appears too good to be true". I was referring to the obvious photo rip-offs.

All the ladies on Cerb are beautiful.

Here is a great example of a bad experience without actually naming the party. Amelia wrote something in a another section in the forum here about her discomfort with certain clients during "oral proceedings". I really admire her for putting her issue out like that. It is not the individual rather it is the action. Although common in many aspects of sexual experience, the "roughness" of certain actions does create discomfort for some women. So, because she finds the experience uncomfortable and teeth gritting, she voiced her thoughts and set the rules. This can work both ways. If one of us guys have one or more bad experiences, we should share the experience without placing any name tags on it.

One of my bad experiences was being told by a girl that she was athletic, blonde, and attractive. However, when we met, I was still looking for this other woman. It was very awkward. She was obese, brunette, and smelled funny - like burnt rubber is the only way I can describe it. It is like she just left a tire burning event or something. It was rather horrible. I told her that she wasn't my type and I split. Jeezus, what a sexy little kitten that was.

There does seem to be some misleading during duscussions with some girls. I suspect that they are either trying to pique interest and curiousity so an encounter will occur, or she is totally convinced she is some or all of what she is not.

I ask questions, such as:

Do you smoke?

Do you do drugs or abuse alcohol when dating?

Age?

How tall are you?

HAir color?

Physical condition?

You don't have a penis do you?

... I ask questions. When we meet, and I find out that the answers are lies, then I am outta there (especially if she lies about not having a penis). Don't kid yourself. Anything is possible.
