Ford is a buffoon & is on a short path to self destruction. He needs to step out of his life & get good advice for a change. He's sadly gonna hit a concrete wall before anything good happens.

 

Some councilors are out to make a name for themselves at Ford's expense. Wang reminds me greatly of a former U.S. Senator who used the same tactic - Joe McCarthy ring any bells?

Why haven't we found a nice politician that won't screw us over when we aren't looking.

 

At least with Rob Ford,Toronto knew they were getting a crazy but tried to look the other way because he wasn't costing them money. My only worries is what we don't know about and what favours he has already done for these so called friends of his.

 

Ottawa's politician's are screwing us over left and right, a 750,000 study for this and 80,000 app for construction that doesn't work.

 

I guess we can never have a perfect system.

We have council man Snook in Saint John, who is a pervert, Pedophile and into child Porn and he still has a seat in council yet he's suspended with pay...Clearly this is way worse than a drunk and crack user, however I don't see the media harassing this guy day in and day out.(o wait probably as he is in a jail cell)

I think that toronto, elected a regular guy that had good intentions, and god bless him for sticking to his objectives. Sure he has issues, but he was still doing his job up until the committee voted otherwise. The guy liked to have fun, let loose, and unfortunately caught up with him in the public eye. His responses to some the media questions are awesome. At least he didn't lie about it.

It seems that the people in Toronto making the most noise, either:

 

a) didn't vote for the man, so they already don't like him

or

b) didn't vote at all, which means they should keep their mouths shut because the waived their right to an opinion when they abstained from voting.

 

Rob could turn this into a big success if he were to adopt a Chris Farley (may he rest in peace) type persona and do the talk show circuit and poke fun at himself -- he could get appearances on Letterman, Leno, SNL, and most any other show for the asking -- that will be the only thing anyone remembers of this whole affair and he'd be a shoe next year's election.

 

That would really piss off the press and all the councillors that hated him from day 1!

This guy has put a huge smile on my face for weeks now...I feel bad for his family but hey this is Canada

 

...our Prime minister punched a guy in the face and most Canadians were saying "you go Jean" I personally thought it was kind of awesome. In Canada we like real in our politicians we don't want people who are great at hitting talking points and have no actual substance.

 

We don't care about their personal lives, we don't really want to know about them...if you can do the job we like you, if not good bye.

 

If he did a good job as mayor (wouldn't know I live in Halifax), keep him. His antics unfortunately endanger himself so that's not cool. I find him entertaining because like Kanye you never know what crazy shit will come out of his mouth...but at the same he should probably get some help.
