The Arc - need an answer

Recommended Posts

Bella, I visited a SP at that hotel months ago. It had a nice little bedroom, bathroom and closet. No one bothered me when I walked in and out.

B,

It is a very nice hotel. The rooms are small, but the location is good and the staff are vry helpful, yet also discreet.

is this hotel any good, is it safe for service providers?

I don't know if it's just me but both times I have been there ( once on an incall and most recently on an outcall) someone tried to open the door. The first time when I booked the room, the housekeeper was doing turndown service and she opened the door and saw me doing something.. well shall we say.. sexual.. Anyways, I yelled at her to get out. She seemed rather embarassed and left. The last time on an outcall, a couple tried to open the door. They had the wrong room. Besides that no one has bothered me nor have I felt unsafe there. I believe it is SP friendly. If you do end up going there, lock the door and put the chain on, with the do not disturb sign. Be careful though.. because I did have the sign on the door and she completely disregarded it which is why I was upset. No one is supposed to just go into your room when the sign is on the door.

It's an alright hotel. Rooms are small (boutique type) and modern but the rates are high unless Priceline picks it for you and be prepared to pay a deposit of $300 for room deposit. Parking is a pain in the ass. I don't particuarily like going there...maybe because of all the mishaps and overall price. Something always goes wrong but that's JMO.

I used to take my visitor to Arc hotel last July. It has relatively small dark rooms and in general I was not happy. On one occasion when my visitor was not feeling well, she stay home to rest and I went there myself to Arc hotel to receive a young escort outcall, and in the middle of love making someone knocked on my door, bringing some fruits and a bottle of water as afternoon gratitude!!!. I swiched to another hotels and I am happy that I did.

I found that rooms in Delta are specious and more private and also Crown Plaza rooms have great view and brighter just with this one be careful so that they don't put you in the upper floors which needs a key to use the elevator lol for people who like to visit you. They are both located near Barbs though so you may have a problem with that lol.

The arc is a great boutique hotel, although i will agree it is kind of dark, but that can be helpful if one is looking for discretion.

They are great when it comes to customer service, I'm not sure why any one would be upset by delivery of complimentary water and fruit when your feeling under the weather. It's my opinion that they strive for an excellent level of customer service.

Other great boutique hotels to concider, the Bostonian and Indigo is a cool modern spot with great design and decor.

All of them sp friendly although with limited late night access.

Good points CK The Arc is quite unique and is a trendy type Hotel. I have always enjoyed the Bostonian and Indigo, really cool Hotels.

The downfall on the Arc from a client perspective, is that the parking can be difficult pending time of day.

Customer service today is paramount for guests to always go back.

Parking is not an issue for me - just hitch my horsey up to the nearest post.

You are right though Parking at the Arc is practicaly the same as getting a room!

Another nicely appointed but often over looked option down town is the Albert at Bay apartment style suites, you can often find great deals with them when booking through expedia or priceline. They are also sp friednly to those who practice discretion.

Well I don't know about SP friendly since I never worked at any of these places but having spent a fairly long strecth on a friends futon in the living room in the past the desire for privacy was such that I visited a fair amount of hotels lol.

I really liked the Arc. I never had any problems with anyone knocking or trying to come in when I had the sign on the door. Yes the rooms are kinda dark but I like a moody atmosphere so I rather enjoyed that aspect, besides there are plenty of places to put candles :) Over all though I think there is WAY better value for the money you pay there since I also find the rooms to be pretty small...

As for the Indigo, very cool looking indeed but I would sugest bringing your own pillow if you are spending the night. Like sleeping on a rock! My poor little neck was messed up for nearly a week after and I slept horibly, tossing and turning, trying to get comfy until I finally just threw the pillows across the room in frustration and balled up a part of the blanket lol

I LOVE the Albert at Bay suites!!! One of my very fave hotels in Ottawa, beautiful and large suites, all with balconies (maybe not so important in the winter but as a smoker I like a balcony). I did actually offer massage sessions there before I set up my studio. I brought my table and everything and no one so much as looked at me funny about it. Very good value for the money in my opinion.

Another hotel I like is the Chimo. They have a couple jacuzzi suites and that tub is so oversized I actually had to get in to reach the faucets! lol That is where I hosted my Valentine special last year and although there is keycard access to the floors where those suites are I never had any funny looks when I went to retrieve my visitors. Again I had brought my massage table and never got any funny looks. Also very good value for the money and very easy to access with convenient parking.

Don't know the Bostonian but I love hotels and even now that I have my privacy back I still think it's fun to have a little night out with a sexy change of scenery :) Will have to try it out!

I booked at the Arc once, and housekeeping tried to enter the room to replenish the minibar at 10AM.. Um, hi, checkout is at noon, I don't think I'll be needing to liquor myself up before then.. Quite embarrassing as I was in the middle of something & had to throw a pillow at the door.

I wasn't under the weather, I was over a beautiful lady lol:) when untimely interrupted. When I am in the middle of love making knocking on my door is not very welcomed, especially when I don't know who is knocking on the door (manager, cleaner, other residents complaining of noise may be, cops may be, etc.) and have to stop and dress up (which takes some time while she continued to knock on my door). I would say it is kind of mood breaker at best or rude intrruption at worse lol.

SA you mentioned that your guest was not feeling well and that the hotelprovided fruit and water as an offering, no ?

If I heard the knocking 'd ignore it! I'm not doin anything wrong and if my aldy friend at the time asks "what's that" I'd respond with "the pitter patter of my heart for you babe" :)

Katedot, we maybe on to something here as it appears the staff at The Arc have a habbit of"accidentaly" walking in on people. Lucky for you that you've got a good throwing arm! :)

No, I apologize for confusion. I receive a visitor every summer (a family member visiting me). I take my visitor to a hotel every Saturday afternoon so that I can have the apartment to myself for outcall (as you likely know I am an outcall only guy). On that Saturday, my family visitor did not feel well. So, instead of taking her to Arc hotel, I let her rest at home and I checked in myself instead, in a room at Arc hotel and received the escort lady there in the hotel instead of my own house. And that was when we were engaged in love making when rudely interrupted by an unwelcome, untimely knock on my door lol.

Looking at all the posts, the consensus here seems to be that the ARC staff are always lurking around and have caught a few of us in compromising positions to say the least. Maybe not intentionally but asking if you need an apple, water or a chocolate on your pillow at 9 pm at night can get pretty annoying if you're having some sort of sexfest. lol. I'll probably go there on an outcall at some point but i won't be booking there again.

I love Indigo hotel! I've been there a couple of times but the only downside is that it's an open concept type hotel. It's like one big square and the front desk is located downstairs smack dab in the middle. So when you go up the elevator they can see which room you're going to except if you walk around the corner. The room I stayed was facing directly towards the front desk on the second floor. It wasn't exactly an ideal situation. Another thing is that the shower is good for other things as well. ;
