LegalEscortsNow.com? Legit or trap?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, this is a bit of a warning, and a bit of a question.

I contacted an SP on Craigslist and got a response back that said (some editing to make it post-worthy)

"To arrange an appointment all i need is for you to confirm your real age at the link below then you will be automatically forwarded to my private site with all my contact information and more pictures. You can also book online after the age verification is completed which is all free at the link below."

...

"P.s. I require the age verify for all as an extra precaution due to all the police that are trying to bust people on craigslist. Yes this is a very discreet procedure nothing will show up on your credit card statement unless you decide to continue with your trial membership.

"

What do you guys think? It screams either trap or scam to me. So beware.. once they have your credit card information as well as your name, etc. I think this could be considered communicating for the purposes..

This screams scam. No one needs your credit card info to confirm your age. They can talk to you and meet you if they want to verify your age.

It use to be that you had to be 18 to get a credit card but you can not buy a mastercard that you can load up (Kids buy them for buying cd's and stuff online all the time) also in the USA many banks are using a real time MC instead of a ATM card so credit cards are no longer proof of ID. So yes, this would be a scam. I keep warning people about craigslist but no one listens... when the ladies do not show photos, do not pay for the ads and can place the ads anonymously it's very dangerous as many people will abuse this service. Paid classified ads are always more legit.

I baited one of those scam artists once, they tried to convince me that with my credit card number they could also find out if I was a cop. OMG i almost died laughing. The Sad part is that some people do buy into there scam and get hurt in the end and that's not right.

Be sure to click the button on the ad to report it... I would hate to see more people scammed on that!

they are pretty easy to spot:

1.NO contact number

2.very very hot women (often professional photographed)

3.the title has mostly capital letters

I encountered the same thing with her ad on CL and as mentioned above by others never give out banking or credit card information in response to ads like this. I emailed her initially as to rates and approx incall location and got the same response minus the info I requested. Deleted her response and moved on. Best to stick with the ol' tried and true IMOP.
