  1. It's a good - and fair - question.

"As for whether any given person is really doing what she wants, or just doing what pays the bills... that's another matter entirely, and to some extent I think that's unknowable for us clients. But let's face it, there's a lot of people out there doing a job they'd perhaps not have chosen, but keep at it because it's better than the alternatives. I suspect most people in call centers, for example, would rather be elsewhere"

Couldn't agree more and frankly it's something I think about each and every time. Here we see a teeny tiny representation of the trade generally and while some are running a small business others are clearly not. This is not the easiest gig and I do strive to ensure I'm a good guy/client but it's a question I ask myself and am I really helping or hurting?

    A dilemma for sure.

  2. I'm staying positive and holding out hope that if the Liberals or even the NDP are elected, they will honour their pledge and repeal bill C-36, instead of just paying lip service in an attempt to garner more votes. It's obvious to anyone that C-36 is a bad law.

In my opinion it's very unlikely, unless of course their policy wonks and pollsters tell them it's a winner politically with the mainstream and an issue that they can win or lose an election on which it really isn't. The vast majority could care less because as a single issue it doesn't affect them one way or another.

When elected the goal of government from minute one is to be re-elected and if elected with a minority not getting defeated until they want to be defeated.

So I'd expect a reaction like while we might agree in principle more serious study is required before making any firm decision. They'll do the same thing with marijuana reform.

  3. Hang out. For me there would no point to running around. I'd eat good food, drink some wine have some chats and laughs and be chill. Which is pretty much how I live now and quite enjoy it.

No right or wrong answer here as it's quite individual

  4. I walked up and with a grin said "So what's you sign?" She smiled and said "Stop" Without missing a beat I smiled and replied "Not slippery when wet?" She pushed a chair toward me and said sit down :)

  5. I'm a rub and tug fan from way back and EB/TO back in the day was by far the go to place for that kind of service. Lots of fun and some great looking gals back then. Things could get a little carried away ;) no f/s but some times a more sensual interaction which suited me well. I miss it.

Going where there is guess work involved doesn't make sense to me...... but that's me.

  6. Internet shaming and the political correctness movement seem to go hand in hand these days and a lot of it seems to be driven by anger and self loathing. Anger mostly about themselves and attacking behind the cloak of secrecy allows them to feel better, superior and they can blame others for their lot in life and avoid taking any responsibility.

  7. I've book almost exclusively by email or text. I confirm an hour in advance and expect specific location information then. Through previous contact I've received general location information which is part of my own due diligence. Rarely do I speak on the phone. And I never provide personal information.

  8. Bill C-36 has had an impact without question but I think it's also a bit of a natural attrition. Demographics is having an impact as younger players really have no interest in this kind of social media. Sort of like golf, older folks still play but the youngins can't be bothered cause it takes too much time and for them it's boring. Certainly some quality players have moved on or gone to ground but there seems to be little benefit seen by lots of players on both sides. There is more of an edge and while I have generally have no issue with that, it does spin out of control very quickly and become repetitive and redundant. There does seem to be a lot of anger and frustration out there.

Maybe it is just inevitable that things will change.

  9. I've been around this game for a long long time and have found no real value in the reviews or recommendations from the various sites. I take everything into context as far as comments are concerned. If some one doesn't interest me then I won't pay any attention to reviews or recommendations at all. If some one does I might or might not, over the years you develop an ear as it were to whom you might be interested in then after that it becomes individual diligence.

Reading how folks interact and present themselves for me often tells more about the person than any thing else and plays a part in my decision making process.
