August 1 was celebrated in mediaeval Europe as Lammas Day (loaf-mass day), the beginning of the grain harvest. Shakespeare also tells us that Lammas Eve was Juliet's birthday. For my lover Another beautiful day in Sydney, Australia, mid-twenties, breezy, sunny. My lover by my side on Bondi Beach, lying together on the warm sand, gazing out at the ocean. There are whales in the distance (yes, you can really see them from the beach sometimes), and closer up dolphins frolicking. She looks amazing in her tiny bikini, with those abs and breasts that I adore, and her radiant auburn hair. The star of the beach; no one comes close to her beauty, no one can take their eyes off her, but we're together, and we're soaking up the moment.
