  1. They visited 26 addresses. Hardly a typical street sweep.
  2. I am surprised this has not been posted here! Hot topic on other boards for sure. No doubt there is more to the story but it is disappointing. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2014/09/13/escort-says-police-ignored-her
  3. Yes I agree. Existing laws cover every contingency that C36 covers. The PCs introduced it so they can present themselves as fighting exploitation.
  4. If you are a well known established lady with a reputation for being discreet, sure, I will share info if I really need to see you. A new member with two posts? No thanks. It's a choice between seeing someone I know and trust vs seeing someone I do not know anything about and who wants my info.
  5. That was more of a rhetorical statement, not meant to disagree with the challenge of C36. C36 DEFINITELY needs to be rewritten.
  6. Obviously the PCs stacked the witnesses and schedules to get the desired effect. The whole affair reminds me of the Mccarthy witch hunt of the fifties or the Soviet show trials of the thirties. It is so frustrating because this could have been a serious discussion and really effective and fair legislation could have been created. Sometimes I just want to give up on the whole idea of democracy and mob rule. I know mt local MP personally and he seems like an ok guy but there is a Jekyll and Hyde thing, he will not deviate from the party line about anything. Posted via Mobile Device
  7. ^ Challenging the last law was what got us into this mess. One step forward two steps back. Posted via Mobile Device
  8. How does C36 relate to this? A secure building is always a good idea. It won't stop a surprise visit from the po-po if that's what you are wondering.
  9. Whether or not Rob Ford is a goof, I would not wish a tumour on anyone.
  10. Too many here assume they are "typical" pooners. The prevailing board dogma is not the prevailing pooner dogma. Even the other board is very different. Board members are a tiny sample. Most guys use their phone because they cannot risk using a computer that their wife and kids share. An elaborate website does nothing for them. I have tried to get guys to join and they won't even look at the site!
  11. Sylvia at Eb, big busty blonde, long long time ago. Natasha at Club Forum late 80s early 90s, then worked high track in Van.
  12. Different forces will definitely have different responses depending on their size. The federal government may allocate specific funds for enforcement, but going into election season they will have other priorities themselves. I could see them having a photo op raid on a parlor so they can proclaim their success on TV.
  13. There's more to a guy's likeability than his wallet. I know millionaires who are great guys and millionaires who are complete jerks. Additional Comments: Yes, risk avoidance may be conjoined with "nice" and risk acceptance with "bad boy". A nice guy will stick in his decent job, a bad boy will accept the risk of quitting and looking for a better job, or going to night school to get a trade. The one with the better job will attract the better mate, that's the Selfish Gene 101. Pairing with a better caregiver not only secures the success of the female's offspring but the success of the offspring's offspring. There was an interesting Star Trek The Next Generation episode about this. Picard went back in time and re-lived his life. He tried to avoid all his mistakes and always played it safe. He ends up back on the Enterprise but Riker is Captain. Picard is an anonymous science worker. All those risks and mistakes made him the man he was because he learned from them. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I've made bigger mistakes than you can imagine but I would not change my life one bit.
  14. Women are programmed to choose a mate who will provide for their offspring and protect them. Nice Guys are too passive. Nice guys won't fight for their girl, nice guys won't fight for a raise either, a good partner is proactive when it comes to taking care of their family. A nice guy just sits there and hopes nothing bad happens. A badass makes damn sure nothing bad happens. I drive around in my cheap compact and get zero action. I ride my Harley to work and girls are asking for a ride. Go figure.
  15. Talking about buying is not illegal so closing your cerb account should not be necessary. There are lots of 420 forums where posters are pretty blunt. I plan on sticking with trustworthy companions nonetheless. My main concern is LE coming down really hard on some poor girl and making her co-operate in an entrapment operation or going through all her phone records/emails/social media. Yes LE have more important things to do but they may be explicitly directed to do exactly that by their civilian administrators. Just like there are unsolved murders but there are still units conducting speed limit enforcement. Most departments have specific units for sex/vice and this is right up their alley.
  16. I wonder if she had any media coaching. Her influence on the committee was a foregone conclusion. Her influence on the public viewing was what mattered IMHO.
  17. RG I wish that were true. We both know lots of women here who are professional and trustworthy. There are women I trust completely and unconditionally. Boards like this are echo chambers. Everyone here has a similar set of values. Some of us forget that we are a tiny minority in the greater society. Our values may be shocking to them. This is television being watched by people who may have never spoken to an actual prostitute. She is the ONLY prostitute they have ever seen speaking in a public forum. And look how she presents herself, how she dresses, how she speaks to the chair. Black leather, and black leather gloves? There's a time for that. Parliamentary Committees are not that time. She clearly made threats that could ruin people's lives, she had previously said she "had a bombshell" to deliver. She repeated that right in the hearing directly to Chairman Runciman. I think Runciman may have felt she was either grandstanding or about to drop the aforementioned bombshell. I fear she has confirmed a lot of people's suspicions about all the unsavoury aspects of this business. Especially the one about women keeping a little black book of information that could be useful down the road. I repeat, I am totally sympathetic to all her arguments but disappointed she wasted a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak out for every SP.
  18. Let's watch what we say and not get one of the girls fired.
  19. I wish she had not done that. It makes everyone in her professional look bad.
  20. Any down jacket I have had lost it's loft of bulk after a couple of years. All the down is in a lump at the hem.Synthetic insulation keeps it's shape longer in my experience. Posted via Mobile Device
  21. They are moving into urban areas now, they are in Vancouver. A lot of "wild" animals are becoming accustomed to humans and losing their fear of us. Coyotes killed a woman on Cabot Island in 2009.
  22. The Coach's Coat has a zip out liner so you can wear it as a trench coat in fall and spring without overheating.
  23. That's brilliant writing. My best friend is an ex SP I started seeing 32 and a half years ago. So YMMV eh.
  24. In Winnipeg a warm coat is a matter of life and death! My Coach Coat goes past my knees and kept me so warm it was well worth the price...about $600.
  25. Like RoamingGuy said, go to Mark's, better and cheaper. If you want something fancy I have two Descente parkas and a Descente Coach Coat. They are the best bar none. They have a website you can order from directly.
