Can't say I have ever had too much of a problem getting a drink at my local watering hole. Vanessa at Barb's even knows my drink and just brings it to me as I sit down. Granted it took a while, but it is great to have service like that! ltl

I know this thread pertains to CR moves, but I was at Barefax during the holidays and an old friend Emily went on stage. If you like a good stage show, Emily has pole tricks that make you wonder in amazement. The crowd was applauding evey pose! The highlight for me was a superman pose where she was literally 90 degree to the pole outstretched (do not know how she did it!) I miss the days of a great stage... Maude, Diamond, etc...

Hi all: Not much recent activity on this thread... is Jenny back? Haven't seen her in months.. She is a day girl and it is tough for me to get to barb's before 5...

Hi all: First post; be gentle! While I am new to this site (didn't know it existed...), I am not new to the strip club scene. While I visit all the local establishments, Barb's is still my favourite club because it is relaxed and the girls are classy. I was surfing this thread and read many comments about the demise of this club. I think property values will take out Barb's long before bad champagne rooms or surly management will. Looking at the plot of land it sits on, it is only a matter of time before the club is demolished and an apartment or office tower goes up in its place... Heck, a block away, they are building a tower right around a church! In the meantime I will continue to enjoy the casual atmosphere at Barb's. See you there!

I have been out of town for a few weeks and made Barb's one of my first stops when I got back. It was late on Wednesday and I arrived about midnight. I was happy to see the place busy. I didn't recognize too many dancers however. I had a few drinks and then the jet lag kicked in, so I went home. Properly rested, I came back on Saturday evening, about 6:30. Not nearly as busy, but there was Bridgette, Jenny, and Ariel. This is more my speed! Then Bridgette left, followed by Jenny. Note to self: Come well before 7!! I was afraid I would lose Ariel also... She did have plans, but we caught up for a while and had a great but short time. Then it was time for even Ariel to go. I was happy to see her and left in a good mood. Then it hit me: I had been to a strip club twice in 4 days and never had a dance! A first for me, but I am sure it will be corrected in short order... Barb's has become a place where I feel very comfortable and I am treated well by both the staff and the ladies. I guess after a hundred visits or so, it is finally paying off :)

You went down the wrong set of stairs Falconhawk... You wanted to go to the stairs by the DJ booth. If you are in the main room, it actually looks like a doorway with a Neon "Chambres Champagne Rooms" sign around it. The stairs are actually behind the doorway. The stairs you went down (closer to the bar) are used on busy nights for overflow. They open up a third stage down there when things get crazy. Believe it or not that used to be a male strip joint once upon a time! The easiest way to see the rooms is to let a girl take you down... She will certainly show you the way! :) Have fun.

Ariel danced at Barefax for some time. Cato even had a separate thread for her at that club! It was the only reason I went to Barefax. She used to be somewhat elusive as it was always a mystery if she was working. Lately though, Ariel sightings are more consistent.... ;) As for the general state of the club, I certainly accept that there are business cycles. What truly scared me though was being 20% of the customers all by myself. This was the scenario on a Sunday night last month. There is no room for the club or the girls to make money in that situation. There has to be some kind of critical mass for the club to succeed. I would hate for them to close on Sundays, as I can't think of a better way to ease into my week... Glad it's picking up!

I have also known Ariel as both blonde and brunette. Ariel would be my favorite if she was bald! I have no idea why she sat with me 2 years ago, but very happy she did. When you click with someone, it makes the time spent so much more enjoyable. There are many great ladies at Barbs but I certainly have a weakness for one. God forbid if Cato and I are in there on the same night. :) In a more general Barb's comment, even I have been guilty of not attending lately. I have been traveling and missing our little club. I check in on CERB regularly and am somewhat encouraged by the recent updates. When I get back, it will certainly be one of my first stops!

Don't give up! I have been both the guy waiting patiently and the guy who is lucky enough to get a visit! My first attempt to meet my ATF was foiled by her having a long conversation with another customer. Come to think of it, it might have happened more than once. Now, after several visits, we have become friendly and can talk for a long time. I could see how it would be frustrating to others who might want to see her, but I appreciate the conversation and I -think- she does too. In some ways, it is like a coffee or lunch break with friends. Also, if the stage show was particularly energetic, the dancer may be cooling down or relaxing (I know not really an issue at this time of year, but...) Most dancers know the right time to ask the 'question' for hitting the CR. If a lady was concerned about the time spent with a prospective customer, she could easily work it into the conversation. As others have mentioned, the other guy could be a regular, a fairly valuable commodity in these tough times. So throw some smiles, applaud, send a drink, make a compliment when going for a smoke or to the washroom, whatever. I once had a dancer say I looked bored at my table. I learned from that. I have never looked bored in a strip club since!

Capital Hunter is right: We are extremely lucky here: I travel quite a bit and have visited many other establishments. None compare to the relaxed vibe we get to experience here with extremely attractive women. I was in Vegas recently and ventured out: a $50 tip got us an average (pardon the pun) table. Then we paid over $100 for bottle service because the drinks were almost $20 each. The girls were aggressive and certainly weren't interested in chat. Conversely, go to Vancouver and see what passes for a private dance. $40/song gets you nothing but air... In many parts of Canada, forget entirely about the champagne room and last time I was in Seattle, the girls still had to wear pasties on stage! So let's protect what we have and pay our measly $4 cover, drink a $7 hi-ball (or perrier), and have a few dances... before we remember the good 'ol days and it was now. I promise to do my part! :)

Okay, let's see if I can make a post without any controversy... As other members have noted and as I have witnessed, Barb's seems to be very quiet lately. Still beautiful girls, but the customers are either missing or basically silent. Ordinarily, it would be good to have lots of ladies only a few guys, but I like a bit of atmosphere when I go out. More importantly, if the dancers have too many bad nights, they will simply move on and we will lose some gems. I remember, after the fire, how the bar had cheap drinks and the place was crazy. Good for everyone. I don't care too much about the booze, but sure would like to see that energy again!

It has been a while since our last Ariel sighting and I am happy to report that she is back after some time off! Barb's was as dead as I have ever seen it Monday afternoon (Should we have a rally or something?) Luckily for me, Ariel was there. After that, it really didn't matter if the place burned down around us. I can't deal with the duos like our great friend Cato. Ariel alone is basically all I can handle. She is drop dead gorgeous and an amazing lady to have a drink with and talk to. As for the CR, go to the bank machine first, because you won't want to stop! Each time gets better with Ariel. I missed her absence and am happy she is back. Now if only we could get Barb's hopping again. Maybe she has sisters??

This is a bit of a disturbing turn. Hopefully it is an innocent mistake. i.e. a dancer who uses the name Bridgette in other clubs. ? Our Bridgette has confirmed that 'bridge' is not her... Is this a CERB record? Suspended in 1 post?

I had been a fan of Bridgette's (like many others) before she went on her European odyssey. So after a year, it was like seeing an close friend when we met again. A hot friend that is! Her physical charms are already well detailed on this site. I am equally impressed with her intelligence and wit. We are lucky that she chose to come back to Ottawa and, with time, we will convince her to lose her one silly obsession: The Leafs! :)

Turning you away would be insane! :) But seriously, if there was a table or two of girls in the club, wouldn't that be GOOD for business? I know I certainly would be sending a tray of drinks to your table!

Thank you Phaedrus for crystallizing my thoughts better than I could myself. The original inocuos question has led to a bigger debate and perhaps one that should be had. Why would we hobbiests ever feel entitled to publically give out somebody else's contact info? It is not our info to give. The public record lasts forever. Typing in the phone number on an open site instantly makes it public record. We could get into a long discussion here about web crawlers... Thus, it should only be the subject him/herself that divulges this info. We have many ways of hinting without actually sealing the deal. It is the proverbial 'horse to water' idiom. It is also entirely possible that a member does not want to be contacted by or reply to another. We have to respect that choice. Again, I understand that there is a fair amount of advertising on this site and I have used it myself. The ads and profiles are easily accessible and a great tool for the hobbiest. I realize it may seem like splitting hairs as to whether we distribute info that already appears to be readily accessible, but it is a very important distinction. I do not want anybody giving out my personal info and I will not give out anybody else's. Now let's all hug it out and get back to talking about bodyslides! :)

Michel K: I don't know Wendy's schedule, but it is certainly her. I thought the same as you (retired), but apparently not the case. FYI, slow stage song, she was wearing red dress/black tights/ivory skin... :) Cato: Sierra as toned as ever. She could crack walnuts with her thighs.... I was also down Tuesday evening and caught up with our friend Bridgette. Amazing young lady. Guys, if you like pretty, young, intelligent women (and yes a redhead!), check her out... Lots of new non-dancing staff: servers and shooter girls both seemed new(er). I have to learn a whole new set of names now...

Speaking for myself, I had some fun with a question which could have been a bit less vague. I don't think anybody meant any harm. The OP asked for this very same info in May (in the Claire Rec thread) and got a very prompt, specific, and polite response. The OP has also been a member of CERB since early 2010, so I am not sure how 'new' that is. We have a responsibilty to search this site (it works well) and use the mountains of useful info already posted. Failing that, a quick google search by name returns the result almost instantly. I am not comfortable seeing MP or SP phone numbers being given out in a public thread. Yes, I get it: she has a banner on this site and is easily accessible. That's the whole point. Still, if numbers are being given out, I would be happier if it was by the MP or SP herself. I do not see how it is my place to distribute this info without her approval. Just my $0.02.

Snuck down to Barb's on Sunday night... Forgot it was reading break so my ATF was elsewhere.... Regardless, saw some old friends (Wendy, Sierra) and met some new (Snow). All in all okay, but absolutely no energy in the bar. My fellow patrons were more interested in the Pittsburgh game! I also had an odd incident, a first actually. I very politely declined a visit to the CR, and got some serious attitude. Never happened in all the years of SC visits. Times must be tough...

Wow. This thread has been resurrected! As Capital Hunter has already mentioned Bridgette, I also have to add our ever-popular Ariel! She is an amazing young lady and if she ever calls you 'babe', you will melt (others will know what I mean). Very sexy and a very cool woman. I have stopped putting $ into RRSP's and now give to to ACRD's (Ariel Champagne Room Dances). Careful. she is addictive! :)

I second Cato's nomination. While very popular, Ariel is certainly worth any wait (or 'fight' ;-)). As per Cato's description, she is gorgeous (c'mon: Kate Beckinsale= AMAZING), but it is when you actually talk to her that you realize she is a special lady. Treat her well gents!
