1. I'm down for a holiday party! Looking forward to it!
2. I would attend and would gladly pay a fee to do so :) BUT I'd want to hitch a ride on the party bus so I can enjoy a bevvy or two...
3. interesting topic... I'm more of the feeling that sp-ing is the side effect of my previous relationships. I was involved in non-monogamous relationships, had the desire to safely enjoy continued variety, and found I could earn an income while doing so. So here I am :)
4. fa·ce·tious adjective treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humor; flippant. .........that's what the comments were, completely sarcastic and facetious. Despite the rather obvious fact that the writer didn't intend those comments with any kind of seriousness, they were still not in very good taste, in my opinion.
5. update... so he rallied back at bit in the spring and was pretty good all summer, but he didn't seem as strong as he was in years before. Last week he stopped eating again, and tonight he slipped away. RIP little guy xo
6. http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/09/23/most-sex-workers-satisfied-with-their-jobs-and-dont-see-themselves-as-victims-survey-finds/ Most sex workers in Canada are comfortable in their work, according to a national survey of prostitutes, their partners, clients and managers. The study, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and based on hundreds of interviews in six communities, found that 70% of sex workers are satisfied with their jobs. Eighty-two per cent feel they are appropriately paid and 68% feel they have good job security. â??They donâ??t see themselves as victims in the sense that theyâ??ve been portrayed in the current [prostitution criminalization] bill,â? said lead researcher Cecilia Benoit. â??Theyâ??re actually a lot like you and I. They just havenâ??t had quite so many advantages in some cases.â? During debate over the Conservative governmentâ??s new prostitution law, Bill C-36, which seeks to abolish the industry by criminalizing it, the billâ??s supporters have portrayed sex work as intrinsically exploitative. The Conservatives brought in C-36 after the Supreme Court struck down the old law. It is expected to become law this winter. The bill is being studied in the Senate, where witnesses have given starkly different views of the profession, with backers of the legislation insisting that sex workers â?? who they claim are often trafficked women and children â?? are victims. The researchers â?? in Ottawa on Monday and Tuesday to present preliminary findings from the ongoing study â?? say thatâ??s not what most sex workers say. â??They talk to us about the amount of control they have over their work situation,â? said researcher Mikael Jansson. â??They have a lot more control over the timing of their work, the pace of their work than journalists.â? Sex workers reported a median annual income of $39,500. â??They say it gives them independence, given their life situation, and it gives them income,â? said Ms. Benoit.
7. I get what you're saying, some sort of acknowledgement your message was received is always appreciated.... BUT .... unless you specify in your message that it's ok to respond at any time, you really shouldn't expect a lady to do so after some time has passed. Most ladies won't respond after a couple of hours because they aren't sure if it's safe. You might have sat down for dinner with your wife and kids since then. Always best to offer a window... such as "Please don't respond after 5pm" or "ok to respond any time this evening" ... you'll be surprised how much difference it makes :)
8. there is a lotto group on one of the other review boards, it's like a going joke... what kind of people would be showing up for the picture if they win??!!
9. ahhh an interesting point indeed! If most people would share (and from the poll results it appears they would)... you might get lucky!
10. Would you share your winnings with the person who gifted you the ticket? Would you volunteer the happy news? Would you only tell if they asked you? Or would you keep the win to yourself? Would the amount of the win change your answer? For example, if it was $10 vs $1000? What if it was a big one... like over 10k?
11. I have a couple of gents who request them, and I oblige as it's their preference. I don't use them often as I find them too large and cumbersome, and it's not just the appearance it's the comfort. The inability to self lubricate also means using more artificial lube.
12. good time for sure!! It was perfect timing that I happened to be returning from the east coast on that day! Had a really good time, you're all such great fun! thanks to the organizers and sponsors for putting it all together, you really do a fine job. Nice to see so many old friends, there never seems to be enough time to connect with everyone but it was so nice to see everyone there enjoying the evening. Met some new friends too and thank you for the messages and kind words, it was an absolute pleasure to share some time with you all! Can't wait for the Christmas Social!
13. oh Newfoundland.... what can I say?!! Besides you were right! Ice4fun and others did advise me that my plans were ambitious (to put it politely) and they were right!! I did not make it to your lovely province this visit, and I'm just bummed about it! I hadn't really thought about the costs of travel vs the income I can generate in two days visit, so it really was a matter of being cost-prohibitive. On top of that, I was getting pretty exhausted and might not have been at my best. I will plan a visit to NL exclusively and spend enough time there that not only can I make it worthwhile, I will have time to see and enjoy the entire province and not just the ferry and a hotel room!
14. so wow.... got to say that I think NB was my favourite province to visit! I took all your advice and did see as much as I could! I made it to St. Andrews, what a lovely village, drove the Fundy trail, stopped at Cape Enrage and at Hopewell Rocks at both high and low tide. Fabulous!! I did make it to the tidal bore in Truro but not the one in Moncton. However, I made a day trip over to Parlee beach which was lovely!! Also had some fun in PEI, I dined at Brothers 2 in Summerside and enjoyed the "Bib & Butter" experience..mmmm! drove the coast to West Point, then to the North Cape ..holy windmills!! I stopped briefly at Cavendish Beach too! Thanks again for your help it made my trip most enjoyable!!
15. thanks to everyone who provided touristy info for me :) had a really good time, visited plenty of interesting and beautiful places, spend a good deal of time on Cape Breton Island, went to Louisbourg fortress which was fascinating, and did make it to Truro also, although it rained so I didn't get out for a ride. I watched the tidal bore and then had dinner at the lovely place called Ryan Duffy's wine bar & grill instead... delish!! thanks again everyone!
