1. I like the PM system on here, and use it all the time. I like that it notifies me that I have a message, via an email, so I don't have to keep logged in to know someone is trying to reach me. On the other hand, it is annoying to have to log on to answer. But I get that some guys don't want any incriminating emails in any of their email accounts.

In general, I find the gentlemen from cerb far more cooperative in screening etc than guys off some of the other sites.

Just my own experience

Oh me too... but you're having that same experience with members with no posts and/or moderated accounts?

That makes me wonder if some are maybe old members revisiting the site. People who are new to these sites aren't usually as etiquette or board savvy IMO.

2. I agree with Craig that the proper thing to do is whatever the SP has asked you to do, no question.

But that does lead me to a dilemma I've mused about occasionally (I hope this is still on-topic, not thread-hijacking). It's not uncommon to see SPs here (or elsewhere) say something to the effect of "no explicit talk". I get that, it seems sensible for a variety of reasons, among them that there are hobbyists who really only want to exploit the SPs time by engaging in explicit talk rather than really booking with her. So, yes, reasonable request.

On the other hand, it is not uncommon in threads to see a hobbyist ask "does anyone know an SP in my area who will [explicit blank]", and the advice which is always given to such hobbyists - again, reasonably - is "find an SP who interests you and then ask her whether she will [explicit blank]".

You see the dilemma: separately reasonable rules both of which can apply but lead to different results. What is the solution?

I would rather someone ask for specific details ie bbbj / cbj, but I'm still not promising any service via email or phone without meeting you. I always tell gents services are dependent on their impeccable personal hygiene, and that can't be detected virtually. So really it's a moot point.

Shockingly, it's not difficult to tell the difference between someone calling for coaching through an orgasm vs inquiring about service details.

3. recently I've noticed a new trend... and it's becoming quite frequent. Enough that I thought it might be worth discussion.

I post in my ads that I prefer initial contact via email. However, I don't mind receiving private messages to book, especially if it's from someone I've previously met. It's discreet, convenient and works for those who might prefer no email or text trail. win/win :)

It also works well for the seasoned member who has a responsible posting history, who posts respectfully worded recos and is generally well mannered on the board. I can usually expect that member to provide all the required info I need for booking in the first few messages ... not always, but usually ;)

What I've noticed recently is different. I've been getting many PMs from members who either have been here for years and never posted, or have just joined and have a moderated account. When I ask that member for information to book ... such as a reference ... often they simply stop responding.

I've noticed some ladies don't accept private message from anyone they haven't previously met, and I'm sure in some cases this is the reason for that. I'd like to keep my PM box open to all those interested in reaching out, but I'm seriously considering otherwise.

Thanks for reading :)

COME FOR THE SEX, STAY FOR THE JAIL TERM

On August 15, 2014 by Dave Johnson
Bill Thomas

â??I wonder why prostitution is illegal. Why should it be illegal to sell something thatâ??s perfectly legal to give away?â? . George Carlin .

Last year the Supreme Court of Canada threw out the old and archaic laws on prostitution and recently Justice Minister Peter MacKay replaced them with a new and even more archaic set of laws. Bill C-36 is designed to abolish prostitution in Canada, a prospect with as much chance of success as world peace, a clean planet and the Nobel Peace Prize for Vladimir Putin.
Canadaâ??s new prostitution law would make it legal to sell sex and illegal to buy it. How it works is, if youâ??re a provider of sex you are now a legitimate, single-proprietorship, business retailer and if youâ??re a customer, youâ??re a criminal. (Peter: The correct economic theory is supply and demand. Not supply and reprimand.)
In Canada, the worldâ??s oldest profession just became the countryâ??s most confusing occupation. â??Hi, câ??mon in. See anything you like? Yeah, well stick â??em up! Youâ??re under arrest.â?
Now if you think this is kind of stupid, you donâ??t know Canada. Thatâ??s how we do things here.
In Canada, in the 1950â?²s we developed the Avro Arrow. Twenty years ahead of it time, the Avro Arrow was a fast and furious military fighter jet without equal in the world. At enormous cost and with the finest of scientific minds we built an aircraft that could fly circles around Cold War enemies. So we cancelled the program, destroyed all the planes, burned any evidence of its existence and flew the sole surviving models into Lake Ontario. Why? Because we felt like it.
In Canada, in the 1990â?²s we had perhaps the greatest multinational communication consortiums in the world. Nortel employed 100,000 people with capital of $400 billion. The Canadian government watched this telecom company disintegrate into bankruptcy as the shareholders cleaned the carcass and then all the high tech component companies were auctioned off to foreign interest so they could then cripple the growth of other hi-tech companies back home. Why? It sounded like a good idea at the time.
In Canada we created a huge nonprofit, conservation organization with a half million enthusiastic members. The Ducks Unlimited people manage wetlands and bird habitants in order to promote a larger and healthier population of waterfowl. And then they shoot them. Why? Why not?
In Canada, we be loony.
So to a Canadian, the new prostitution law â?? hookers happy, johns in jail â?? makes perfect sense. The new sell and buy law is a lot like taking your car into Jiffy Lube to get your oil changed and after you pay for the job you find yourself calling a friend from jail, asking for bail money and a ride home. Applying this legal/illegal business model, McDonaldâ??s would definitely not have been as successful as they are today by selling 260 billion burgers and then having their customers escorted out of the restaurant in handcuffs.
Three years away from its 150th birthday, Canada is still a relatively young country. Russia, by comparison is 5,000 years old and before Bush and Cheney turned the â??Cradle of Civilizationâ? into â??Hell on Earth,â? Iraq was way older than Christ. As a youngster on this plant we tend to do really stupid things and then lock ourselves in our room for long periods of time. Plus, we elect people to office who couldnâ??t organize sex in a bordello which brings us back to a prostitution law that makes you think our justice minister was swarmed and badly stung at five years of age during his â??birds and beesâ?? talk.
The new Canadian law is not quite as bazaar as the law in the State of Montana which considers prostitution a â??crime against the family.â? Some family! Although thereâ??s probably something sinister in that rule, the most egregious Montana law is the one that makes it illegal for a married woman to fish alone on Sunday. Thatâ??s the one thatâ??s keeping me awake at night.
All this is just as confusing as a recent headline in Italian newspapers that read: â??Prostitutes appeal to Pope.â? To be clear, the prostitutes were petitioning the Pope for his help with serious issues in their sex trade industry. The Pope, I repeat, the Pope does not find prostitutes appealing. I mean, câ??mon â?? the Popemobile doesnâ??t even have a backseat!
Justice Minister Peter MacKay can be forgiven for his confusion about how the sex trade business works. For one thing â??the house of ill reputeâ? no longer refers to a brothel. In Canada over time, â??the house of ill reputeâ? has become the nickname for the House of Commons. With no less than four Canadian senators either now charged or about to be charged with financial crimes, the â??house of sober second thoughtâ? has become an exclusive club for power-drunk thieves. The fact that MacKay visits these places almost every day is no reflection on his character.
I believe it was Dave Broadfoot, our father of comedy who said: â??The problem in Canada with political jokes is that so many of them get elected.â? Amen.

Be aware that though it may look small on a map, the Maritimes, and then to add on Newfoundland is a huge undertaking timewise, and there is no way to see it all.

I've made some changes to my plans with this in mind ...and although you're probably still right here, I think I've left myself enough time to see some sights! I've got time to spend in the Bay of Fundy, Cape Breton, and travelling across the Rock. So exciting!

6. I've been told I give a pretty good massage.... but I'm going to be selfish and say I'd rather receive.

I drive on tour and my back gets tight and tense ... when I was in Calgary last year I had a gent provide me with the most wonderfully relaxing, sensual massage. I'd been driving that day for about 7 hours and it was simply heavenly.

Driving east in the fall.

Just sayin'

Now, if I can mount it on my kayak paddle I'm going to be stoked!!

9. Deltas nice but no views of the Harbour. I would prefer the Hiltons instead cause they have nice views.

exactly what I hear...I've got my hotel locations all figured out thanks to great advice from my touring mentor (thanks doll you know who you are xoxo)

I just need to put it all together once I've got some good tourist destinations to visit :)

10. so I'm driving east this fall.... and as is customary I'm making a vacation out of my tour. I love to visit you guys but I'd also like to see the country and so I need the advice of some experts ;)

I was raised on the coast in Wales, and the only time I've seen the east coast of Canada is from a boat while sailing past. I remember it being very similar to the Welsh coast, and I'm so excited! It's the next best thing to a vacation back home.

I'd like to stop in most major centres for work, but I'm open to detours for some fascinating scenery. I'm in the early planning stages so have no idea exactly when I will be where, or how long I will stay once I arrive. However, with your help I can build a schedule that will allow me plenty of time to misbehave, with some down time to enjoy my holiday.

I'm bringing my bike so keep in mind any awesome bike trails you know of. I do know that I want to drive the bridge to PEI, and take the ferry over to Newfoundland. I'm taking the short ferry cause I don't mind driving, but what route to take and what to stop and see on the way from Port aux Basques to St. John's? probably plenty! I'm open to any advice.

My questions are both work related and touristy ... don't forget to tell me what province or city you're referring to.....

best days to hobby ... weekends or weekdays?

best times to hobby ... morning, afternoon, or evening?

three things I must see in your province while I'm there?

one thing I must see in your city before I leave?

your favourite restaurant?

your favourite scenic walking route, bike trail, or outdoor attraction.

thank you kindly in advance for your assistance ladies and gentlemen! ;)

13. While safety is of great importance to me, it's certainly not the only thing that makes me happy. Freedom, independence, financial security, etc combine to make me happy.

Feel free to express your personal feelings on safety and happiness in your letters or comments to the HHC site or directly to your MP :)

Strength in numbers!!

I have received sufficient support in posts, thanks, nominations, private messages and letters to assure me that the few ladies left complaining are a very small minority. What a completely counterproductive activity this has become, so I'm going to stop participating in the thread now :)

14. Hello MJL,

I've been trying to wrap my head around this concept and it still doesn't make any sense to me. Would you mind explaining the thought process behind it?

Btw, I am not asking this question in a confrontational manner. I truly want to understand what the statement represents and how it makes sense.

Thanks :)

speaking only for myself of course, as everyone had their own experiences, I've rarely felt unsafe. On those few occasions that I have, I was far from happy. I've made changes to my screening to try to ensure that feelings of fear don't happen, and I've remained safe and happy because of it. Hope that helps.

edit: Mod pointed out to me that my first response to Kathryn Bardot set a negative tone for the thread, and I agree. I could have done better. Please accept my apologies for that.

Remember that everyone has an opinion ... that's what makes us unique. If mine is different from yours, that doesn't make it wrong, it makes it different. All of the posts here are opinion... just like mine. I often disagree with yours, but I don't object to your right to express it. Please respect my right to express mine.

15. I would like to respectfully request that this thread maintain a positive vibe ...there is huge support for this movement ..... as indicated on the controversial original post ... this thread was nominated and thanked many many times!!

please take a moment to read the new letters recently added to the site from both happy hobbyists and providers.

They describe real life situations in which ladies have found their success and happiness through sex work, and gents have found companionship and intimacy they may not have otherwise enjoyed.

let's try this one more time.... shall we?
