Even though I'm not a SP (although I play one on TV - sorry, bad 80's humor), I may be able to chime in with info I know. I've spent many-a-night texting with a friend who works regularly (I would usually drive her home, so I needed to know when she was wrapping up for the night, etc.). We would text throughout the nights and I got a pretty good feel for the flow of clients/when it was slow, etc. I can't count how many nights she would be upset and want to go home early because nobody was booking or even texting. I've seen her go full nights with only one client....seen slow weeks, etc. But I've also seen really busy nights, where she would go home early cause the night was so good. I've seen nights that even shocked her (and she isn't new to the business), they were that good. First off.....I will say, do not, in any way, take it personally (even though that's probably pretty hard to do) - do not allow slow times to mess with your mental physique. I've seen your pics on this site and can say you are very hot (and I'm one who usually goes for the spinner type). You ooze a certain unobtainable sexuality (I see it come through in your pics) - YOU'RE fine, trust this...... Now, as for why there may be slow times.... 1. End/Start of the month - bill time = less spending money. In the same vein, you may see a slow-down around "spending times" ......like when school supplies are being bought or Christmas. 2. Concentration of competing ads due to time of year. For instance, this nicer weather is bringing out more girls, expecting more business. Summer is busier than winter, etc. 3. Quality of competing ads - sometimes there will be an influx of girls coming from out of town/new girls, which draws clients away from local girls. The guys really like trying something new sometimes.....which leads me to..... 4. This business (like the bar/restaurant business) is pretty circular. I used to own a couple bars and had the same feelings I think you are displaying. Why was the bar so dead this month....what are we doing wrong?? If you spend any regular time in bars downtown, you will see this pattern of highly busy....then a taper-off, then back to busy. People like change in their entertainment and tend to follow others.....if a bar is the hot spot, it's the hotspot because it's the hotspot. If it's dead, it's because it isn't known as the hotspot of the month and people walk in and end up leaving cause there is nobody there. This slightly transfers over to the escort world in the sense that there are just up and down times, depending on many factors like good/bad reviews, newness to the business, etc. If it's bad for you now, it will get better....and there will be down times again. :) 5. Location plays a factor too. If you use one location over and over that isn't the best in guys eyes, you may not see as much repeat business or if you book a hotel that is lower-end, etc. On the flip side, sometimes staying in a different spot/higher end place will comfort the client more so, bringing in more business. Sometimes, after a clients sees you in a "good" location, they may be more apt to visit in a less than stellar location the next time. Perceptions/familiarity play a role. 6. How much you work. Obviously, if you are available/advertise all the time, there is no "rush" to try and see you and you will tend to feel the effects of the circular pattern more. If you work, say, one or two days a month, those days WILL usually be busy. The escort I lived with only worked/advertised a couple days a month. In the days in-between, she would be contacted by a lot of regular clients....the odd time she would do an outcall, but didn't prefer outcalls. I've seen guys pay $100 more or even double the regular price to get to see her in the off weeks. A lot of the times, when she would go back to work, she had many clients already waiting for her return or even pre-booked. Unavailability is good sometimes, but not an attractive plan when things are slow, sadly - but it has to be done from time to time. 7. Ads and pics!!! Some men have the attention span of an after-dinner mint. Once they see your ad one time, they immediately form an opinion/choice in their head. So, every time they see that same ad, they think the same thing. If they get a positive opinion, you're set, but if you get bumped down to the "maybe" section or even the "no way" section, you are kinda stuck there. Adding new pics/different ad wording can sometimes shake it up and give those maybe/no way guys a chance to rethink things. If your current ad is working fine, don't mess with it too much - I've seen ads on Backpage that haven't change at all in years. Those things may help explain down times, and here are some solutions I've seen used..... 1. Changing pics/ads/posting more ads. I know on Backpage, if you use the free ad option, I don't think your ad shows up in the Gallery view, which is the most popular section guys will go to. If you go to the "Date" section (where free ads run), you will see how many more ads there are vs the Gallery view. I believe to put up a full ad is like 4-5 bucks and you will have to pay that amount again to bump it up/make another post....but you will be viewed by a lot more potential clients. I'll tell ya.....until I read that you worked, I thought you were just a girl who liked posting on Lyla.....I go on Backpage/Lyla a lot and never saw your ad (I usually use Gallery view on BP). I had to kinda dig a bit to find you. :) 2. Changing rates/services. This usually happens when things are slow/competitive. If you see one girl offering "$80 specials", usually more will pop up doing the same thing. Like in all commerce, people want deals and sometimes you have to offer them - but that is your choice. Also, you may see girls pop up that are offering services they didn't before. There is one girl on BP who doesn't look like she struggles to find clients, but lately she has been offering a service she didn't before and it's a rather big jump type service. Maybe she evolved to doing that in her personal life and has added it to the menu now that she is comfortable with it, or........ maybe she is adding it to trump up more business? Most girls are pretty set in what they offer though and it would take a major change/lack of business for them to deviate from that. It's an option though.... 3. Providing an excellent service/Communications. If you are offering a great service, sometimes, ya just gotta stick with it and hope word spreads......conversely, if you find things are realllllly slow, it could stem back to the quality of the visit for the guys (not saying this is the case with you - I have never seen you). Some providers are, well, just not that good at what they do and word spreads and they slowly lose clientele. In cases like this, an option is trying another city/travel to where you are not well-known and milk that areas as much as you can and move on (hey, it happens lol). Other than those things, I guess patience is your best recourse of action most of the time. You will have down weeks....even months, but if you provide a good service, visibly get yourself out there, are somewhat consistent and keep a good attitude, the good times will come. Heck, there will probably be times you will look back on this thread and say, "How was I ever that slow???". :) :) Hope any/some of that helps!

After I tried to hire her, I was suspicious and searched around - there are many, many links where guys discuss her. It sure doesn't.....but just because she changed her gender and is fine with it, doesn't mean all guys will change their thinking and be fine with it too. This conundrum is touchy in normal life, so it is ubertouchy in this case. She may be pretty much all women now, but a long period of her life she was male; had male parts, etc. Some men just are not comfortable with having the thought in their head that they are getting intimate with a person that was once male-equipped. Maybe it's a "macho/Ram Truck/I don't cry" kinda mindset in those males, but that is how they think and that is their choice. The link attached was simply to give the prospective clients the opportunity to know all the facts and make their choice from there as opposed to blindly finding out after the fact. I can totally see why see avoids mentioning that fact in her ad - she really doesn't have to. ....but some clients may see the lack of inclusion of that fact to be dishonest/misleading. I personally think giving the prospective clients a heads up both helps them and, on some levels, may also help her. I'm gonna tell ya.....there are some guys out there who would be LIVID to find out after the fact (not me, I was more of a "meh", just not my cup of tea)......it could be dangerous for her to take someone to such a volatile emotional level.....I mean, there are literally guys out there who would want to go back and cause her harm. It's a fine line/touchy subject, but full disclosure/the truth is never the wrong decision. :) Additional Comments: Oh....and I also should point out (and I should really stay away from this subject matter - it never seems to do me any good - lol) that she is a "PartyGirl". She was partaking as I entered the room and was flying pretty high once we started talking. Again (as I've found out :p), this is also a touchy area for guys.

Well, that is probably the right reaction then. I would be offended too if someone called me a drug addict, but here is the thing - I didn't call you a drug addict. :) There is a part of my post that starts with ..."now, on the other side", where I mention the providers, like yourself, who are not addicted to drugs and work to pay for school, etc. You are obviously in that group. I didn't lump EVERYONE into the "they are drug addicts" pile. Just to be fair. That is awesome!! ....and, as I mentioned above, that puts you in the non-drug addict category. Now, at this point I want to point out that my experiences have shown me that *some*, not all of these girls (and when I say "these girls", I don't mean "all escorts" - I am referring to the ones who aren't working to pay for school), will say the EXACT thing you just said above. A lot of them "are going to school" or were going to school - think about it, if you were NOT actually going to school and were working for drug money, would you just say that? They are not interested in members bashing escorts or the likes - they want positive, helpful reviews and I can respect that. This is the more "Sunny" side of the business. Until you walk in someones shoes for a day, I think it's unfair to have ultimate expectations. Sure escorts *should* be as courteous to the client as much as they expect the client to be courteous to them....but this is the escort business - it's not the dentists office - to think these ladies can be professional all the time is not a reality....I know a lot of guys on here who have dealt with what I am talking about and approach this hobby with limited expectations - I just think there is a middle ground somewhere. Sure there are girls who are on the up and up and treat what they do with respect, but there are also clients being robbed (or worse) out there. I know of whom you speak of.....quite well. I actually initially booked her based on bikerdude's recommendation. First time I saw her was in a super-sketchy location, but the service was actually good. Second time I saw her, she ended up coming to my house to drink and ended up staying the night - didn't charge me anything. She probably needed a place to stay. Third time I saw her she pulled a scammy move on me for a duo at a hotel. She was at my house again another night and kinda worked from my place. I took her to a couple calls and got to see how she works. It was bad. Spent another night at my place with a friend. She would pretty much text me any time she was stranded (which was a lot) and scammed me into driving her far out of town one night. It was at that point I knew it was a matter of time before her antics would get her driven out of town - and a couple weeks after that, she was gone. My suspicion is she basically ran out of clients/the ability to get clients and maybe hooked up with a "manager". Seems she pulled the same moves wherever she went and came back here, but has now resorted to outright robbery to get her money. This girl's story will not end well.

I gave Lexi a good revue recently. I know her a bit and can say she usually is pretty good, but has run into some family/money problems. May be why she is in panic mode. These girls tend to get crafty/thrifty when they are in extra need. As mentioned, she is not usually like this; but this profession is manic - these times come and go, sadly.

The best duos are usually from the girls out of Montreal. They do it the right way - usually fully interactive. They advertise their duos as the main attraction. If you want a good duo around here, your options are limited. 1. Kylie Jane/Charlotte Quinn I. personally, have only seen Kylie; but I hear Charlotte has a similar style, so their duo would be very good. 2. Emily Wilson and her friend I have not seen either girl, but they are both very hot. They advertise as fully interactive, but I suspect it is somewhere in between. Bikerdude has seen this duo, maybe he can chime in. 3. Ms. Manda + Friend I have seen her ads pop up from time to time offering duos (usually with Sarafini?? - sorry if I got that name wrong). I suspect this is a good duo also. As for the other ads you see that causally mention duos available at the end of their ad (this is a sign they are not really "doing" duos, but they can, if needed). These girls are usually just 2-3 girls who are all in together on one room. It's hard enough to nail one of these girls down for an appointment, let alone two of them......and fully interactive is rarely available. Most of the time these "duos" come with some sort of scam (mid way through the duo, one of the girls will "mistakenly" have double booked appointments and you and the other girl can "go for a drive and come back when she is done" - the ride/date ends when you drop her off at the hotel and she says "thanks" (escort code for "suckerrrrr!!!"). Or one of the duo girls isn't into the idea and just sits in the corner and they swap in and out as opposed to both of them working at the same time. Or....when you show up, there is also the ol'...."the girl in the ad (or whom they said on the phone) had to go to another call....but X is here". "X" usually is not as hot as initial promised girl and it may be "that time of the month" for her - so no sex - will only do BJ's (probably just some friend of the escort looking to make extra cash). Sketchyness!! Barbie won't do duos with other escorts....but as a client, you may bring your GF/wife etc. and she will do a "duo" (for an additional charge). She did have a duo partner back when she first started, but not any more. She once contemplated working with Sexy Lexi, but Lexi has since retired. I almost had an appointment set up for a duo with Barbie and Emily Wilson (Barbie and I were close, so she made an exception), but, sadly, it fell through. :(

There were a group (or groups) of girls in town the past few weeks posting multiple ads/same number/new number, etc., etc. Lots of scamming going on. Backpage was completely different the past couple weeks. Post after post of unrecognizable ads. I believe they have shipped out of town. Now, the "regular" girls of Halifax BP can get back to their routines and not have to offer specials due to lack of calls. I know a couple of the Halifax girls and I saw their clientele drop during this time.....some days they didn't get any calls/texts the whole day. It's never usually that slow.

lol - keep hiring escorts and you will. :p It's great to "try something new" - but unless someone has seen the girl before (or she has numerous reviews), I'm staying away. Learned my lesson(s). When I first started seeing escorts, almost every girl I "took a chance on" was not only disappointing; but I left angry that I wasted my money (not going to name names). In doing research, I have been able to at least somewhat lesson my disappointment levels because I make, what I think, are better decisions. I have had some luck just throwing caution to the wind, but that happened TWICE.....just twice. Not good odds. Now, mind you - I have also seen well-reviewed girls that turned out to be horrible. Ya never know when you will catch these girls. Some are up all night; some are on drugs (well, a LOT are on drugs - it's what got them to where they are); some may be having a bad day; some have emotional issues and you might catch them on a "low". It's hit or miss - even with girls you have seen before many times. All I know is that from experience/research/getting to know a few of these girls, I can sniff out the bad ones pretty good now. The patterns they follow are pretty consistent. I can tell by the wording of the ad, how old their pics are/how often they upload new pics/how they text and/or talk.....it's not that hard to know the ones to stay away from if you have experience. It's sad - I'd fathom to guess only 35-40% (maybe less) of these girls are doing the whole escorting thing right/"professionally". There are well-established girls out there who care about repeat customers and how well they please the client.......but not a lot. ......the other 60-65% are living fast and catching men here and there to grab a few bucks to buy that thing that makes it easier to get the money to get the next thing - viscous cycle. Most of them don't have consistent homes - they go wherever they can work - they stay up for days straight. They have no desire to get repeat customers or to even satisfy their current customer. These are the girls that will have you saying, "well, that was a waste of _____ dollars" as you drive away. We've all been there and it will happen again to most of us. :(

There seems to be a large number of "new" girls on BP lately. A lot of these ads are fake/tied to one another. As you mentioned, I wouldn't gravitate towards anyone who isn't reviewed/established. You're just asking for disappointment in "trying something new" at this time. Stick with the girls you recognize on BP....for instance, on page one right now, the following girls are safe to go see (as far as I know).... She may have accidentally added two extra cities when posting her ad. Maybe Yukon and Cariboo are close on the list of cities or something? I doubt it though - seems more like an attempt at a scam (in different cities) by someone who doesn't know we can search the pics/ads. They probably thought Halifax and that area were far enough apart nobody would catch on. Derp. Maybe "her" next tour will be simultaneously in NFLD, Victoria and Anchorage lol
