I just finished a session with Ashley at Applehead Studios. She was fantastic and a lot of fun! Even if I sucked, she help make me feel like a pro model and a million bucks! Photos were in just a little over a week. I did the 90 min package, minus prints, and they gave me all the good photos. I still went through and did the cropping for my no face photos. She was happy to add my watermark to the photos too. I am not photoshop savvy so I have no idea how to do batch watermarking. I will be trying one more out at the end of May and will report back. What everyone else has touched on is great and what you should be doing anyways. I'd honestly not worry about them coming after you or blackmailing after the fact. Considering these are less than reliable sources, I think, they got a booking better than what you had to offer. i.e an incall vrs an outcall, something closer to where they are located, or something longer. Like many have pointed out. If they are a provider and doing their own research, they will be less likely to book you using a text app and fake information. You do sound like you handled yourself well through the conversation. Other than doing a little more homework, a couple quick google searches (name & number) would help you in the long run. I'd say it was just a bad luck for today.
