I think the only way to combat this is to look out for each other by promoting the legitimate service providers.. If you meet someone, leave a recommendation. If it’s not a solid recommendation, just keep it positive “i saw ___ and although I prefer ___ if you are into ___ you may wish to see her”. If you had a bad experience… not it in the scam section.
