Ok, I am thinking that this might be a good polling question to differentiate between the guys and the gals, but I am guessing that a poll is not required because the answer is probably obvious.

On line shopping. Do you do it, and do you like it? Do you trust it?

For me, I LOVE online shopping. Anything that will mean that I do not have to tromp through a mall or a store is something good. Peruse at your own convenience, and delivery to your door.

My two favorite online stores have been, and they are pretty diametrically opposed I suppose, are LaSenza and Lee Valley. Go figure.

Betting that this is a Guys are from Mars and Women are from Venus question!

I have mainly shopped online for years. Many different reasons though.

When I first started about six years ago, it was mostly because the clothing I liked most wasn't available in Ottawa. That's changed a lot, but now since I barely go into stores, having someone follow me around and having to wait in line at the change room makes me cringe, so that is another reason I go online.

Most recently though my biggest reason is because I buy a lot of clothing that has been altered, so it's only available on ebay. Nothing like finding an old Suicidal Tendencies tshirt modified into a tight-fitted halter top :D

One web address that turns me on is spicylingerie. I no longer prefer the stores in the malls because there is never anything interesting. I have 5 drawers full of lingerie from 34C to 38 DD and the collection keeps growing. It's so much less stressful than going to a store. Some of those retail chicks are brutal where their attitudes are concerned.

WIT, you are SO correct. Rural PEI here and many of those sites that you mentioned I use regularly and hardly think of them as 'shopping'.

Some online, some off, for me.

I don't buy clothes online because I don't do so very often, and I find some manufacturers' inches are bigger than others, so I need to try stuff on.

And for some specialist things, I buy at my local store (even though it's more expensive) because I need the customer service occasionally, and I need it for things I maybe can't buy online, and I want it to stay in business so it's there when I need it.

But a lot of other stuff gets bought online.

So far, i limit my online shopping to iTunes for music. Beats having to buy one complete cd for a single song ... or try to find the unusual band at those big brand stores. Boy, do i miss record runner on rideau street !!!!

I buy weird things online that I can't find in town, or I'm too lazy to go get. Mostly off Ebay.

I just bought a Louise hat, from Bob's Burgers off Etsy.com.

All I heard was "tight-fitted" and I was sold ;)

I vary between shopping online or shopping in a store. Clothing I'll buy in stores. But for things like movies, music or books, if it's something rare and difficult to find, I'll get it online. Usually on ebay. But if it's a new movie, cd or book and I'm sure to find it in a store nearby, then I'll just go in and buy it. I'm relatively impatient. I do often order from chapters.indigo.ca though. If you're an indigo rewards member and you're spending over $30 per order online then shipping is free. Plus it ships from Mississauga so it usually comes in pretty quick.

I can't picture myself buying clothes online either (as mentioned in a previous post some companies have peculiar ways of measuring) would rather try stuff of and have alterations done where I bought the items. I do enjoy actual shopping in a retail store and would hate to see my favorite stores close down.

However in the past few years I have also gotten on the online shopping bandwagon to a degree...iTunes (of which I have generously partaken of) Amazon and EBay. like some others have said I like to look for hard to find items such as books, DVD etc which I likely would never have found in Ottawa.

The only thing I hate about online shopping is waking up, running to the mailbox to see if my package is there yet, and not finding it.

..hahha, I said package :p

I buy books online at Chapter.ca and Amazon. There's many books I can't find in the book stores I can only get from these places. I've shopped La Senza as well and The Shopping Channel for the showstoppers and specials that are of good value. It's nice to sit in your jammies and shop from your living room. I've been doing so for many years now.

I've been buying virtually everything on-line for the last 10 years. Food, clothing and gift cards are about the only things I still go out and buy "in person." Can't stand malls!
