rascal in ns 108 Report post Posted April 24 I recently texted a service provider, and she quoted her rate, and we agreed on the details, but when the appointment was made, she then mentioned she wanted to be paid with an Apple gift card in lieu of cash, citing risks of robbery or rape. I have never encountered this before and when I hesitated, she said it was a safe and legitimate method of payment and .I could do an e-transfer if I didn't want to do the gift card payment. Any suggestions? Is a gift card ok? On the surface it seems ok, while the e-transfer worries me, if she ghosts me. Any warning bells or anything I should be aware of? Just caught me off guard and I postponed the appointment, pending some feedback or assurances.
NotchJohnson 214071 Report post Posted April 24 From my experience gift cards are a no no, she will want you to give her the numbers behind the cards and then never get back to you with address of location. The only time I would do a a e-transfer would be with a reputable lady that has references. This would be to book the appointment and to confirm that you will show up. Many ladies get scammed as much as we do so it's a "do your research" thing. Just saying.
