I’m curious if any clients that have been scammed by the scammers want to share their story on how it happened. Or how they can tell if an ad is real or not.

I've come to the conclusion that about 90 per cent of the ads on Leolist are frauds. Some of them use the same pictures on the same city page, but under a different name, and they think we won't notice.

Also, with Leolist, you can scroll down to the bottom of the ad, and see if they've posted additional ads in different cities. Some girls will post in a whole bunch of places across the country at the same time.

I also read the headlines, and often different ads will use exactly the same wording. Or, if you get into the ad, the body of it will be identical to another ad.

You can always count on the Asians being frauds. They post pictures of attractive young women, but the door is opened by someone not even remotely similar to the girl in the ad. This also happens with other ethnicities... you'll answer an ad for a hot white girl, and a completely different (read ugly...) girl opens the door. I've gotten pretty good at just walking away, and then blocking that number.

Girls using Telegram and WhatsApp for contact tend to be frauds.  If there isn't a regular texting number, I've stopped responding.

I also stop communicating as soon as they ask for a "deposit". This should be called a "rip-off" instead. Sometimes, they'll ask for a deposit by e-transfer or PayPal right upfront, and I quit. Sometimes, they send you to a hotel, and before they give you the room number, they want you to pay by e-transfer. Neither works on me (after the first two times...).

Anyway,, It's disappointing that there are so many frauds, wrecking it for the legit girls.

Ohhh... and... the worst scams are when you get to a room, and the girl is real, so you pay the $250 or $300 and after they've got it tucked away they say, "OK, let's see your test results". You say "What?" and they say they're not going any further without test results showing you're clean. You say you don't have any test results to show them, and they say, "well then, you're shit out of luck bb". You ask for your money back, and they say that you have wasted their time and they're going out for a cigarette.

Or,, another one that some girls use is to get you in the door and take your $250, and then as things progress they say, "oh, no... that's an extra $200. You should know that...everybody knows that".

So then what do you do? Hit them over the head with a truncheon, and go looking for where they stashed your money?

Short story... most of them are scammers and frauds, and I'm being pretty careful now, which leads to a lot of empty trips.

Alot of reputable ladies ask for a deposit to secure their time and safety...

Probably... I'm not sure what a deposit does for their safety, but maybe their time is at least protected.

However... I often get asked for a "deposit" and I've paid one twice... to what looked like "reputable" ads... and been ripped off.

So, for me, ask for a deposit and I'm done...

There is no positive correlation between deposits and safety/authenticity of a SP. Perhaps a moderate negative correlation, but certainly not positive. With the ability in 2026 to steal pictures, AI, catfishing, etc it is lunacy to send deposits. Recently in the NS section we had a long term, highly reputable, well reviewed (I myself may have provided her first reco) Lyla member go rogue and scam multiple members of deposits. No deposits for me. Ever. Don't care who it is.

Everyone has a choice though. Just understand the trade off. You're limiting access to a segment of clients that are perhaps wiser and safer.

Shoutout and happy new year to Danielle who was my first ever escort way back [REDACTED] years ago!

I'd rather lose out on clients than to have my time wasted and deal with crazy men ...my safety matters just as much as yours

There are men that will send without hesitation and those that complain and argue about sending rather than just contact Someone that doesn't ask for one

And thankyou same to you😊

I'm curious about how you think your safety is assured by getting a deposit...??

Surely, someone could pay you a deposit, meet up with you, and cause you harm... how is your safety assured?

Safety comes from trust to be able to send it. It gives us links to private information should legal means be necessary in events of harms. It also give us connection to the name you've provided us, the ID (for those that ask) and the account you send it from. Someone willing to provide one or all of the above information is less likely to harm then someone that is unknown.

Nothing is ever 100% safe. Everything has risks, we weigh and measure the risks against what we want. Driving, walking, hiking, the food and drinks we consume, medications, ect. We take steps to make sure our time, energy, bodies and mental health are safe for those that want to truly spend time with us. Deposits are fantastic for securing that.

Yes, we have had terrible events happen to some that have caused them to go down a hard path. That states, imo, they are no longer reputable. I feel sorry for whatever position they are in to cause them to do that but that doesn't blanket statement for everyone. Our business leads very strongly on integrity. Which is very hard to find anywhere in current character traits of many individuals. If we were still apart of a society that allowed for integrity and a person was honest about their promises and words, we wouldn't need deposits, IDs ect. But we are faced with a very cynical world and we all must take precautions to keep ourselves safe.

This why reputable providers have a good client base because we are deemed with enough integrity and positivity in our interactions clients keep returning. Once you have one or two SPs that you enjoy spending time with, stick with them. I can promise you the interaction, experience and time together keeps getting better! 🥰

That's all fine, but I'd still be taking a major risk when a new SP asks me for a deposit. I've only provided that twice, and was ripped off both times... hence my cynicism. And, no more deposits.

It's gotten to the point where about 95% of the SPs advertising on Leolist, Locanto and other sites are frauds. You see them advertising in several cities around the country at the same time. They're easy to spot. You also see the same person advertising with different pictures but the same phone number on the same page. They're easy to spot, because their headlines and most of their ad is the same. American phone numbers are a giveaway. So are ridiculously low fees.

"Verified" ads aren't much help... I've answered a couple of verified ads for a cute Caucasian girl, and an old Asian has opened the door.

You can't be too careful about being ripped off these days, and deposits are just (in my experience...) part of that problem.

Maybe what we need is a better website, where the members are carefully screened (both sides) and there is some assurance of honesty. That would make this whole process less fraught with danger.

You seem to answer all your own questions of why you shouldn't send a deposit. All of this has been discussed in great lengths on this board.

NEW, no history, minimal advertising, low rates - these aren't reputable individuals.
If they are new and requesting a deposit. They better have a website, multiple advertising platforms (bare minimum local board, leo, tryst, massagerepublic), Socials like X or bluesky, snapchat or IG. Bonus if they have OF or a fans page.
Otherwise they haven't built their reputation yet and shouldn't be getting a deposit. or you risk losing however much you put forth.

Low end sites - Remember they are in the marketing business. They do not care who is advertising as long as they are making their money. They are also good for having filler ads so those paying, have to pay more, more often to stay relevant. Verified on these sites are require before you can open an account and it's just a paper with a body. The low-end sites don't have the time to track or care about individual ads.

Better Sites - Lyla.ch ,  massagerepbulic, tryst.link   - I just had to submit heavier verification for tryst so they can fight the scams on their site.

We don't need more overlords for how to conduct our businesses. We need people to remember it's a person on either side and go back to building our society with trust. When I started, I didn't need deposits. People would show up when they said they would 90% of the time. Now, IF I don't take a deposit they are 90% guaranteed not to show up. I take a "hefty" deposit as I have found anything under $100 is still 50/50 for them to show up or not. I've also had to up my deposits to 25% on longer bookings. I'm not stealing deposits. I want my time accounted for and respected like any professional.
