Paradise Spa 24019 Report post Posted September 7, 2011 Just thinking back of when we first became members on cerb and had a few chuckles....I remember poor Mod saying read read read the rules Angie after warnings and infraction and all this new stuff to learn. I was a pain in his behind sorry Mod but I thank you for your patience. I caught myself today commenting on a thread speculating without re-reading the rules (that I have went over a million times) ha ha. A BIG Bell was going off in my head and it was MOD read read the rules Angie. This got me thinking I have learned a great deal of discipline within this community. I kinda feel like a kid and Mod is a parent keeping me in-line. And if ya misbehave there is consequences for your actions. Cerb has been a journey for me :) We never stop learning and growing. And I just wanted to share today and thanks Mod and this community for helping me on my journey......you all know who you are! Well, all that changed... I went away for a couple of years and come back to find a board with thousands of members in all different cities. It's great to be here with such nice members. It was started back in 2001 (I think) we did not start it ... it was started by a guy names Mark (in Vancouver) and was part of the localescorts.ca website. We purchased the site from him and in 2003 and we separated the site from localescorts and cerb was born later that year. We than upgraded to the software that we use today in 2004 (after the old software was hacked badly as the original software it ran on was FREE software and not secure) ... More related history from a 2006 post by mod: Escorts-Canada (as far as we know) is the oldest escort directory online in Canada. Escorts-Canada was developed in 1997 in Vancouver by a gentleman named Doug. I believe the second site in Canada (that gained any popularity) was torontoexotics (I believe it was 1997) and then the redzone I believe started in 1999. Before Escorts-Canada was lyla.com (Started Dec 1996 I believe as a discussion BBS Style forum & portal much like cerb is today. Lyla.com included a directory of escorts (Later became integrated into escorts-canada) and also included industry links for service providers - originally run by lyla AKA Joyful Spirit) Others from "Back in the day" were adultcanada (Run by Dave) and xxxoticdirect.com (Also now owned by escorts-canada). Escorts-canada now owns and operates Lyla.com as well as Localescorts.ca and this site you are currently on cerb.ca. I am not 100% sure of the dates... I am going by memory and online records so the dates could be off but I am 99.9% sure lyla.com and escorts-canada.com were the original escort directories here in Canada. I really enjoy Cerb as well. To be honest, I don't remember when I joined - I joined up, had to leave for a bit and rejoined again, so it's a bit muddled in my memory. After hitting on a lady that I was interested in meeting I reviewed her website and found an odd link to a site known as Cerb??? Naturally I clicked the icon and away I went into my virtual phone booth and pulled a Clark Kent transformation into Stevecurious. The rest of the story you can read from all of my posts since then. What drew me in right away was the immense community feeling I got. All the welcomes and comments really made me feel like I belonged. I still feel that way today, and I know that will never change. To me CERB is a big sexy family, and although there are heated discussions, and squabbles within the "home" we are a big family, and it all works out! This is why I love it here. It was a really slow begining as I'm generally shy .. joined April 2010 and wasn't actively seeing anyone till about .. mmm December? I read trough most post without saying anything. Then .. i found this live chat feature ha ha ha (now kind of addicted to it as some of you know :| ) It was from chat I met my very first CERB lady, super last minute .. very exciting fun encounter. She made me feel very comfortable to the hobby instantly. Few more encounter with the different ladies, and wow CERB is amazing place to meet ladies with huge heart and very bright minds. The diversity makes CERB a great community, not everyone have the same perspective on things discussion and debate happens but at the end of the day everyone hugs each other and ... Despite what you can see that I join August 2004...(mod made a mistake once and merge my account with someone else)...I was a young lass at the time...new to the site...posting add saying Hi guys I am available today from x time to x time Pm me or give me a call! Now at least i know a little bit better! When I started...I didn't have the chance to do some duos. I take time each day to read, learn, laugh, sometimes cry, post, learn some more. I think more than anything else, CERB has taught me how to be a gentleman. I know it sounds silly, but the wise women of CERB, through their patient posts, thick skins, and sometimes direct posts, have taught me how to give myself permission to want pleasure and how to do so while respecting providers of all kinds. Don't remember how I happened to come across that site but it was a nice discovery. At one point, I was the 4th most active contributor! However, many have taken me over since. Because of personal situations, I am more in the background now but I come here once in a while to stay informed and contribute the best I can. It is a great community that I would almost call a family. Like any family, there are ups and downs but in the end, they always stick together...
