suburb1 153 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 OK, just weird, is this for real? Do we all need therapy? X-Files? star David Duchovny, 48 , who currently plays a womanizing writer on the cable television series ?Californication,? said on Thursday he has entered a facility for treatment of sex addiction. In January, he won a Golden Globe Award as best comic actor for playing an oversexed single dad and novelist struggling with writer?s block in the Showtime series ?Californication. ?I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction,? he said in a statement released through his lawyer, Stanton ?Larry? Stein. ?I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.?
Guest E**a Report post Posted September 9, 2008 Caveh Zahedi made a movie called "I am a sex addict" in which he describes how he discovered his addiction and overcame it. I thought that it was pretty interesting. http://www.cavehzahedi.com/films_sex.html

ulixestrojan 3757 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 Want sex - become a public speaker in "helping" fields such as health and education. Imagine a room filled with 5000 people, of which 4800 are women and they are all focused on what you say. In ten years, I have never not had a woman come up and introduce herself and offer her "appreciation". The sex is easy. The supposed relationship that may or develop is more complicated. Addiction is a tough word - do I think about sex every day - yes. Do I think about it every hour - pretty much. Do I want it - yes. Must I have it - well, in adequate doses on a regular basis. What is regular - well...that is more complicated isn't it. If I have a 28 hour session of unlimited access with lots of endorphin milking - I am good for most of the week as the psyche and body heal. Vanilla ejaculation - well that is sort like breathing, isn't it. Do I need help? Well, I have deck that needs to be finished, the garage is not the colour I like, and my car needs winter tires. T**-D*** 100 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2707&highlight=ADDICTION These are words of great wisdom whether we want to believe them or not. There are many addictions in this world, and hobbying in its various forms is one of them. Ultimately, the only solution is castration or perhaps medications ... I've just become ensnared again with a destitute black student who played me like a violin in 2006 and 2007. She's already sucked $3,300.00 out of me in the last two weeks to get the collection agencies off her back and, so far, she's given me nothing more than 2 handjobs ..... Yes, we're talking big-time addiction here. Can anyone lend me a Colt 45 (metallic version) ... ?! And I'm supposed to be a highly educated person (PhD) .... capitalman 3861 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 I wouldn't call that addiction, I call that stupid. Put your money into a recommended lady from CERB, you'll feel much better. There's hope for you yet Tip-Drill...don't worry.

Ya it has been my experience that we give what are willing to loose. In a case like this I would challenge the lady and simply lay your cards on the table, tell her you are willing client however service first, money after and pay what you think she is worth not what she needs, it's not likely she will freeload from the next sugar daddy, there aren't enough dummies out there. Guest f***2f*** Report post Posted September 9, 2008 My name is Boner and I'm a sex addict. Rather than see this as a problem I like to think of it as an opportunity. I get to help young sps out with their financial goals and I can live a life where I have fewer regrets. thanks for listening. :-D

Many thanks for your valued encouragement. I know I have a problem. I used to gamble on horses before I emigrated from the UK in 1968 and then I gambled at casinos for a couple of years when I arrived in Edmonton, Alberta. I finally settled down after I got married in 1969 but my life went "off-track" in 2001 when I discovered "Black Magic" and I tried to catch up with all those things I had missed out on in my teens and twenties. I now have a two-year old child to prove it, but I would never complain about that. The only wise decision I made was not to get divorced, although I'm currently separated. Yep, when you think about it, CERB ladies are the very best value in town, even at $300+ an hour ....

We are motivated to do what we do for different reasons. I believe that with the history between you and this individual, she has discovered an avenue to penetrate your emotional defenses and is taking advantage of it. It is likely easier said than done - but you need to cut ties with the person and get on with YOUR life. Does this make you an addict - no. Did you exercise bad judgment - yes. It is human to exercise bad judgment from time to time - we all do it. Get out now before you get fleeced even more! My apologies - I believed I hijacked this thread on "what is the treatment for sex addiction" -by posting specifically on Tip-Drill's situation. Sorry. Edited September 10, 2008 by Seymour clarify relevance of the post.
capitalman 3861 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 In the 1920's and prior, the only known treatment for alcoholism was a religious experience or permanent incarceration. I believe the same applies to sex addiction. If you take the religious route you're likely to find a very friendly "Father"...so I don't know about that. Incarceration...a very friendly cellmate. Don't like that option either. I think CERB is the only viable answer! :)
