Thus far in this lifestyle, the type of lady that appeals to me is between 25 to 50, blonde, brunette and redhead, different body types.

When I started hobbying the general criteria was to locate a mature lady of a certain age who was confident in her sexuality. It is as castle and roamingguy have stated: if you want someone who interests you, make contact and follow up.

 

Lately, having begun exploring and pushing the boundaries, there is a plethora of ladies to choose from. Race is not necessarily a deciding factor. Whether the lady be Asian, South American, European or even Canadian is of no import. There are a lot of racist stereotypes in porn and the sex industry such as the "primitive" Black man with the huge swingin' dick, and the submissive, young Asian (often a schoolgirl).

I agree that the demand for variety influences the demand for different ethnicities.

 

There have been a couple of threads here in the East Coast forums, in which the lack of Asian providers in this area is bewailed. These discussions might leave the impression that Asians are more sought after than they otherwise would really be, all things being equal. They seem all the more desirable because there are so few here. On the West Coast, on the other hand, I've heard it said that Caucasian providers tend to be more highly prized, which I presume would be because there are so many Asians there.

 

Back to the demand for variety: Asia is a big place, and there are a bunch of different Asian ethnicities and bodytypes. For example, certain fairly common Far East Asian bodytypes (petite, delicate) are less prevalent among Caucasians. I also agree with what Megan said about the "submissive" cultural stereotype - this likely plays a part. And I also agree with the "young/innocent-appearance" aspect also having an influence; facial features of certain Asian types tend to make them seem younger than they actually are. Those clients who enjoy those particular aspects might be drawn to Asians based on these factors, rather than simply the ethnicity itself.

 

Having speculated about all that, I personally enjoy all sorts of ladies, each for who they uniquely are. And although variety is very attractive to me, in practice I tend to mostly stick with the ladies I've already grown to know, and whom I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate.

I find that many men that I have seen have been recommended by SP friends of mine who are from every different ethnicity and base their recommendation upon personal relationships... the only time i was hired most in a strange coincidence was when I worked in Toronto and about 60% of my clients were Asian....did they feel more comfortable booking a girl who was slightly asian? who knows....but I doubt that their fantasies played into booking a lady who was asian as something exotic to their culture.

In most of Canada, we live in a white-dominated culture, so when most white people talk, whiteness will be the standard. If one white guy is physically describing somebody to another white guy, the second white guy will likely assume the person being described is white until they hear otherwise. In most white Canadian people's minds, being non-white is still considered an exception, so it is the type of thing that will get noticed and mentioned.

 

I grew up in a neighbourhood that was very multi-ethnic. So I feel like I don't notice race as much. When I was young I always found it a bit odd that my mum would really point out the race of different people. Not in a hateful way, it was just something she would really notice and feel was important to mention. But my mum grew up in a small village in Germany where everybody was white and German. So for her, seeing a black person was really exotic.

 

And I think there's lots of people in Canada like this too. Lots of Canadians come from villages where everybody is white, and so if the first time they ever interacted with a non-white person was when they were in their late teens, then race will probably always be something they notice. In their minds, white will probably always be the standard and anything else will be considered exotic or different, and non-white will definately pick up this. So non-white SPs and porn will be promoted based on their race as some sort of exotic feature, whereas white will be treated as the standard. You'll see porn that will be titled something like "Asian Love Fest" or "Big Black Love", but if it's a porn movie with all white girls they won't call it "White Girl Love Party".
