And those are all terrific, admirable reasons for you to shave yourself, RG. I'm not at all putting you down for that. I'm sure many SPs do thank you.

I have also been known to comment appreciatively on a pair of nicely shaved balls, but that doesn't mean that I enjoy sucking them or playing with them any more or less than I do someone natural. What can I say? I'm very oral.

If an SP truly finds oral with someone unshaved unpleasant or would hate it to the point of it refusing to provide oral or having it interfere with her quality of service, then I think she has a responsibility to disclose this prior to meeting with someone, wouldn't you agree?

I just don't want men here to feel that they have to be shaved, or be repugnant to SPs. That's simply not true.

I'm sorry Joyful c but I have to disagree with you. I will refuse to go down on a pair of hairy balls. I consider this to be a ymmv thing and I don't feel the need to tell every client this. I do think that hairy balls/dick does effect service and yes it does get in the way. Nothing worse than dental flossing with someones pubes.

I am not completely shaved but I have a well trimmed patch of hair. The gentlemen don't have to be completely bald but at least trimmed would be nice.

For some reason I do find it cleaner down there when shaved. It is easier to clean, faster to clean and you don't have to go through hair to get to parts.

Well my last word on the matter. First, there is a little clause in SP's website's, YMMV. That to me is sort of covers the disclosure aspect. Otherwise a provider in her website would have to cover every eventuality/condition prior to an encounter so a gentleman knows whether he will receive a certain service. I have not received this sort of disclosure from any lady prior to an encounter. Not to mention, most of the ladies I see don't even have a menu, you meet the lady and the encounters unfolds naturally. There really isn't an expectation of a specific service if you read the lady's website. And an encounter with myself and a lady will not be the same as an encounter with another gentleman and that same lady...every encounter is unique. That's another aspect of YMMV, don't expect the same as some other gentleman. Your encounter will be special and unique to you and the lady, not part of a script that every client will have the same experience. But really, if that's a concern, the gentleman in making the appointment for the encounter should ask if he should be shaved or not. It's not up to the lady make all enquiries to cover every eventuality for an encounter IMHO

And a lady may perform oral on an unshaven man because she is a professional. She may not like having hair in her mouth, but as a professional she provides the service. But not liking oral on an unshaven man doesn't imho make the lady less professional. As I stated, the one lady, very much a professional, not to mention a great lady and SP, always, always, thanks me for shaving. Don't know if she refuses to do oral on unshaven men (knowing her the way I do, can't imagine it) but she appreciates a shaven man

That's the end of my ramblings on the subject

Peachy, as long as you're honest and upfront about it, making sure that a new customer knows this before he meets with you, that's fine.

I'm not a huge fan of the YMMV disclaimer, though. I don't think it's fair to take someone's money, then blindside him with an excuse for why he doesn't qualify to receive quality service. Especially over something so natural.

I have been completely shaved for years. I would never change. It makes for a more pleasurable event. It is received well by the SP's I have visited with. It adds more pleasure for all in the oral department. I find it is much more pleasurable and sensitive shaved. I had one Lady who never did BLS until I showed up shaved I thought she was never going to STOP. That's why my name is Shaved.

I don't tell new clients this. Most of my clients are shaved and I think ymmv explains enough. I explain enough on my website and adds. I think that if I start adding things like no hairy balls or explaining to new clients that I don't suck on hairy balls it will start to sound silly and outlandish. I think ymmv is a great way of explaining that ymmv when it comes to hygiene, shaving, clipping of nails ect. It is up to the client to be well groomed and if he is not well groomed for some reason it will effect the service. So ymmv is a polite way of saying that instead of listing all the things expected.

However I don't think ymmv is an excuse to give a poor service. Or in anyway is it an excuse to treat a client badly. I just think there are things that will naturally effect the service in some way and hairy balls to me is one of them.

I don't think I am being any less honest by not being forthcoming about this subject to every client or every new client because ymmv is a common term used by many escorts.

Most are completely shaved? Interesting, I wonder what the average age of your clients are. I realize that there are older gents (my age and older) who do completely shave but I will only add that not that long ago, 10 years or so??? this conversation doesn't happen. I realize that it's been longer than 10 years since people have been shaving genitals but I don't think, and I could be wrong, that 10 years ago a lady would say most of her clients are shaved.

I do some manscaping but have not had the balls yet to run a razor across my balls.

I do think this is a newer trend. My ex-gf's weren't shaved, but then again neither was I. I even knew (not Biblically) some women who didn't shave at all (armpits, legs) And take a look at some older Playboys, the centerfolds weren't shaved. In fact in my case I started shaving when I entered into this lifestyle.

I'm no world traveler but isn't it common for some ladies in European countries to be au natural?

It was when I was there, but that was back circa 1979-1980 when I was in the Forces. Don't know about today. But if I had the money to afford to travel overseas to find out, I'd get a hotel in Toronto, Ottawa, Maritimes, Vancouver and Winnipeg and have encounters with a few CERB ladies :-)

Sorry kind of buzzed through but to whomever is going to try sugaring instead of waxing the pain is exactly the same and its much, much more difficult to sugar balls as there is so much excess skin down there. I actually took a sugaring course a couple years ago and we were told never to sugar balls or a neck because the skin is so sensetive there (and neck hair grows in so many different directions)

I have been shaving for about 5 years now. I shave my balls clean but keep a short growth around the rest. It is easy to do in the shower while lathered up. My wife helps me with this to get to the spots that are hard to reach. Very trusting sole I am. I have found that most of the ladies appreciated the trimming.

If she finds out you are on this board do you think her hand might slip the next time she helps you shave your balls?

I agree with you 10 years ago many people may not have shaved. Shaving may be a new trend and I would not be able to say that most of my clients are shaved. I still would not put pubes in my mouth. I don't know for sure but I think in ten years the style of service has changed as well. To a more friendlier type of service. Where you could request an escort to do this or that. Where as before you had a set list of things to choose from and that's it.

Also a newer thing is the internet. It is a great marketing tool for both escorts and gentlemen. I would never escort on the streets. I only want to see gentlemen and to me a good gentleman knows how to groom himself.

A well trimmed down there does not need a razor to be down there. A pair of good scissors will do. A man does not need to be bald but at least trimmed is appreciated.

I use a shaver with a guard on it, for the patch of hair I have. The razor part does not touch my parts at all.

To me ymmv is still applied to this kind of situation because it has to do with grooming. Keeping your hair is your choice. I'm just saying that it is the ladies choice to not want to have your hair in her mouth. I don't think that because a lady does not want pubs in her mouth she is providing less of a service and I think ymmv is a great way to describe this kind of situation.

I don't know, my female friends always say hairless guys creep them out. I'm a firm believer in man-scaping. Just shave everything down so it's neat but not bald.

You're female friends may think that, on the other hand many MA's and SP's I visit say the exact opposite, and I have been told they prefer the shaved look. As it is more appealing to them, clean looking, and it might lead to further fun for me. "To each their own". I think when you bike, walk, jog it feels much more comfortable then having to itch that sweaty area.

My two cents on the subject.

This has been discussed in great detail here over the years, as I said, "to each their own"

Are any of the guys who shave here married? If so, how do you explain this to your wives? Especially if you're not very sexually active with them at this point.

My husband and I are still very active, but even if we weren't, we spend enough time walking around naked that I'd certainly notice if one day his balls turned up bald as cue balls! I can't see any wife overlooking a detail like this.

First, no not married. But besides the sexual aspect of shaving, it is much more cool and comfortable to be shaven than unshaven. Even if I stopped seeing ladies and left this lifestyle, became a monk and never saw a woman again, I'd still shave. It is simply for me at least, much more comfortable. The bonus, in my experience, women seem to prefer it

I shave and I am married. But it is easy to explain because I have been doing it forever and was shaved when we met. I shave on a regular basis and she does not question why. Guess I am lucky that way.

The only time I shaved was for my vasectomy. I kept it going for a while but found the whole experience hot, sweaty and itchy.

I also remember gym class as a source of much angst as I was younger/later than most of my classmates - the last thing I wanted was less hair down there!

Modern society is hard to understand sometimes - we have everyone calling for 'back to nature' yet something as natural as hair is dismissed as 'un-hygienic'.

That being said, I do trim.

Thank you for this clarification regarding shaving and trimming. To me shaving is with a razor (or an electric shaver) and is normally done down to baldness. I find it difficult or squeamish to shave the balls bald because of the texture and tenderness. Instead, I trim the whole area using the trimmer in my electric shaver making sure it does not touch the skin. Doing this needs a bit of practice and patience.

I am glad this trimming meets your standard, Peachy, ;).

Having hair down there for the first time in fifteen years or more, I haven't found it to be uncomfortable at all yet. Certainly less itchy than shaved. It feels soft and intriguing to the touch, so much so I can't keep my hands off it. (The kitties are getting jealous.)

Over the years that I was shaved, it did cause me embarrassment on a few occasions. I ended up in ERs a couple times with broken bones requiring surgical treatment. There was always an awkward moment of silence (and slightly audible gasp) when it was first noticed that my little pussy was of the hairless variety.

Another time, we had started swimming at a local community pool. I got to know some of the women there around my own age, and one day, we all left the pool at the same time and went back to the showers. I stripped off my bathing suit, just like the other gals, thinking nothing of it. Everyone had been talking and laughing up to that point, but a hush fell over my swim companions, and some pointed looks were exchanged. I was so mortified, I wished I could get sucked down the drain. (When I'm not working, I'm actually very modest. I could be voted the Woman Least Likely To Have Had Premarital Sex by most people who know me outside the business.)

I know from personal experience that people make certain assumptions when they see a shaved public region. So I can understand why there would be guys who just wouldn't want to have that going on, with everything from spouses to medical staff to anyone who might see them naked. Shaved balls are nice if they're very closely shaved. (Otherwise, it's a bit like scrubbing your tongue with sandpaper.) And I can't say for others, but for me, hair down there isn't going to turn me off or make me less playful. Poor hygiene --will-- do that! But I don't equate having natural pubic hair with poor hygiene. I equate being unwashed with poor hygiene.

Additional Comments:

I should note too that a couple of those trips to the ER occurred when the HIV/AIDS hysteria was on in full bloom, and people were shit freaking terrified that they were going to sit next to someone HIV+ on a bus and catch it. So I do believe that there were times when health care professionals saw that I was shaved, that they jumped to the conclusion that I was also probably a strong possibility for being HIV+. Yeesh!
