Negotiating Rates???

Recommended Posts

I'm saddened to hear what these A-holes were even calling you. IMAO I think you should raise your prices because the GFE experience you provide is worth much more than what you are currently charging. Maybe if you were to raise the rates, your phone may not ring as much, but then the type of customer that you are attracting with your low rates won't bother calling.

It's just my opinion and you know what I say about opinions. They are like A-holes everybody's got one.

In the last few weeks I've received a couple of emails from people trying to negotiate my rates. In both cases, I politely reminded them that my rates are non-negotiable, which is clearly stated on my website (several times). I also reminded them that my rates are already some of the lowest around and are very reasonable. Well, both times I received very nasty replies.

One person called me chubby (the exact word I use in my ads...lol) and useless. The other called me an elephant and said that he doesn't f**k around with fat chicks. Then WHY was he coming to ME in the first place??? I am very upfront about the fact that I have extra padding. *sigh* Some people are just pathetic.

You got to be freaking joking, why in the world would anyone want to haggle your price down? Shit I have visited your site a few times, and wished that you were living Ottawa at those rates and service listed!

Now I know why some of the ladies from Montreal love coming to Ottawa, they are treated excellent.

You lovely ladies from Montreal take far too much crap from guys in Montreal haggling over prices, you are correct-pathetic.

Ava we would await you in Ottawa with open arms! ;)

I had a client come today whos name wont be mentioned but he knows who he is...and I have also had this a few other times as well...They come to you...then they give you the money and you look at them and say this is not how much we talked about...Oh well this is the price I heard...After a few minutes they pull out more out of their pocket...Then I say "Get out" clearly youve had the money in your pocket the whole time and your just trying to see what a lower price is gonna get you. We book by scheduled timely appts...So by you doing that you are messing up the schedule.,..Others want to book and cant because you have came and screwed around...It pisses me off cuz they say oh I saw ur ad...well then u saw my price and you talked to me on the phone and heard it as well....They say oh im not cheap maybe youll see me again...Fat chance...Once a confrontational issue like that arises I dont allow them back....Its like going into a store you know how much it is asking the person to lower the price for you isnt gonna make them give it to you they will tell you leave also. And at the end of the day they look like an idot.

Unfortunately this world has many people who like to put down other people to make them feel better about themselves.

This happens in the discussion boards all the time and is a big reason why we do not allow any negative comments here. When I see someone like that I just boot them, they are not welcome here and are just a sad waste of space.

You need thick skin to survive in a business like this. People will judge you from your outside in and some abusive people will prey on anything that may break you.

It can be a very shallow business but it can also be very rewarding if you can shrug off the jerks.

The guy making the intentionally hurtful comments (or the girl pretending to be the guy who may see you as competition) probably has a lot deeper issues and your just the person to pick on for the day to make them feel better about themselves. It really is even more pathetic since the person is hiding behind that anonymity of a email and a alias.

...applauds Mod!

Hear, hear!

Ava, I'm astounded by what you report. I've had a bit of that, but not often. I'm a big girl, myself. I don't apologize for it. I tell the truth on my website and in my advertising, like you do. Whatever these guys are upset about, it's not us. I think they're projecting their own self-hatred.

Angeleyes it sounds like you've been handling those jerks very well. I've never had that problem, but I'm beginning to think it's just luck.

Here is the wording I have placed on my website regarding attempts at negotiation. One of my very first clients was a whiny gentleman who had a reputation for trying to bargain with women all the time. I tolerated it once and will never tolerate it again. He was the inspiration for these words placed up on my website.

My rates are my rates for my time. Period. I will never show up and ask for extra money for additional services. In return, you must understand that my rates are non-negotiable. Asking for discounts or attempting to "bargain" with me is not appreciated or ever accommodated. If you have any questions about my value, please refer to my testimonials page.

I have never and will not never ask for a discount from any SP or Courtesan. I usually end up leaving more money on the table either as a tip or a bring special gifts. I have however been offered a lower rates to come see them more often and I've refused the discount. I'm flattered that they want to see me more often but for me it has nothing to do with price. If I want to experience the girl I will gladly pay her what she is asking and nothing less. Whether its $120 or $1000hr. I do a considerable amount of homework before choosing a lady whether its studying her website or talking to her directly so I know in advance what I'm getting into, how much it will cost and what services I can expect. I've noticed that some ladies do offer a paid up front for X number of sessions at a discounted rate which I think is really smart and would personally support. It gives the SP money up front, gives me better or preferential time slots and of course incentive to go back. I think everyone wins.

I agree with everyone else on this issue. Honestly, If saving money was my major concern, I would not be able to enjoy the quality of service that I do.

Although, I did once negotiate rates with a lady under the following circumstance, Had just enjoyed a most delightful hour and was hoping to extend it with the money I had left over. The lady was extremely nice about the whole thing and obliged my request. The key being that the discount was obviously not my driving concern at the time simply my desire for more time.

I have a regular customer who has been coming to see me for over five years. I have raised the price since then and told him, but he is too cheap, so I gave up and keep seeing him for the old price...

But every time he says he just came back from golfing in Palm Springs I am thinking "you cheap old fart, you can afford Palm Springs but you are saving money on me" ;)

He still gets the same good massage and I can count on an income from him, but I would never want to marry him or have him as a friend. I detest cheap rich people. :(

That is how he got to be a "rich old fart". Unfortunately, many of these people are unable to change their mindset once they have made it. I often wonder about their quality of life. I am sure we all know people who died millionaires, yet no one knew they were that wealthy until after they died. I don't expect these people to go and blow it and spend lavishly, but many continue to live a life of unnecessary deprivation while saving a fortune for a rainy day.

I have had this happen a few time's I am very nice with saying no and if this means I have lost a client so be it!, he's not the type of guy I am looking to meat up with anyway. I always say my VIP's have had to earn those price's and it would be unfair of me to allow someone I've never spent time with to cash in before they've earned a discount, by treating me with the respect I deserve.

Always SweetKaty xxx ooo

I have spent time over the years with a wide variety of EPs who've have offered a wide variety of services and price ranges.

I always pay the rate given. If I don't like the rate, I will say thanks for the info and go elsewhere. If I'm not completely satisfied, I won't repeat. But I will never complain about the rate, even when I'm less than satisfied or the services were not exactly as advertised. (Sometimes, even if I'm completely satisfied, I won't repeat, because I get bored easily. lol)

If I'm looking for a lower rate on a particular occasion, I will shop around for that rate but never ask anyone to lower their rates.

I give my long-term fave a premium over whatever her regular rates currently are. She's never asked me to do that, I just do it out of respect and affection. (This is in addition to little gifts and surprises.) Occasionally, we've come up with a more imaginative approach to a particular service. She'll suggest a premium for that and I pay it.

I don't really want to complicate enjoyable, pleasant relationships with insulting and demeaning financial hassles. If you can't pay the price, don't play the game.

You couldn't have said it more perfectly.

I had a few whiners that I politely tolerated when I first began in this industry. I would never tolerate it now. I almost always go above and beyond the call of duty and give every man his money's worth and more. At this point I truly consider it an insult when someone even mentions the possibility of asking for a discount.

here here!

i believe I posted some time ago a conversation I had with a new potential client where he heard my prices and then asked "hmm......do you have anything cheaper?"

i remember thinking to my self jokingly "well you could suck my toe for 15 mind for what you're willing to pay"

when I started I used to waste my phone time and text and emails on people who would try and barter, I would abide and then they would decline....probably simply for the thrill of seeing what they could get or wanting to hear some "little girl" sound desperate.

Heck my last prospect tried to barter with me trying to get sympathy that he was roughing it in the dough department coz he just got married...so he couldn't cough up the entire donation.

Needless to say he did not acquire my sympathy

There are some "clients" who prey on new SPs and take advantage of their "niceness" in wanting to attract new clients. New SPs are generally more willing to be kind and polite when gentlemen prey on them for discounts and try to negotiate.

For all new SPs, please realize that certain "clients" make a career out of whining about their "financial woes" to see how much money they can get away with not paying.

There are SPs who charge all different fee rates and don't think for a second these "whiners" aren't aware of what the fees are.

If a gentleman can't afford it, don't call an SP. It's as simple as that.

YS, I think it would be wonderful if we could have you cloned.

Seriously, if a companion's rates are too high for a client, he can shop around. Never assume that we haven't done our research. We have very good reasons for setting our rates as we do. There are always other companions available in the area who charge less than we do. We know that. We charge what the market will bear.

If a man can't afford my fee, that's not my fault and I don't worry about it. I turn away many more prospective clients than I agree to see.

Sometimes there are factors quite unknown to the caller that affect the rates; he tends to think that because someone else charges 250 and you charge 300 you should also charge 250. You, however, may have to pay 100 for your incall, whereas she pays nothing or 40-50 for her space. You may have a driver/security at a higher rate, whereas she is doing an incall or has no driver. There are many such things, including setting rates that specifically relate to the quality of the experience and to separate oneself into that specific category of clients.

There is a member of the other west coast boards who got himself blacklisted for continuously trying to rate negotiate. On one day he pmed 2 different sps who have two different half hour rates. His offer reduced both their respective rates by 20-25 less than their hh rate, citing lack of funds.

However, one of the ladies rates is 25 more than the other.

So he was able to pay her 125, but only had 100 for the other sp?

That is the value of sharing info in the private areas, that's for sure. This can be discussed amongst the escorts, rather than thru pms which don't access as many people. Everyone now knows to avoid this individual (there are other things, such as pushing boundaries and repeated talking about bbfs that added to this list, but rate reduction is the MO)

Exactly. A complicated concept ... it isn't.
