Growing up in the free loving 70s and then getting into the hobby at a fairly young age I would shudder if I knew the total. I was a man slut before I knew there was a hobby! Now I'm trying to catch Wilt Chamberlain .... I think I'll run out of money tho .... he got most of his for free!

It's interesting that 75% of those responding so far are at 150 life-time partners or less - most way, way less. We are a conservative bunch here.

 

It would also be interesting to do a poll on how many CERB members have actually seen an escort. One escort who's been a member here quite awhile once told me she thought probably only something like 1 in 5 of members had. The rest are just lurkers and wannabes who get off on the topics discussed on this web board. Don't know if that's true or not and, frankly, I don't really care.

I'm definitely a male slut. I started visiting SPs because after I became single, it was less complicated than dealing with the aftermath of casual pickups - "What, you don't want to see me again?"

 

I continued visiting SPs because my favourite ladies were much much nicer than casual pickups - "Hey, it's great to see you again".

By the way, here's an interesting stat from a Macleans magazine article last year:

 

"Canadian men claim an average of 23 sex partners in a lifetime, almost double the number claimed by U.S. males, and Canadian women claim 10 partners, compared to nine for Americans (so okay, the men might be exaggerating a bit)."

Those lifetime numbers for men and women seem awfully low to me. I passed that combined number before I hit 15! Pretty sad actually, can't imagine only having 23 partners in a lifetime!

Well, before I got divorced and started doing this, my lifetime number could have been counted on one hand. Now, I'm probably at the average for men. So had I stayed married (could've happened!), I would be bringing the average down. Then take your stick-in-the-mud, church going folk who wait until marriage and stay with that partner, there's a whole bunch with a grand total of 1 that brings the average down more. And no doubt there's enough physically/mentally/socially unappealing people out there that live their entire life as virgins so that big fat zero drives it further down.

 

Out of the people that I personally know well, none of them fall into that 1 or 0 category. And sure enough, you probably don't know too many of them either...because we don't want to! Well, I'm sure they're not all boring, but for the most part they are ;)

I think the answer may be that there are some women who have waaay more than 10 lifetime partners (we may know some - lol) which restores the statistical average.

I know tons of people who have had 5 or less partners...so they def bring the avg down.
