Being Italian, swearing has been a major part of my life since before I was born. My Nonna (gramma) swore like a trucker in multiple languages.

OMG! Hilarious! I love the way Italians use it with everything and with such emotion too!

I am the reincarnation of someone who swore too fucking much!

I think it's hilarious that all the profanity in Italian is multi-syllabic. In English, fuck is an expletive - Fuck!

The Italians want lots of syllables to work (or play) with while they are swearing.

Aren't cultural differences fascinating? :)

Yup, dirty talk and taboo words are super-sexy in the right circumstances. In addition to sudden exclamations, I sometimes build up to it on purpose...

During peaceful lulls in our play, I'll sometimes start telling my partner a little story whose language and subject matter grow steadily more explicit. It usually starts out a little over a whisper. If I've done it right, crafting and nudging the story based on what she respond to the most, I need to raise my voice toward the end so she can hear me over the other noises. :)

Words and images are powerful sexual triggers.

I almost never swear.

I find it disturbing and annoying in some contexts, but not in others. When my eldest (adult) son swears in front of his younger teenage brothers, I find it very annoying. But last week, I was with a service provider who used the F - words, but did so in a manner that clearly flirty, not insulting, so it didn't bother me at all.

I absolutely adore a lady who can talk dirty to me! It sometimes gets away from me as well ;)

As for casually, I try to keep a lid on it (usually unsuccessfully). I'm currently making my way through Deadwood and find myself cursing up a storm like a motherfucker!!

Oh ya! I love dirty talk. I don't swear much outside the bedroom, but I love it as an enjoyable part of good sex. Sometimes that's all it takes to add a little flavour to a vanilla session and get the blood pumping! But it can't be like bad dialogue in a porn movie. It has to be said with gusto! For me it's the same as an uninhibited moan, groan or scream.

I notice everyone's been standing up for their culture's mastery of "creative" swearing so I have to put in a good word, or maybe that should be a bad word, for the Irish. A good salty Irish sentence can be 90% swearing. The other thing the Irish have mastered is inserting f--k into the middle of a word or name... "David Mcf--kingdonald". If you've seen any Irish movies like "In Brouge" or the "The Guard" you know they don't write dialogue like that in Hollywood.

I rest my case for the Irish as both great fornicators and cursers :-)

I swear like a sailor generally, but try to tone it down a bit when with people I don't know too well. During sex? I really suck at dirty talk, sure I'll cuss a bit, but trying to get me to talk dirty? I turn pink and start giggling.
