Lexy Grace 103696 Report post Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) I've lived in Halifax all my life and I'm sure there are places that I haven't eaten at or that have just newly opened. I'm looking for your suggestions on great places to eat, preferably not a place where their main selling dishes are shellfish (deadly allergy:shock:), fish is fine but no shellfish. That was not nice of me to exclude the shellfish lovers, I love shellfish but I just can't eat it. Please do include all great food places, that everyone can enjoy. Thanks in advance for your help! My grand mother did not live in Halifax so we rarely went there when visiting but occasionally we would take a day trip to check out our old house in Dartmouth. Reddog2402 2217 Report post Posted April 13, 2013 If you want to head out of town a little bit, Rhubarb Cafe in Indian Harbour (near Peggy's Cove) is fantastic. Fresh, locally-sourced food, and their menu is constantly being updated to include whatever is in season. Also a fantastic atmosphere - it's right on St. Margarets Bay, and they have a great patio overlooking the water. Ventrue 120 Report post Posted April 13, 2013 Is good Japanese restaurant. I'v only had the chicken teriyaki there but it's half the price of one place that disappointed me and it tasted better.
