Hello!

 

I was wondering how you gentlemen feel about using Twitter to meet ladies in the industry.

 

Do you find Twitter to be an informative resource for selecting a lady? Why or why not?

 

For the ladies that use Twitter, do you find it to be an excellent way to communicate with your clients?

 

Any comments or experiences with Twitter would be greatly appreciated.

I have a twitter account, and follow some of the ladies here, but outside of this site I really don't trust twitter to meet an SP or MA. reason being is quite simple... too many fakes and scammers. ive had to block several people on my twitter account because the majority of them are indeed fake, and its really easy for me to spot a fake!

Twitter is a great tool... but it requires fairly regular attention especially on the part of providers.

 

I can see it as a valuable asset for touring providers not only to reinforce schedules etc, but to gauge interest in a particular area of the country.

 

As a hobbyist, I love the more direct interaction - the chance to actually converse in real time with providers that may or may not be heading to my town or who are currently in town.

 

On the negative side, there appears to be little to no moderation - so there is a chance for the detractors to flame - but personality will shine through to compensate.

Twitter is a wonderful asset to this business. I find it beneficial to my business and a wonderful tool. It lets people see another side of me and I also get an insight into others.

I don't have Twitter and maybe I'm missing something, but from my limited exposure reading some Tweets, it seems more (and I may definitely be wrong here) a site where people post short one liners for lack of a better term. I'm not minimizing Twitter, like I said I don't have an account and Twitter may have other resources only Twitter users know about and outsiders don't...I don't know. Maybe one day I'll have to take the time to check out more closely Twitter and maybe Facebook, but for now I'm not a social media guy

I prefer using an escort recommendation board, well more specifically CERB ;-) and reading a lady's website and her board profile. Reading a lady's postings gives you an idea of who she is. And my preferred method of contact, unless another is preferred by the lady is email. I also find when contacting a lady and providing verification information, some ladies like to know what board you belong to and to verify your board profile/handle by PM. That way the lady can read some of your posts to get an idea of the type of man she is going to meet.

While I don't know that I would ever use it as a means of contact I do follow a few SP's on Twitter. Like Emily said, it does allow you to see another side of the ladies.

 

Unfortunately, sometimes that side isn't a good one. I recall two separate touring providers that I had been interested in seeing for quite some time. While I waited for them to come back to Ontario I decided to follow them on twitter.

 

One young lady did nothing but bash other girls, talk about drug use, and most of her posts were written in, for lack of a better word, "gansta" slang. Her tweets seemed geared more to her friends so I have no idea why she would be using her provider name.

 

The other one seemed much more professional overall but her tweets all had a negative tone to them. To me she came across as very cynical and sometimes judgemental.

 

I should add that both of these ladies have some very positive reviews but I feel like seeing them on twitter showed me that we would not have been compatible. Had I not seen their tweets I probably would have booked these ladies and who knows, perhaps within the confines of a one hour appointment these traits would not have shown and I may have had a great time. Unfortunately having read them I just didn't feel comfortable in doing so.

I have a twitter account,and think it's a useful tool. I think it's a good way to get a feel for personality of the ladies I follow, but I don't use it to find them, as you don't get the details.

 

Can't say I have seen a lot of flaming.

 

As for the ladies it's a great way to let guys know you're there and when you're available.

So far I have tweeted silly things I find entertaining, however, I think twitter would be a great tool for making important announcements.

 

It is a page dedicated to you, you can put whatever you want up there and you can control who can and can not read your page. With my very limited usage of twitter, I would say that it's a great tool.

 

The best part is that it's free and very simple to set up. So I can imagine that it would be very simple to get rid of if you decide you don't like using it. I would say give it a try and if you don't like it, just get rid of it.

As a few others have said I do use Twitter and it has allowed me to get to know a few ladies a little more. Often I'll follow ones I've met or think I want to meet and it helps confirm our likely compatability. Actually builds on the anticipation as I get to see insights into someone who intrigued me. And often my instincts are good and then we can even begin a dialogue or tweet dating. Haha. It can take a great deal of time but I'm not out there looking for followers on my 'hobby name' not I'm I following a great number of people. Only those I've met and connected with and those I've connected with and not yet me. Oh and a few gents who seem similar minded to myself. So for me it's very useful.

I saw a lady mainly because of her Twitter account. She didn't have a blog, wasn't part of any forums actively, or have any online presence with the exception of her website and Twitter account.

 

But from the stuff she said, and shared, she gave an impression of being thoroughly into her work. I liked that a lot, and saw her. And had a great time too.

 

For me, it's having an online presence that's important. I haven't seen anyone without a website, but I'm more likely to see someone who is active here, comfortable with a blog sharing her thoughts, or whatever outlet she prefers.
