I became Cato on funinaustralia. com, my first board, and the name emigrated with me. Cato the Elder? or the Younger? I picked Erin because when I started working for the agency they said no one would know how to pronounce Lux which is what I had been using up until that point. Erin was what I was almost named in real life. On a dating/sexual advice board I'm a member of, I go by the handle Simone de Boudoir, which is a play on Simone de Beauvoir's name. Fortunately for me, CCR was playing on the radio and the idea that: It ain't me, it ain't me... I ain't no fortunate one. Kind of stuck in my head: handle = anonymous = it ain't me :sm185: I use it on all the boards I join tho. I've mostly worked in media so "good branding" is something of which I'm aware. Lol. Of course, at this stage in my "career", the on-line moniker probably provides an ironically interesting mix of reality, memory and desire. At least for me. Lol. To make a fake name which was not identifiable outside cerb, I quickly came-up with what has been in my head for decades... The Sound of Porn Music... Cheesy Porn Music. Bown-Chicka-BOWN! WOWN!! REEEE-eeee-EEEEE-eeee! (Thrown in with a squeaky bed at the end for good measure.) It's something I picked-up back in the uni dazes and has always stuck with me. After making a few posts and learning more about cerb, I wanted to change it to a better name, but don't believe I can just change names on this account. ...and I didn't want to create a new one after getting this one set-up. I usually shy away from this cause I think that's the beginning of idenity theft, getting spammed, finding viruses, etc... For some reason unknown to me, my cautious self dove in. Then I wanted something cityish, strong but sweet/kind. I've had strong routes in 2 cities. Where I leave now and where I was born and raised. My youth was in Wpg but left many years ago thus Winnipegcub. I found it is confusing for some as they usually start off, How are things in Winnipeg? Which of course I'm not there. I always thought King Aragorn was way cooler as a Ranger than as a King. I always tack a semi-random number onto internet names, and this number happens to be a variation of a code that I use all the time.
