Seems like there is a price war on in Winnipeg over the past week. Some sp's are giving it away for 1 brown for 1/2 hour. Whats up with that???

I think over the past week girls may be offering a discount due to Christmas, I have a special going right now that I have had going for pretty much since the beginning of December.

 

We all understand things may be tight (wallet), and you still have your needs, as we do. So lowering our rates doesn't mean we are undercutting. Just grab those rates while you can. Cause come the new year they will be hiked up again.

It's completely out of respect for you gentlemen that have family to buy for during the holidays.

I can tell you that it has nothing to do with the phone not ringing, it's respect for the men that work hard and need to save extra 20-25 for a certain gift, but treat themselves to a present as well. :)

A few SPs in the Ottawa area are also offering Xmas specials which is a great idea for all us hobbyists. As mentioned, Xmas espenses tend to run very high so there is a lot of competition to get your dollar. I haven't seen any freebies though yet??:(

That mite be the case for you Holly, but there are some sp's that are lowering the there rates because it's tight for them this time of the year. A few extra calls at a reduced price just mite make the difference for the family's.

 

In one case an sp told me she had seem 6 clients at 100, where normally she mite only see one client at 150-200.

I would imagine that this is the reason, as clients have their time and budgets stretched for xmas. The want is still there so instead of not dropping $220 for an hour with a regular, if there's a $100 half hour special happening, that could entice a client to make an appearance.

 

So that's xmas economics - is there a drop in January with realization of CC bills and New Year's resolutions not to cheat on the wife or spend as much on escorts?? ;)

I can see what your saying, but I personally wouldn"t want to put that much time and energy into 6 clients. Where as I can see twoor three for almost the same amount of money.

It may sound harsh, but when I see someone I want to be at my best, and not exhausted, especially after the fifth client. I am by no means a robot. Unless she has a pussy made of steel, some client's can put you out of commission. I know I've seen some that make me feel like I may not be working for the rest of the day.

As for time and energy, it involves changing sheets setting ambiance, picking out what you want to wear. The list goes on. Then when it's a new client there can be mental stress there. We all just want to do the best we can, and make sure you leave happy.

I don't know the girl your talking about but if she can manage 6 a day, good for her. I save that kinda sex for a S/O when I have one.

No offense to the OP, but I have also seen a lot of reviews of a negative nature reminding guys that they get what they pay for and Too Good To Be True regarding the sorts of specials that are so drastically lower than average. If these are sps who would not normally have half hour rates, and their regular hour rate is 200, then I can see it being a fantastic offer. Normally they would be charging 120 at least.

 

But if it is not someone reliable and reputable, all too often what you hear is that it is a rushed service usually less than the promised half hour or there is no GFE included, there is nothing in the way of extra services at that rate, and if the client does want those extras then the price will go up accordingly. Or by client #7 she is lets him in, strips, lays on her back and stares at the ceiling until he is done.

 

In other words, if you see such a special offer, book earlier appts and ask questions about what is or is not included for the special rate. ;-)

There usually is a drop in January/February, due to all the bills that come with Christmas.

But if an SP is smart she won't go on a shopping spree and have her expenses paid due to those slower month's.

I have my future shop card and cell bill paid until February, just cause I've seen this happen over the many years of SP'ing. Where I live I share my rent and it's not alot seeing two clients pays that.

But this is also why I take on my seasonal job. Guarenteed income every two weeks to make sure my car payments are taken care of as well.

Well Lucky Lady we are only talking about 25.00 between your holiday rates and hers so I really don't see that much difference. The bottom line is some of these young sp's see let say your rates at 125.00 for a 1/2 and so they drop there prices to 100.00 for a 1/2 hour.

Ok still trying to figure out your initial post. It was about price wars. That we are basically competing for your hard earned money. Please enlighten me on what it is your trying to say. Sure there's a 25 dollar difference. But you initially called it a war.

I very rarely get half hour appointments. I must have a different clientle then she does.

It's amazing some of the guys I see know I have an hour special as well and they still pay my full rate. I've tryed to give money back. I make mention they over payed me.

 

What I was basically saying is that I don't want to see 6 guys a day. I like my 2-3 usually an hour appt, and be able to give them an unrushed relaxing experience. Like FO said you get what you pay for, and more then likely by the 6th client she was just going through the motions and staring at the ceiling till the deed was done.

But whatever. You asked about it being some sort of a competition and now your judging my prices compared to hers. All the best to her. If she has that much time and energy to see that many guys, good for her. I like to put my time and energy into a full session. Not having a revolving door.

I've seen it with a former local SP, bringing in 6-7 clients at 100 and they are in and out in about 7-10 minutes. Is that good quality? I wouldn't think so. But to each their own.

 

Then you get the reputable SP's that don't just get you off and have you heading for the door. I guess I must stutter when I type cause your not really reading what I'm typing. And like what I've already said it has nothing to do with the phone not ringing. I have to turn it off to get sleep. It's about the respect for the client's at a tight time of the year.

You usually get what you pay for-for me an additional bit of time for the same cash would be better than a discount -but i would rather pay more (substantually) for a well rested happy provider any day of the week-just my 2 cents

Many of us had specials for the Holiday Season and has absolutely nothing to do with "friends" not requesting encounters with us.

We all know how hard it gets to get presents for everyone in the family and sometimes co-workers, business related appreciation events and so on.

But we also know that the gentlemen at CERB try their best to include themselves in the celebration and count on their gifts to themselves.

On the other topic, if you already know the person you are going to be with, there is no need to wonder what kind of time or "service" you would get.

I understand what you are saying regarding "cut downs and short cuts" on the hands of some providers, but my first remark will be "stick to the ladies you already know who are giving specials for December and part of January.

Jeez, Holly. I didn’t realize I had that kind of an effect on you. I don’t know if I should view this as a personal accomplishment on my part or maybe I should be easing up on you.

You know the saying, “a starving wolf on a piece of meat” (that just opens up so many zingers now).

 

Oh your such a sweetie. There are the select few that I don't mind putting me out of commission for the rest of the day. ;).

If I've had fun then it makes my day all the better. I say screw the rest of the day, cause I just got screwed the way I like it.
