Me and Naomi's rant!!!!

Last time I came to Ottawa I LOVED it. The gentlemen were great the city is beautiful and the ladies here were very supportive and welcoming. I could not wait to come back and told Naomi all the great stuff about Ottawa!!

 

But then we get here and it is like a different city!!! I have never in any of the cities I have visited seen anything like this. EVERY one of our CL ads got flagged, prank phone calls and to top it off about 7 different people called and booked us, confirmed their appointment. Then would call from downstairs for the room number claiming they are in the lobby, then they never arrive at our room. Is that normal here?? It happened 7 times that is crazy!!! Is it ladies messing around with us??? I hope that it is not normally like this because it is not making Naomi and I want to come back.

 

I am sorry if I offended anyone in this post I am very upset. It has cost Naomi and I more money to be here then we have made due to these fake appointments being booked, people flagging our ads and what not.

That's insane...so sorry you went through that...did you get the guys numbers to confirm appointments? If you did you should list them in the sp no show section. also did you ask for a reference? This seems to be the best thing to do these days ...this way it limits the game playing. Can't tell you anything about CL as i never go there..

Although I have met many nice gentlemen through CL, ( I advertise on there too) there is also a lot of trash on there ...with that being said 7 no shows sounds odd, yes the occasional no show can occur , but not 7..perhaps someone was indeed trying to mess with your business.

 

Just wanna also confirm, that these no shows were from CL not here on CERB..That is one of the many reasons I love CERB so much..seems like 99% of the users on here are serious and not inconsiderate time wasters...I have yet to have a no show through CERB.

 

Anyways, all that to say keep posting on here and I am sure you will do very well!!! Do not let others succeed at trying to bring you down...

I would get their contact info, and the numbers they where calling from, and also post it in the no show/wot time area. Also, if they are CERB members pulling that BS, I am pretty sure the mod can deal with that.

 

As for .........., it is a common complaint of many women that their ads get flagged. I am not sure what the threshold is for flagging hits, but you might want to check here

I wouldn't let this discourage you from coming back to Ottawa. It's annoying, absolutely, but don't let the antics of a few whack-jobs ruin an otherwise great trip!

That is brutal. There is no doubt in my mind now that there is an individual or group of people that target specific girls to try and kill their business. And CL is becoming more trouble than it's worth.

My ads get flagged on CL constantly. Its jealous competiton... then again, you also have to know how to get around that system, which I do. So all in all, I repost, they flag, it goes on. Who's going to win, I am ofcourse;-)

Cancelations and no shows seem to be the common theme this month. If it is any consolation, as a client I as well have had no shows.

 

The choice of using CL to advertise is one of caution. While you may reach a broader audience, you also increase the opportunity to be disappointed or worse, out of pocket. I have never seen someone who solely advertises on CL; all have had to have at least some presence on CERB. Even with this approach, all of my disappointments with meeting courtesans have been with those who advertise on Craig?s List. Last fall after two no shows in a row I vowed to use CL to eliminate who I will see. Arguably, there are some gems to be found on CL, but I have neither the time nor patience to find them.

 

Ironically, the two no shows were women who were well reviewed. I even politely e-mailed them about the no show, concerned and hoping that they were fine. Yet I never even had a response and their ads were back up the next day.

 

IMHO, stick with CERB and drop CL. The clientele you reach may be fewer, but I believe the reliability is higher and if like me, tend to book longer appointments. In the end, you have to make your own decisions.

That is the most insane thing I have ever heard! Yet there have been incidences in the past of visiting sp's to Ottawa having fake bookings by someone who clearly has some very serious issues! Sorry the two of you had to go through that, it's just very childish behaviour.

I'm ashamed this would happen in the Ottawa area. So many problems seem to indicate that someone was specifically targetting you and Noemie. Being a great sp visit to Ottawa probably drew someone's attention too much. I would suggest you ask for references like some other SPs do. Cerb participants should be able to provide that easily: I do. For such two beautiful SPs as you, I'm really ashamed and understand your rant. I'm pissed off and can't accept that some people would do that. ***K.

There is lots of good advice here by the various contributors to this thread. Advertise here and on E-C, ask for references and if you have any problems with no-shows from CERB members then report them. You should also join the SP section here to view the info on no-shows.

It is well known that CL is increasingly becoming a haven for scammers, what will happen is the scammers will attempt to move into CERB once the easy money disappears from CL.

 

The scammers follow the money, with CERB as a reliable social platform for hobbiest and providers its still vulnerable to the scammers who will try everything. Unfortunately more work for the mods and CK.

 

Sorry ladies that you were victims but its a warning to all legitemate service providers.

I am so sorry that this has happened. It's down right hateful and disrespectful.

 

I advertise on CL here in Halifax and will be making plans to visit Ottawa in the near future but I think I will only advertise on CL for Ottawa as a last resort.

 

I deal with the same crap on CL here but not to that degree by any means.

 

Reading this makes me very hesitant to even leave Halifax now.

 

I wish I could say more but I'm at a lost.

It's easy to forget sometimes that "most" of the people in the business have no business management training or prior business

 

Without some of these business management skills people (in general) have a hard time grasping business concepts and showing "professionalism". Most career/business people know that if they miss an appointment with a client your pretty much screwed and lost that deal for good... and not to mention we all know it's extremely unprofessional. Financial tracking is also not at the top of the list of business skills, organization is horrible with most and I can't even go into the marketing and promotions. (Again we have many exceptions but more then 60% of the ladies this holds true to - and agency owners)

 

But like I say over and over (This business is not like any other business in the world)... It must be treated very differently as it's very unique (and special). Where the ladies may need improvement in business management they make up for in tenfold in "other skills" so you must accept the good with the bad. " experience and ethics (as you said it is a "cut skills. (I DID SAY MOST - WE DO HAVE MANY EXCEPTIONS).

As mentioned earlier in the thread, do not allow them to think they have disrupted your service that you are not willing to come back to Ottawa.

 

Follow the advice provided and utilize Cerb and Escorts Canada as you advertising venues.

I too am really sorry to hear about this, Jasmine. I had been looking forward to your visit, and was unfortunately away while you were in Ottawa.

Your pics are among the best on cerb, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was some jealousy out there in cl land.
