capitalman 3861 Report post Posted April 14, 2010 Do you believe the number 13 is bad luck? Do you think walking under a ladder is bad luck? Break a mirror and get 7 years of bad luck? The number 13 permeated my life yesterday and since then I've had a number of bad things happen....but today I'm better and the number seems to be gone. Normally I don't buy into that stuff, but yesterday I did for some reason. I always walk under ladders, in fact when I try to avoid them bad things seem to happen.....almost like a REVERSE superstition! Weird.... I also have a lucky number that comes up a lot, so I buy lottery tickets with different combinations of that number...but I haven't won yet! I guess it's BS. No way, I will cross the QWY walking if I had to avoid passing under it..... Number 13 is only bad on Fridays (TStorm is right) Black cats? I ave one and she is my joy....no bad luck there!!!! Playoff beards, goalies tapping their nets and players wearing their lucky shirts are just surface. When I had the agency I would simply go out for a bite to eat at a sit down restaurant. As soon as the food was ordered the phone would start ringing off the hook. I also wear a certain eyeliner that I feel is good luck for when I meet someone new. There are certain blouses and pieces of lingere that I wear when I've had good experiences in the past. And... When I was younger my friend and I used to go to a landfill. his parents were fixing their home so we made lots of trips. So for some reason there were mirrors all over one day and being 13 or so we didn't question a chance to break stuff guilt free we ran around for quite a while smashing mirrors. I should have hundreds of years of bad luck. But all my limbs are still attached I have food and shelter and people who... Acknowledge my existence! I have had some crap but I figure that's life.
