A question to the amazing ladies of winnipeg and ones visiting

Recommended Posts

So I had some major emergency surgery back in August everything went well and I'm healing up very well......I'm a very self conscience of my appearance im know model but i always dressed well and neat in appearance. The question I have though is because I was left with a bit of a disfigurement I'm nervous to tell the .. up front about it as it may turn them off and reject me right away......but it's only fair they should know......so I'm wondering if there would be any ladies that after discussion between us would be willing to spend time with me.

Just an observation I've noticed from seeing many amazing ladies. When I introduce myself I let the lady know I'm bald, wear glasses, perfect weight if I was eight feet tall LOL oh and I'm in my fifties. I'm not what you call easy on the eyes LOL...definitely not cover of GQ material. All that has mattered to the ladies I have met is that I am a gentleman, and that I treat them with the utmost respect, which they deserve btw.

My guess, what will be important with any lady you meet is that you are a respectful gentleman. You may wish to tell a lady you want to meet about your surgery, my guess, she's more interested in the man you are

Good Luck

First of all, best wishes on your healing well.

Secondly, scars and 'disfigurements', as you have put it, are the body's roadmap of your life.

There is nothing that would turn me off of a gentleman, except ungentlemanly behavior.

I am pretty sure that discussing this with someone, they will feel the same way I do, 'does it make you any less a gentleman?' then no, there would be no rejection on my part.

Major surgeries are a lot to deal with, rejection from someone because of it would be inappropriate.

You are still you, you just have a life experience that someone else may not have.

I may end up coming to Winnipeg instead of Ottawa if the gentlemen there are all like you :)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery back to health.

I saw this earlier and had to think about whether to respond.

I had some stuff happen too, my face was almost certainly worse than yours. It will still need another touch up. I was afraid to leave my house because I thought everyone would stare. Of course, eventually, I had to. And nobody stared. I thought OMG I look like a freak...but really most people don't even notice.

Neither of the ladies I see made a big deal of it except to ask how I felt, or if there was anything they could do to help. Ladies are VERY good at picking up unspoken signals regarding what you want to talk about and what you don't want to talk about. One of them actually talked to me on her own time about this and she helped me a lot more than any shrink. So if it really bothers you they may make you change your mind about it.

Couldn't find a video link to post, but who saw 'MASK'?.... when Florence 'Rusty' Dennis (portrayed by Cher), gave her son 'Rocky' (portrayed by Eric Stoltz), an escort for his 18th birthday. They both saw a lot of beauty in each other. Probably a bad comparison, but get the idea? It was a GREAT movie!

I will speak from my personal experiences, life and otherwise. I do see disabled clients. ( ie; wheelchairs & various forms of prosthesis, colostomy bags and those with fresh or healing tissues from major surgeries, I can go on ... ). If you are up front with the lady that you're looking to book an appointment with and let her know ahead of time, I'm sure it will not be an issue. It might be an issue if there is a chance of passing an infection, a surprise or she's just not comfortable or thinks that she may hurt you.

Some people are more superficial than others and some people are more understanding than others but that's not just providers, that's just people in general.

Myself, I am not concerned with the appearance of someone per se. What I want is a gentlemen who has taken the time to groom himself, shower, brush teeth and have respect for me and see me as a person.

Best of luck with your search, I hope it works out for you!
