I'll go against Paul the Octopus, predict a Holland win. It's finally their turn.

The final score 3-2.

Spain wins the world cup in 2010:D.

I wonder who predicted that :)

My pick for 2010, is Spain. They have been doing quite well.

Too bad I am not a betting (for money) man!!!

Spain was a better team. It was only fair. They deserved it for sure.

Spain won. Congrats. They were a better team, beating both Germany and Holland.

The game should have been a wrap a long time ago if the ref wasnt too lenient on the amount of fouls he gave holland.

Congrats to Spain regardless. truly deserved. the whole world can learn from their style of play.

Yes to bad that Holland lost, they did not play well. Far too many penalties, free kicks, for minute there I thought the official was playing his own game.

Anyways Spain won and congrats to them, and also congrats to

The German Octopus that picked Spain.

I would concede that Holland did not win - but they did not loose either.

Spain played better in ball possession however, the 2 breaks that Holland failed to capitalize on was their demise - they had the best chances (quality wise). They failed to convert.

The officiating was one of the worst I have seen, it is about the same level as when Zidane was red carded, from the video replay since the ref did not see the hit on the Italian player.

Holland set the tone for the first half - fouling Spain.

It was a big mistake - because they can play better - they were intimidated by Spain's skill.

DeJong should have been sent off for his studs into the chest of Alonso.

Sneidjer - supposed to be the playmaker for Holland - was hardly in the game.

Van Bommel was brutal - as he has been throughout the tournament. Take out the man, don't bother about the ball.

Holland's display was a sad reflection of their history - they went for brute force over skill.

Spain deservedly won.

I was for Spain from before the tournament began.

The beautiful game won over cynicism.

I'm just sorry that Holland resorted to the tactics they did.

The way these guys

Gotta say... I was cheering for Holland to win but I couldn't have been been more disappointed with the quality of play in the last two rounds. Kudos to Spain for the victory, but let's hope that 2014 brings us much better action.

And the Golden Ball goes to Diego Forlan!

While I am a fan of the Dutch and now in mourning as I put away my orange jersey until Euro 2012, I have to absolutely agree with the choice of Diego. He carried Uruguay to the semi-finals on his shoulders. My hat is off to the Fifa committee who made that choice as it would have been too easy to pick oone of the players from the winning team.
