I was new and didn't realize the amount of guys who preferred brunettes. I kept it blond for 10 years! It did suit me and I resembled my proper dutch heritage rather than now when people ask me if I'm native american :) I found the maintenance of the blond hair a nuisance I no longer have and my hair is much healthier as a result. I have been a red head too and it looked awesome but again.. maintenance is such an issue..I like the KISS principle. Keep it simple stupid. Makes my life soooo much easier. My friend keeps bugging me to do the highlights again but I like my colour and the way my hair feels "au naturel". It still is nice to dream but heck....is that not what wigs are for? The only other questions are: length and style (but that is for another thread). Again if you go with KISS your hair should fall into place with a minimum of fuss. If you liike it long, then who has to do the brushing to keep that lovely shiny lustre. But as for the colour, whatever suits the lady is fine for me. Really light/alabastor white skin,...JET BLACK HAIR (anyone remember lily from cmj 8-) or even Nadja) In general I'd say silky jet black is my favorite... but red heads are always head turners :P Never been big on blondes.. not to say they are not attractive, just never been a head turner for me Ever notice there is no such thing as an average looking (natural) redhead? However, if you were to review my dating history, you would see a definite tendency towards relationships with brunettes. A blond will usually grab my attention first; but it seems, it's the brunette who will hold onto it longer. Although... lately, I'm noticing a very strong attraction towards raven haired beauties. Cuz I would feel really awkward in staring at your picture and feeling the way I do if you were a man!!!!! Hair colour??? I used to have a blondes only policy. It always caught my eye when I was younger... and historically, my checkered relationship trail is full of fallen blondes. Now it isn't as much about colour as it is texture and suitability. My hands are drawn to hair like a magnet to steel... I have to be with someone that has amazing "playable" hair. If I like the woman, it doesn't matter much about hair or eye colour to be honest. Much like Annessa, my son is in to blondes big time! Too bad she was such a nasty thing personality-wise. Later, I learned to appreciate those of the Red/Strawberry persuasion. I have a chemical affinity for the red variant. I love, love, LOVE changing my hair colour and I change it often. I've dyed my hair pink, purple and every shade of red you can think of. It's just so hard to maintain :(. When my hair starts to show signs of over-processing, I go ahead and dye it all black. Then, I let my hair "rest" for a month or 2 and then I start all over again lol!
