Reflecting on some disturbing recent incidents, I've been thinking how important it is for sp's ALWAYS to send a PM confirmation to verify before accepting a claim from someone saying I'm 'so and so'. The person may not be who he claims to be. And it's not only the reputation of impersonated members that's at stake. It shouldn't be necessary to say this, but maybe it is. Please check before accepting a phone or text request. A simple precaution, but an important one.

Being impersonated. Very distressing. If anyone's been contacted by "Cato" who then didn't show up for the appointment, it wasn't me.
